Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Not long after the rabbit demon beast returned to the main palace and resumed its lazy lifestyle centered around eating spirit stones, the muscular domain lord and the rest of the Iron Sky Kingdom learnt about what had happened at the border. Of course, the information that came back was just about how the invading forces had been decimated and sent running. Not anything about who was behind the entire thing, causing everyone except the muscular domain to think that Yi Min was one behind the death of the three Soul Ascension Realm Experts from the invading forces. Resulting in all of them feeling a profound sense of fear whenever they looked towards the main palace at the center of the capital.

At the same time, news about the sudden disappearance of a certain prominent family’s old ancestor also spread began spreading through the capital, but that news didn’t end up causing any waves as everyone was far more focused on the fact that Yi Min had the strength to kill three Soul Ascension Realm Expert.

In the end, the situation in the capital continued to be restless for the next few weeks. However, none of this affected the rabbit demon beast as it happily continued eating the spirit stones that its master had given it on top of one of the large fluffy beds in the main palace while the squirrel was sitting on the ground next to the bed. Fully focused on increasing its strength. Only peeking up towards the rabbit demon beast every now and then with a hungry expression on its face.

Even if it understood that there was no way that the rabbit demon beast would hand over any of the spirit stones, it didn’t stop the squirrel from dreaming about the day where it could get its own interspatial ring filled with spirit stones-

Swoosh~

And it was with this in mind that the squirrel managed to seamlessly break through another minor realm in the Nascent Soul Realm. Getting it one step closer to the Domain Lord Ream and its dream of owning an interspatial ring filled to the brim with spirit stones.

”Squeak?”

Noticing the squirrel’s breakthrough, the rabbit demon beast lifted its head in surprise. Not having expected the squirrel to break through a minor realm in such a short period of time.

”Squeak…”

Thinking about something for a few minutes as it gazed down at the now happy squirrel below it, the rabbit demon beast hesitated for a good minute before taking out a spirit stone before throwing it to the squirrel that let out an overjoyed squealing sound in response.

Even if it didn’t want to hand over its spirit stones to the squirrel, it understood that it should reward its little follower.

Chomp~ Chomp~

Lost in its own thoughts while looking down at the squirrel happily eating the spirit stone, the rabbit demon beast could not help feeling a tinge of regret before it turned its attention back towards eating spirit stones on its own. Trying its best to pretend like the squirrel wasn’t there and it couldn’t hear it chewing through the spirit stone.

…

”Back here again…” Muttering this to himself as they once again found themselves in front of the Frozen Wasteland, Xuan Hao could not help hesitating as he remembered the terrifying divine sense that had swept over them the last time, they had passed through the Frozen Wasteland to reach the Blue Shore Kingdom.

Even without meeting the other party, it was clear that he or she should have reached the Celestial Immortal Realm or whatever was the demonic cultivators equivalent to the Celestial Immortal Realm.

Of course, with this in mind, Xuan Hao wasn’t too thrilled about having to pass through the Frozen Wasteland again, as he and Yi Min would inevitably run the risk of attracting the attention of the powerful expert that had spotted them the last time around. The only difference being the fact that the other party now had some clue as to his mastery of the Dao of Space. Meaning there was a chance that certain restrictions had been put in place along the path they had travelled on to reach the desolate edge of the continent.

”Is something wrong?”

”No, it’s nothing…” Hearing Yi Min calling out to them after they had remained in front of the border separating the Frozen Wasteland and the desolate edge of the continent for a few minutes without moving, Xuan Hao shook his head before nervously proceeding to enter the Frozen Wasteland together with Yi Min.

No matter how much he wanted to avoid the Frozen Wastelands, he also understood that the only way for them to reach the Star Shattering Sect was by passing through the Frozen Wasteland.

Well… There were other methods to reach the Star Shattering Sect, but the time it would take, even with his mastery over the Dao of Space, would be far too long. After all, to avoid the Frozen Wasteland, they had to go around it and pass through countless small and big empires on their way back to the Star Shattering Sect... And that is not mentioning the potential dangers that would come along with exploring a brand-new region that neither he nor Yi Min had any knowledge on.

Not to mention, they might still end up running into a Celestial Immortal by trying to avoid the Frozen Wasteland, as some of the kingdoms and empires they had to pass through could did have Celestial Immortal Realm Experts watching over them.

At least by going through the Frozen Wasteland, the number of powerful demonic cultivators that they might end up encountering would be far lower…

Swoosh~!

Not intending to spend longer than necessary inside the Frozen Wasteland after they had once again stepped inside of it, Xuan Hao decided to use all of his strength from the start to twist the space around him and rapidly teleport across the Frozen Wasteland together with Yi Min. Not caring the slightest bit about the massive amount of qi that was drained with each step he took.

Even if he would end up exhausted by the end and had to spend a few days focused on recovering instead of increasing his cultivating, Xuan Hao felt that it would be worth it if he and Yi Min could get out of the Frozen Wasteland safely….

Luckily for both of them, their journey back through the Frozen Wasteland went by without any major problems.

The most troublesome thing they ended up encountering was a group of demonic cultivators heading towards the core region of the Frozen Wasteland. Among these demonic cultivators was one that had reached the Demon Lord Realm, the demonic cultivators equivalent to the Earth Immortal Realm.

However, although he did notice Xuan Hao and Yi Min, he only made sure that they didn’t attack him and the rest of the demonic cultivators before resuming his journey towards the core of the Frozen Wasteland.

According to what little information that they managed to overhear from conversations between the rest of the demonic cultivators who hadn’t noticed them while passing through, they managed to learn that a group of powerful demonic cultivators had called for all of the demonic cultivators in the Demon Lord Realm to gather together with their subordinates.

Like any normal cultivator, learning about this, both Xuan Hao and Yi Min became rather anxious after learning about this. After all, the Star Shattering Sect and the Iron Sky Kingdom were located close to the borders of the Frozen Wastelands. No matter what reason the demonic cultivators had for suddenly gathering together like this, both of them understood that it wouldn’t be anything good.

On the positive side, it might be because of this sudden gathering of demonic cultivators in the core of the Frozen Wasteland that they were able to smoothly pass through the Frozen Wasteland without encountering any problems…

”Finally, back…”

”Indeed, I didn’t expect the journey to take such a long time, but at least both of us managed to gain quite a bit on this journey.”

”Yes… I really can’t thank you enough for this opportunity. Not only did I reach the Grandmaster Realm, but I even had the chance to obtain the inheritance of a newly promoted Saint Realm Blacksmith because of y-”

”No need to worry about it, we should head back to your kingdom for now and see how things are going. After all, even if I trust the little rabbit in protecting your kingdom, I doubt it will be kind to your palace…” Interrupting Yi Min before she had a chance to finish her sentence, Xuan Hao suddenly had a somewhat foreboding feeling as he remembered the rabbit demon beast currently in charge of protecting the Iron Sky Kingdom.

”This… Sure…” Narrowing both her eyes for a brief moment after being interrupted, Yi Min let out a quiet sigh as she nodded her head in agreement.

Even if she wanted to find a way to thank Xuan Hao for the opportunity to reach the Half Saint Realm, she was indeed a bit worried about her kingdom after being reminded that the sole protecter of her kingdom at the moment was a small cute looking rabbit…
