Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Having his question so far answered and also finding out about the realm above the Earth Immortal- Or Dao Seed Realm as it was originally called, Xuan Hao could not help feeling thankful that the old man answered all of his questions without hesitation and to the best of his ability.

Although the old man clearly didn’t know anything about some of the things, he asked about due to his rather low cultivation realm, he still did his best to answer his questions and even handed him a book on formations.

Considering that both of them had never met each other before, Xuan Hao guessed that the reason why the old man treated him so kindly was because he was related to the Mirage Sect.

I guess the only question I have left to ask is about his family and where he is from…

Narrowing both his eyes as he thought about this, Xuan Hao decided to first ask about the easiest of the two questions.

”Senior, if you don’t mind me asking… Where are you from? Are you perhaps from one of the other continents that were created during the calamity of the ancient world?”

”Hm? Oh, no, I’m not from any of the four continents.” ”Huh? Not one of the four continents? Are there perhaps more continents outside of the four?” Hearing what the old man said, Xuan Hao could not help tilting his head in confusion. Not having expected that the old man was actually not from one of the four continents.

”Not that I know of, but it wouldn’t surprise me if there were more than the four. After all, the size of the ancient world back then was simply unimaginable. Thinking about it, the place I’m from is called the Fallen Immortal Archipelago, it was rumored that it was once a continent rivalling the size of the Ewaria Continent before it was shattered and reduced to countless smaller islands that now make up the Fallen Immortal Archipelago.

Apparently, the name of the archipelago stems from the fact that the shattering of the continent happened with the fall of a powerful immortal, but that is only rumors, so far, I haven’t seen any traces of such a powerful being. Of course, it could always be that I’m just too weak to sense anything, hehe…” Scratching his chin as he said this while giving a rather awkward laugh towards the end, the old man turned to look down at the dark miasma still pushing up against the ancient seal no more than a few meters away from where he was standing.

”…”

Seeing the old man’s awkward expression and the painful look in his eyes when mentioning his own strength, Xuan Hao understood that the old man was remembering something from his past.

Indeed, although the Domain Lord Realm might be impressive on the Ewaria Continent, there was no way it would be considered impressive in the family that the old man came from. Especially considering that the old man wasn’t young and was already half a step into the grave. Even looking at it optimistically, Xuan Hao had a feeling that the old man wouldn’t live for more than a few hundred years if he didn’t manage to break through to the Soul Ascension Realm.

Maybe that is why he was the one to come here and check up on the seals? After all, reaching the Ewaria Continent from the Fallen Immortal Archipelago is bound to take a long time and there is no way the powerful experts from his family would make the long journey without any reason. Not to mention, the endless ocean is filled with dangers…

Thinking this to himself, Xuan Hao felt a sense of pity towards the old man who had undoubtedly been through countless life and death situation to reach the Ewaria Continent.

Hm? But where in the endless ocean is this Fallen Immortal Archipelago located?

”If you don’t mind me asking, where is the Fallen Immortal Archipelago located in the endless ocean?” Suddenly realizing that he still didn’t have any idea where this archipelago was located in the endless ocean, Xuan Hao decided to ask the old man. Not just because he wanted to find out, but also to get the old man out of the state of depression that he was slowly sinking into.

”Where in the endless ocean… Eh… Sorry, but I don’t really know the exact location given that I mostly relied on an artifact given by my elders to find the Ewaria Continent, but… From what little I know; it should be located somewhere between the Ewaria Continent and the Demon Beast Continent. Although it should be closer to the Demon Beast Continent.” Thinking about the answer for a short time before answering, the old man still looked a bit uncertain. Clearly, he didn’t really have any real idea of where the actual location of the Fallen Immortal Archipelago was in the endless.

Then again, considering the sheer size of the endless sea and the fact that the old man was only someone in the Domain Lord Realm, it was a given that he didn’t know the exact location of the Fallen Immortal Archipelago. After all, from what Xuan Hao guessed, he should have journeyed across the endless ocean for dozens of years before reaching the Ewaria Continent. Knowing where he was in such a situation without an artifact guiding him would be unrealistic for someone in the Domain Lord Realm.

Even then, Xuan Hao didn’t feel the slightest bit let down by the answer given by the old man, as he managed to learn the name of one of the other three continents.

Demon Beast Continent… Just from the name alone, it was obvious that the continent was ruled by powerful demon beasts. Different from the Ewaria Continent where the ones in charge were the humans.

Although, thinking about the fact that places like the Burning Mountain Range were still controlled by demon beasts with no humans daring to try and take control of it, it was obvious that even on the Ewaria Continent, the demon beast also had a certain level of power. ”Demon Beast Continent… Senior, do you perhaps also know about the other two continents?” Knowing an opportunity when he saw one, Xuan Hao decided to try and ask about the other two continents. Hoping to gain some useful information for when he would inevitably end up going beyond the Ewaria Continent.

”The other two? Ehm… Sorry to say, I didn’t really learn a lot about them due to them being so far away from the Fallen Immortal Archipelago and the elders not really talking about them. The only real thing I know about those two continents is that one of them is home to those gods and their followers, while the other continent is a bit different. According to what one of my elders told me during my youth, unlike the other three continents that were created by parts of the ancient world that broke apart in the past, that continent is far larger than all the others combined and is the only part of the ancient world that managed to survive the calamity back then.” Shaking his head as he said this, the old man let out a regretful sigh at the little information he knew about the other two continents.

”No, no! This is more than enough!” Seeing this, Xuan Hao could not help trying to cheer up the old man.

”Really?”

”Yes! It’s more than enough for me, not to mention, I don’t plan to leave this continent any time soon!”

Indeed, Xuan Hao did feel that the information provided by the old man was enough. Even though he did want to find out more about the other three continents, he at least managed to learn something about all of them through the old man.

”That’s great! If you want to know more, you can ask one of my elders when they show up to deal with the seal… Or what is left at it…” Smiling happily after hearing what Xuan Hao said, the old man took out a small token inscribed with an intricate pattern of a one leaf flower. ”This is an identity token used by my family, you will know when my elders arrive through it and they will know you are a friend after seeing it, although… The robe your wearing should be more than enough…”

”Thank you…” Not expecting to suddenly get a token from the old man- Not only that, but one that would allow him to find out when the elders from his family appeared, Xuan Hao had no idea what to say other than thank the old man for the kindness he had shown him.

”Hehe, no need to thank me, a past ally of my family is rare to come by and you are the first I have heard about and-” Shaking his head as he said this the old man suddenly froze as he turned to look towards the entrance to the underground space.

Rumble-!

Just at that moment, a faint rumbling sound echoed out from the entrance that the old man was looking towards…
