Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

After visiting Pei Yang to see if he could help with lord of the Heavenly Dragon Temple, Xuan Hao was relieved to discover that Pei yang was more than willing to lend a hand in return for the help he had shown him by allowing him to join the Star Shattering Sect.

Although Pei Yang had not yet managed to recover his strength, he was still a skilled alchemist and had been in the Earth Immortal Realm for a long time. Allowing him to recover his strength back to a level comparable to someone who had just managed to break through to the Earth Immortal Realm. Even if he wasn’t that strong in battle considering that he was still in an injured state, he would at least be able to provide some support in case he needed it.

At the same time, Xuan Hao also tried to inquire about the Heavenly Dragon Temple through Pei Yang. Hoping that someone as experienced as him would at least have some information on the Heavenly Dragon Temple. After all, so far, the only thing he had managed to figure out about the Heavenly Dragon Temple was the fact that they weren’t on friendly terms with the Blue Sea Empire and were one of the major powers in the core region of the continent.

Luckily, Pei Yang did have some information about the Heavenly Dragon Temple and through their conversation, Xuan Hao managed to figure out that the title of lord in the Heavenly Dragon Temple was something that was rewarded to those who managed to condense five layers around their dao lotus.

Of course, this didn’t mean that the lord of the Heavenly Dragon Temple who was coming to the Star Shattering Sect had only this strength. Instead, it just meant that this was the lowest level of strength that his opponent might have!

Then again, everything wasn’t hopeless, as Pei Yang also told him that the strongest lord would at most have eight layers around his or her dao lotus. Beyond that, the other party would no longer be a lord of the Heavenly Dragon Temple and would instead be an elder figure that could be considered powerful even within the Earth Immortal Realm. Meaning that at most, he would have to face an Earth Immortal with ana Eight Layered Dao Lotus.

With this in mind, Xuan Hao felt far more confident in his chances of dealing with the other party. At the very least, he no longer worried about the possibility of the lord from the Heavenly Dragon Temple being someone in the Half Bloom Stage. Allowing him to relax a bit as he began preparing for the inevitable battle that would take place in another few weeks.

No matter how confident he was in his chances now that he had some idea about his opponent’s strength, he also understood that his own strength had only reached a level comparable to someone with a five layered dao lotus.

If he wanted to kill the other party and prevent any news of his death from reaching the Heavenly Dragon Temple, he had to prepare a trap for the lord of the Heavenly Dragon Temple in a place with as few people as possible. But for this, he would have to find a way to intercept the other party before he could reach the territory of the Star Shattering Sect…

Whoosh~!

Not wasting any time after realizing this, Xuan Hao soon rushed out of the sect without anyone noticing him leaving. Heading in the same direction, the three people from the Heavenly Dragon Temple had gone a year earlier.

Intending to first find them and try to figure out where the lord from the Heavenly Dragon Temple would come from before setting out a trap in an isolated location that he would cross over to reach the Shattered Star Peaks.

…

”I wonder how long it will take before the lord arrives…”

A few hours after Xuan Hao left the Star Shattering Sect, at the edge of the Star Shattering Sect’s territory, one of the three people from the Heavenly Dragon Temple currently present in the Sky Empire, quietly muttered this to himself as he looked into the distance.

”Don’t think too much about it, the lord should show up in another few weeks. Until then, we should keep an eye out for anything that might disrupt the lord’s plan.” Standing not too far away, another of the three people from the Heavenly Dragon Temple opened his mouth to say this after hearing what his friend said.

”True, the senior already left to keep an eye on the Blue Sea Empire and make sure that none of the border guards notices the lord’s arrival, but… Given how most of the border guards are busy looking for someone wanted by the Blue Sea Empire at the moment, according to what senior said, they shouldn’t pose any problems for the lord.

Even if some trouble ends up appearing during the next few weeks, I highly doubt it will be enough to cause us any trouble. After all, the Sky Empire is just a border empire outside the core of the continent. No matter what kind of problems occur in a place like this, they won’t be too hard to deal with given our strength.”

”Hm… I understand what you mean. Should we go check up on the outpost and ensure that the teleportation formation is working properly? Even though it will take a bit of time to reach the outpost, we can also check the path of his lord along the way and make sure there isn’t anything troublesome along the path.”

”You- You obviously just want to go back to the outpost and see if you can get something from those poor disciples left in charge of the outpost!”

”Hehe~ You caught me~ So… What do you say? It’s not like anything will happen and we still have a few weeks left before the lord shows up.”

”Hmph! Fine, let’s get going.” Whoosh~!

Whoosh~!

As the conversation between the two people from the Heavenly Dragon Temple came to an end, both of them jumped into the air before leaving in the opposite direction of the Star Shattering Sect. Unaware of the fact that someone had silently arrived not too far away from them just a short time earlier. Silently observing both of them as they flew away.

Whoosh~

Only a short time later, did the person silently follow after the two people from the Heavenly Dragon Temple, who were still completely unaware of the fact that they were being followed.

Soon, a few days flew by as the two people from the Heavenly Dragon Temple left the borders of the Sky Empire and crossed through two other empires around the same size as the Sky Empire. Only after arriving at the edge of the second empire did the two finally come to a stop as they look around themselves cautiously before one of them took out a small token that unlocked a secret passage leading down into an underground space the size of a small city.

Swish~

Wasting no time after the secret passage appeared, the two rapidly entered before the passage disappeared.

”Hm… Looks like the lord of the Heavenly Dragon Temple is going to come using the teleportation formation inside that outpost…”

Appearing a few thousand meters away from the place where the secret entrance to what he guessed was the outpost mentioned by the two people from the Heavenly Dragon Temple had appeared, Xuan Hao frowned slightly as he muttered this to himself.

Although the distance between the Star Shattering Sect and the place where the lord from the Heavenly Dragon Temple would appear from was rather long, the number of locations suitable for him to launch an ambush could be counted on a single hand. Not to mention, he had also discovered that some of the border guards from the Blue Sea Empire had started appearing inside the two different empires he had traveled through.

Even though they had only appeared close to the places where these empires bordered the territory of the Blue Sea Empire, it was still unsettling knowing that the border guards of the Blue Sea Empire might notice him if he started fighting with the lord from the Heavenly Dragon Temple.

The only positive thing was that the strength of the border guards had only reached the Soul Ascension Realm and there was not a single one among them that had reached the Earth Immortal Realm. Meaning that he should be able to fight with the lord from the Heavenly Dragon Temple without them noticing as long as they didn’t go too far into the empire, he chose to ambush the lord of the Heavenly Dragon Temple inside of.

If they really ended up noticing him, he could only hope that the matter didn’t attract the attention of the Earth Immortals of the Blue Sea Empire, who should be busy dealing with the illusory beasts running rampant in their empire.
