Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Inside the forge, Xuan Hao and Yi Min had no idea what was happening outside as both of them remained fully focused on absorbing the inheritance of Gong Cheng. After all, both of them understood that they might not have such an opportunity again in the future.

For this reason, neither of them noticed when Gong Cheng finished bestowing his inheritance after a week had passed, as they were both far too absorbed in the new information about the Dao of Blacksmithing that came along with the inheritance. Like this, two weeks passed by with Xuan Hao and Yi Min digesting the information in the inheritance.

Although it didn’t help their understanding of the Dao of Blacksmithing reach a new realm, it still helped both of them establish a clear path towards the realm of perfection in the Dao of Blacksmithing. Different from someone like Gong Cheng who had to explore on his own.

In a sense, the inheritance wouldn’t help someone reach the Perfection Realm in the Dao of Blacksmithing, but it would cut down the time required to reach the realm.

Of course, if one’s comprehension of the Dao of Blacksmithing wasn’t good enough, even if the time needed to reach the perfection realm was cut down by a lot, one would still be unable to reach the perfection realm.

For example, there was no small number of Blacksmiths, Alchemists and other experts in their own respective fields who remained stuck at the Pseudo Saint Realm even after they decided to join one of the different major powers for a chance to reach the Saint Realm…

”Hm?” Opening both of his eyes at this moment, Xuan Hao could not help looking at the place where Gong Cheng should have been standing with a surprised expression on his face. ”He’s gone? Wait- How much time passed since he left…?”

Realizing that he had actually been in a state of comprehension for an extended period of time while digesting the large amount of information in the inheritance, Xuan Hao quickly pulled up the emergency quest to see if he had failed it.

Part of him already realized that the week mentioned by Gong Cheng was not how long it would take for them to digest the inheritance and reach the Pseudo Saint Realm, but instead how long it would take him to bestow the inheritance on them.

[Emergency Quest: Don’t let the disciple surpass the master! (Complete)] [Description: During your absence from the sect, one of your disciples did the impossible and surpassed the master before he grew up. No matter what, it’s unacceptable for the master to be inferior to the disciple and incapable of providing guidance. Ensure that you are capable of providing guidance to your disciple. Don’t let him lose faith in his master and begin to doubt your strength!] [Objective: Reach the Pseudo Saint Realm in Blacksmithing] [Timer: 1 week] [Penalty: Cultivation base will be sealed for 5 years] ”Haaa….”

Seeing that he had indeed completed the emergency quest and there was still a week left, Xuan Hao could not help breathing out a sigh of relief.

If he had ended up failing the quest and had his cultivation base sealed while in the process of digesting the inheritance, he really had no idea how he would react…

Luckily my soul is stronger than an ordinary Earth Immortal, making it far easier and faster to absorb information.

Shaking his head as he thought about this while looking towards Yi Min who was still fully absorbed in digesting the information contained in the inheritance, Xuan Hao decided to close his eyes and sort out the new information while waiting for Yi Min to finish digesting the inheritance.

Even if it would at least take her a few months considering the difference in strength between them, Xuan Hao was not worried about anything happening to the Star Shattering Sect. After all, he had already made sure that there wouldn’t be any threat from the Frozen Wasteland in his absence, while the threat of the Earth Immortal from the Heavenly Dragon Temple should still be a few years away from showing up…

As time continued to pass with Xuan Hao going through the information in the inheritance while Yi Min was still in the process of absorbing the inheritance, Xuan Hao discovered that outside of just containing a path for guiding them to reach the Saint Realm, the inheritance also contained a lot of blueprints of different artifacts that Gong Cheng should have created in the past.

Even if the requirement to forge some of these artifacts were far beyond what he could create with his current comprehension of the Dao of Blacksmithing, there was also a large number of blueprints that was within his current realm… And more important than this, there was an even larger number of blueprints suitable for those below the Grandmaster Relam.

Although these blueprints wouldn’t be useful when it came to increasing his own understanding of the Dao of Blacksmithing in the future, it would undoubtedly be useful to Bai Ning and the rest of the blacksmiths in the sect- Maybe it would even help some of the older blacksmiths who had remained stuck at the Expert Realm or Artisan Realm progress!

Thinking this to himself, Xuan Hao decided to focus his attention on writing down the different lower-level blueprints instead of trying to comprehend some of the more difficult to understand information contained in the inheritance…

Like this, a month slowly passed. Making it the fourth month since he had left the sect in search of an opportunity to reach the Pseudo Saint Realm in Blacksmithing.

Rustle~

It was at this exact moment that Yi Min slowly began showing signs of movement before her eyes slowly opened after close to two months.

”Looks like you finally finished absorbing the inheritance.”

”Huh?” Hearing Xuan Hao suddenly call out to her, Yi Min tilted her head in confusion before turning towards him and nodding her head in response. Clearly not fully recovered from having absorbed the inheritance of Gong Cheng.

After all, compared to Xuan Hao who had reached the Late Stage of the Dao Domain Lord Realm and had a soul far stronger than a normal Earth Immortal, Yi Min was still in the Soul Ascension Realm and had a far weaker soul than him.

Even though she could also accommodate the inheritance of a Saint Realm Expert, her soul had been completely stuffed with information and she needed some time to sort it out, thus resulting in her slow reaction speed and the somewhat dumb look that was plastered all over her face as she looked at him.

If not for the fact that he had used his divine sense to check the condition of her soul and confirmed that there hadn’t been any damage to her soul, Xuan Hao might have thought that her soul had suffered some damage after seeing the way she acted…

”Ah!”

As a few minutes passed like this, with Yi Min mindlessly staring at him as her soul recovered from the large influx of information, Yi Min suddenly let out a small scream as she looked away with an embarrassed look on her face.

”Finally, back to normal I see, I guess the inheritance of a Saint Realm Expert is a bit hard to absorb for anyone below the Earth Immortal Realm.” Chuckling slightly to himself as he said this after seeing the embarrassed reaction of Yi Min, Xuan Hao was about to continue teasing Yi Min when he noticed her staring directly at him with a strange glint in her eyes.

For some reason, he had a feeling that it would be best for him to not tease her anymore…

”Where did senior go?” Seeing that Xuan Hao decided to remain quiet, a small triumphant smile made its way to Yi Min’s lips as she asked about Gong Cheng. Not intending to respond to what Xuan Hao said.

”If I’m not wrong, Gong Cheng should have finished the process of bestowing the inheritance a week after he started and left us alone to absorb it afterwards. From what I know, it’s been around two months since then.”

”I see… Senior should be in the process of understanding his new strength somewhere inside the Blue Shore Kingdom.” Muttering this to herself with a thoughtful expression on her face after hearing what Xuan Hao said, Yi Min soon turned to look up at him. ”So… Are we going to return to the Star Shattering Sect or wait for senior to understand and consolidate his new strength? Given how much his strength improved and the fact that he would likely also want to try out his new power as a Saint Realm Blacksmith, I doubt he will come out for another year or two.”

”This…”

Not knowing what to say after hearing what Yi Min said, Xuan Hao suddenly realized that his plan of recruiting Gong Cheng to join the Star Shattering Sect would have to wait.

Of course, there was also the fact that Gong Cheng was now far stronger than before. Meaning that it would be harder to recruit him into the Star Shattering Sect in the short term…
