Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

”Ehm… What I mean is, to reach the Pseudo Saint Realm, one requires the inheritance of a Saint Realm Expert. After receiving the inheritance of a Saint Realm Expert, one will officially be considered to have reached the Pseudo Realm.

In essence, the Pseudo Saint Realm isn’t a real realm so to speak, but instead a transitional realm that should have been made to make the process of reaching the Saint Realm easier for future generations. After all, the difference between someone in the Grandmaster Realm and the Saint Realm is like the difference between heaven and earth. Even someone like me, who spent the good part of sixty thousand years fully dedicated to the Dao of Blacksmithing barely managed to reach the Saint Realm due to a stroke of good luck.

If I’m not wrong, the reason why those major powers are so against spreading this information is likely due to the fact that they want to hold a monopoly over Saint Realm Experts. After all, outside of being taught by a Saint Realm Expert directly, one can also obtain the inheritance of a Saint Realm Expert by finding the resting place of past Saint Realm Experts. Most of which happen to be located inside these major powers.

Thinking about it, they might also be fearful that the news of the method to reach the Pseudo Saint Realm spreading might cause all of those stuck in the Grandmaster Realm to rush into their territory and start causing chaos…” Shaking his head as he finished explaining the Pseudo Saint Realm and the likely reason why those major powers decided to keep the way to reach the realm hidden, Gong Cheng turned to look towards Xuan Hao and Yi Min standing opposite of him. Patiently waiting for both of them to take in what he had just said.

”Can you really help us reach the Pseudo Realm in such a short time…?” Absorbing the new information first, Xuan Hao could not help cautiously asking this with a hint of anticipation in his eyes.

If Gong Cheng could really help them reach the Pseudo Saint Realm in such a short time, he would be able to complete the emergency and prevent the worst-case scenario of having to search for a way to reach the Pseudo Saint Realm in under a month on his own, something he wanted to avoid at all costs if possible. Especially after learning that the only way to reach the Pseudo Saint Realm was to find the inheritance of a past Saint Realm Expert or have a living Saint Realm Expert’s help.

After all, the place where most Saint Realm Experts could be found would be in the core region of the continent… And Xuan Hao doubted he had enough time to reach the core region of the continent and find the inheritance of a Saint Realm Expert with the little time he had left.

”Haha, indeed!” Smiling with a somewhat proud expression on his face as he said this, Gong Cheng reassured Xuan Hao that he could, causing Xuan Hao to breathe a sigh of relief.

”Senior! Let’s get started! I want to reach the Pseudo Saint Realm!” Before the two had a chance to continue their conversation, Yi Min finally recovered from the shock of learning about the Pseudo Saint Realm, as she jumped up and said this with stars in her eyes. Clearly excited about the fact that she could reach the Pseudo Saint Realm and have a clear path towards the Saint Realm in the future.

”Sure, let’s start immediately. After this I still need to enter secluded cultivation for a while to comprehend and understand my new strength.” Nodding his head with a smile in response to Yi Min, Gong Cheng didn’t waste any time as he began to impart his knowledge on the Saint Realm to the two of them. Officially beginning the process of imparting his inheritance to the two of them.

Soon enough, both Xuan Hao and Yi Min went quiet as they silently listened to Gong Cheng, while the sky outside began changing with the passage of time.

…

As Gong Cheng managed to breakthrough to the Saint Realm, the three Earth Immortal Realm Experts who had just met up to discuss the appearance of Xuan Hao and Yi Min a month earlier, gathered at a small hill not too far away from the forge with shocked expressions plastered all over their faces, a hint of fear barely visible.

”What on earth was that just now!? That aura was in no way inferior to those generals and powerful figures from the major kingdoms!”

”I don’t know… Perhaps it was the Earth Immortal Realm Expert who came just a month ago. Maybe he was hiding his strength back then and happened to reveal it just now?”

Wasting no time, two of the Earth Immortals began to speculate and guess about what had happened just now, while the third began visibly frowning while looking towards the forge where the terrifying aura had erupted from just a second earlier.

”Big brother, what do you think?”

”Yeah, you are the most sensitive to these kinds of things, did the aura just now belong to the Earth Immortal Realm Expert who appeared a month ago?”

Not able to come up with a proper conclusion of where the powerful aura had come from, the two quickly turned towards the silent Earth Immortal Realm Expert who was still looking towards the forge with an increasingly troubled expression on his face.

”This… I don’t think the aura just now belonged to the Earth Immortal from a month ago. Instead, I think it should be Gong Cheng. Although I have no idea how that old man managed to become so strong all of a sudden, it should be him.” Saying this with a bit of hesitation, the Earth Immortal referred to as big brother could not help smiling a bit wryly as he kept his attention focused on the forge. Almost looking like he was about to rush inside the forge to confirm whether or not Gong Cheng was the one who had broken through.

Of course, he kept himself from doing this, as he understood how disrespectful it would be to forcibly rush inside Gong Cheng’s forge when he could be in the process of consolidating his foundation after the rapid improvement in strength. Especially considering that doing so might result in Gong Cheng losing concentration at a critical moment and resulting in a qi deviation.

”Gong Cheng is the one behind that terrifying aura just now!? Well… That is better than it belonging to that unknown Earth Immortal Realm Expert…”

”Indeed, it’s good if that’s the case. At least in the future, we will be able to enjoy the protection of a powerful Earth Immortal in the Half Bloom Stage. At that point in time, the major kingdoms won’t be able to do anything to us unless they sent one of their Celestial Immortals… And given how far away the Blue Shore Kingdom is, I doubt any of their Celestial Immortals would be willing to travel all the way out here.”

”Don’t forget, there is also the Frozen Wasteland separating us from those major powers. Even if the powerful demonic cultivators lurking in there ignore someone like us passing through, the same won’t be the case if those Celestial Immortals try to pass through the Frozen Wasteland. In the future, we should be safe even if the major powers want to deal with us!”

As the three Earth Immortals all collectively let out a sigh of relief after concluding that the terrifying aura just now had come from Gong Cheng, they settled down on the small hill and began waiting for Gong Cheng to emerge from the forge.

Considering that all of them were familiar with just how long it normally took to consolidate one’s cultivation base after such a major breakthrough in strength, they didn’t find it odd that Gong Cheng didn’t emerge after a few days, and everything remained peaceful on the outside.

Well… Not everything was peaceful during these few days, as a large number of smaller kingdoms located outside the Blue Shore Kingdom had begun to grow restless following the terrifying aura and loud rumbling from Gong Cheng’s breakthrough to the Saint Realm.

As a result of this, the different peak experts of these kingdoms ended up concluding that an immortal treasure had appeared, causing almost all of the Core Formation Realm Experts and Foundation Establishment Realm Experts to rush towards the Blue Shore Kingdom. Momentarily resulting in the borders of the Blue Shore Kingdom being filled with all sorts of people looking for the immortal treasure.

Of course, with there being Nascent Soul Realm Experts and above in the Blue Shore Kingdom, these experts from the smaller kingdoms couldn’t do much, but the initial lack of people guarding the borders of the Blue Shore Kingdom still ended up resulting in some of the people getting inside. Soon causing rumors of the rich spiritual qi inside the Blue Shore Kingdom to spread across the barren edge of the continent…
