Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Given the sheer difference between him and the person that created the ancient seal, even watching it operate at full power for a few short minutes would bring immense benefits to his understanding of the Dao of Formations and the Dao of Light. Especially considering that he was lucky enough to watch the process of the seal suppressing the being now locked away in the small sphere of light below the ruined hall.

Although comprehending the Dao of Formations or the Dao of Light to the Elementary Realm within the short time that the seal was operating at its full power, it still allowed him to have a smoother path when it came to comprehending these two Daos in the future.

As an example, he managed to breakthrough the barrier separating the Artisan Realm and the Master Realm. Officially becoming a Master Realm Formation Master in the short span of a few minutes.

Rumble~!

Of course, the single drop of divine blood couldn’t keep the being suppressed with the seal forever, as it was soon exhausted. Resulting in the small light sphere rapidly being pushed back up through the hole in the middle of the ruined hall connecting the hall and the small room that the seal should have been confined to originally.

”Damnit! The divine blood only managed to hold on for a little over four minutes! According to the elders, it should have been able to suppress it for at least five!” At the same time Xuan Hao was focused on the seal that had begun to expand outwards as the dark miasma pushed back against the once again weakened seal, the old man in the process of repairing in the seal cursed out loudly as he similarly noticed the seal weakening.

Roooar-!

Knowing that the divine blood had disappeared, the being hidden in the dark miasma also reemerged before roaring angrily towards the old man who had thrown the divine blood towards it. No longer showing any signs of its earlier fear when it had first seen the old man take out the divine blood.

BANG!

Only a minute later, the dark miasma returned back to its original position as the old man was forced to retreat to avoid giving the being in the seal a chance to take advantage of him working on the seal to escape.

In the end, even though the seal hadn’t been repaired fully in the short time that the old man could work on it, it had at least returned to a state similar to the seal located beneath the ruins of the Raging Flame Sect. Not good, but at least it wouldn’t break in a year or two without outside interference.

”Looks like I won’t be able to fix all of the damage in such a short period of time. If only the divine blood had managed to hold on for a few more minutes I would have been able to secure this seal for the next hundred years. More than enough time for me to go back and get the help of an elder…” Muttering this to himself as he looked at the dark miasma pushing against the seal, the old man could not help shaking his head regretfully as he picked up some of the still intact artifacts that had originally been prepared for repairing the seal.

”Hm… I already checked on three of the seals so far. Maybe I should also check on the one in the Frozen Wasteland, but… That seal is far stronger than the rest and is also using a spatial formation to constantly switch positions. Even if I find it, the Frozen Wasteland is home to several demonic cultivators in the Demon King Realm. If I get caught by any of them, I will be dead before I can use any of my artifacts to escape!

In the end, it should be best to just head back for now and see if I can get one of the elders to come and repair the seals before they break…” As the old man continued talking to himself after returning all of the unused artifacts to his interspatial ring, Xuan Hao watched in amazement as the old man took out a small disc shaped artifact.

Even though the artifact had not been activated yet, the spatial fluctuations coming from it made it rather clear that it was an artifact crafted by someone whose comprehension of the Dao of Space had far exceeded his own.

Wait! Is this perhaps a teleportation artifact that allows someone who didn’t comprehend the Dao of Space to teleport!? If that is the case- ”Ah!”

Whoosh-!

Suddenly realizing that the old man was about to use what he presumed to be some kind of teleportation artifact to leave the place, Xuan Hao didn’t think twice as he rushed in front of the old man before he had a chance to run away.

He had far too many questions to ask this old man, there was no way he would just allow him to run away before answering any of his doubts! Like what was the Breaking- something realm he mentioned? What was the divine blood? What about the Four Ancient Seals? What kind of being was sealed inside of them!?

”Huh?!”

Seeing someone suddenly appearing in front of him when he was about to leave, the old man momentarily froze on the spot without knowing what to do. Knowing very well that someone capable of appearing directly in front of him was far stronger than him.

”Sorry for the surprise, I don’t mean any harm.” Knowing that his sudden appearance would be quite a shock, Xuan Hao did his best to defuse the situation before the old man ended up doing something stupid.

”You- Who are you!? What do you want?” Calming down a bit after realizing Xuan Hao didn’t seem intent on attacking him, the old man could not help narrowing his eyes as he said this while closely inspecting Xuan Hao.

”Hm? This robe… Mirage Sect?! Are you someone from the Mirage Sect!? How!? Didn’t the Mirage Sect get- Ah… never mind that, what is someone from the Mirage Sect doing here? Didn’t everyone except the few religious branches evacuate this continent?” Recognizing the robe that he was wearing after a short look, the cautious expression on the old man’s face changed into one of shock as he asked this.

”I’m not from the Mirage Sect, I got this robe from a senior before he passed away inside a mystic realm under the Mirage Sect. Although, all that is left in that place now is ruins…” Knowing very well that it would be hard for him to fool the old man and pose as someone from the Mirage Sect to try and get the answers he wanted from the old man, Xuan Hao decided to answer truthfully that he wasn’t someone from the Mirage Sect.

”Not from the Mirage Sect? I see… For you to have come here should be because you learnt about the Ancient Dao Seals from that senior and came to take a look…” Nodding his head with a look of understanding after hearing that Xuan Hao wasn’t from the Mirage Sect, the old man seemed to come to his own conclusion on how he had managed to find his way to the seal. Not suspecting that he had been silently following after him for the past few days.

After all, he had several different artifacts on him that would spot anyone the moment they got within a certain range of him. Giving him a heads up in case there was someone secretly following him so he could ensure that the way inside the seal didn’t end up leaking out.

Of course, the artifact that had been doing this happened to be malfunctioning at the moment due to it being damaged before he went to the seal located beneath the ruins of the Raging Flame Sect.

Even if he knew about this, he would not suspect that Xuan Hao had been secretly following after him. The main reason for this being that he understood what it meant for Xuan Hao to be wearing a robe from the Mirage Sect.

Such a robe, even if he had stolen it from some ruins of the Mirage Sect, would not be wearable without the prior permission of the past owner. If worn without this special permission, the robe would trigger several different formations inside the robe and cause it to self-destruct with enough power to kill someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm!

Of course, there was no way Xuan Hao had any idea about this, as he would have thought twice about wearing the robe of the elder from the Mirage Sect if he knew about the fact that it had an inbuilt function to blow up with more than enough power to instantaneously kill him!

Then again, the protection it provided when compared to other robes was far better than anything the current Star Shattering Sect could create- No, maybe better than anything that could be created at the current Ewaria Continent!
