Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Back in the Star Shattering Sect, everyone was still occupied with the grand elder of the half spirit race breaking through to the Domain Lord Realm. Even causing the normal scheduled lectures taking places to halt for the day as the different Nascent Soul Realm elders gathered together to watch the breakthrough in hopes of getting a better understanding of the process of breaking through to the Domain Lord Realm. All of them wanting to increase their own chances of reaching the Domain Lord Realm in the future.

After all, even though no one had failed to break through to the Domin Lord Realm in the Star Shattering Sect yet. All of these elders understood that there was a very real danger of failing to breakthrough. Especially so after learning more about the Sky Empire over the past few years and how different people in the Sky Empire had failed during their breakthrough to the Domain Lord Realm.

Even though they did not know a lot about how people failed in their breakthrough to the Domain Lord Realm, they understood one thing and that was the fact that most of the people failing to reach the Domain Lord Realm was due to a lack of knowledge regarding the process of breaking through to the Domain Lord Realm.

For this reason, these elders were adamant to use any opportunity they got to increase their knowledge of the breakthrough from the Nascent Soul Realm to the Domain Lord Realm.

In a sense, this attitude also spoke to the general trend in the Star Shattering Sect, as all of these elders believed that they would reach the Peak of the Nascent Soul Realm in the future and have a chance to reach the Domain Lord Realm themselves.

It was also due to this and the fact that these elders just wanted to increase their own chances of surviving a future breakthrough that Elder Song decided to ignore the fact that most of these elders had abandoned their lectures and other responsibilities to come and observe the grand elder of the half spirit race breaking through to the Domain Lord Realm.

Of course, he didn’t plan to ignore it forever… And if these elders intended to neglect their duties to just loiter around after the matter was over, he wouldn’t mind sending them off to assist in the future expansion projects that he had in mind…

Rumble~!

It was at this moment, when everyone had their attention focused on the grand elder of the half spirit race, that a loud rumbling sound suddenly echoed out from the direction of the Ninth Star Peak followed by a terrifying aura sweeping over them.

”What is happening!? Is someone else breaking through to the Domain Lord Realm on the Ninth Star Peak!?”

”Maybe it’s that Elder Shen? If I’m not wrong, I also saw her leaving earlier in the direction of the Ninth Star Peak.”

”Indeed, from what I know, that Elder Shen should also be quite close to the Domain Lord Realm and might really have managed to gain some insight just now and used the opportunity to break through to the Domain Lord Realm…”

Given what they had just experienced, none of the elders panicked. Instead, they began guessing that someone else had managed to break through to the Domain Lord Realm. The most discussed individual being Shen Xuefeng who had just recently managed to reach the Peak of the Nascent Soul Realm.

”This is… Someone is trying to force their way into the sect!?”

”Indeed, the strength of the other party should be above the Domain Lord Realm…”

”Where did someone like this come from all of a sudden…?”

However, different from the elders in the Nascent Soul Realm, Feng Chen, Shu Yao, Zu Fei, and the rest of the people in the Domain Lord Realm or above in the Star Shattering Sect instantly realized that the new aura that appeared in the direction of the Ninth Star Peak didn’t belong to someone who was in the process of breaking through to the Domain Lord Realm.

Instead, it was rather obvious to them that the terrifying aura emerged following someone above the Domain Lord Realm violently clashing with the formation protecting the Shattered Star Peaks!

…

”Huh? Who?”

Being forcefully awoken from his cultivation session by a certain someone smashing headfirst into the chaotic qi formation, Xuan Hao could not help frowning as his divine sense swept out and soon engulfed the person responsible for triggering the chaotic qi formation.

Although he couldn’t recognize the person and had no idea why he had come to attack the Star Shattering Sect, the same could not be said for the two people standing a bit further away from him with nervous expressions on their faces after seeing that the chaotic qi formation remained intact.

”Those two… They are the people from the Heavenly Dragon Temple. Meaning that… The person attacking the formation should also be from the Heavenly Dragon Temple…” Muttering this to himself as his attention was focused on the unknow person at the Peak of the Soul Ascension Realm that was attacking the chaotic qi formation, Xuan Hao tried his best to figure out why someone from the Heavenly Dragon Temple would suddenly appear to attack the Star Shattering Sect all of a sudden.

After all, he had made sure to not kill the two people from the Heavenly Dragon Temple who were keeping an eye on the Shattered Star Peaks to prevent them from the master behind them from showing up before he had a chance to gain the strength needed to face someone in the Earth Immortal Realm.

From the current strength displayed by the Star Shattering Sect, there should be no reason for them to call over a senior of theirs to attack the Star Shattering Sect-

”Ah… Is it the formation? Now that I think about it, they did try to enter quite a few times over the years…”

Realizing that the formation might be the reason for the sudden arrival of this senior from the Heavenly Dragon Temple, Xuan Hao could not help smiling a bit wryly to himself.

Indeed, he had made sure not to raise any suspicion on the side of the Heavenly Dragon Temple, but he ended up forgetting about the fact that the chaotic qi formation was far beyond what a sect like the Star Shattering Sect should be able to create.

Given that the Star Shattering Sect only recently gained a Soul Ascension Realm Expert in the eyes of the outside world, it was understandable that the two people from the Heavenly Dragon Temple would grow suspicious about them posing a formation capable of easily dealing with them.

In the end, this suspicious should be what caused the current situation of them pulling over one of their seniors…

Understanding this, Xuan Hao was a little lost on what to do next.

If he killed the three, the master behind them would inevitably grow cautious with the death of a Peak Soul Ascension Realm Expert and might draw in the rest of the Heavenly Dragon Temple as a result. Not something Xuan Hao could deal with at the moment, as the Heavenly Dragon Temple was a power comparable to the Blue Sea Empire with Celestial Immortals present.

Ignoring the other party was not an option either, as it might also result in their master becoming cautious about the true strength of the Star Shattering Sect. In the worst case also resulting in him asking for assistance from one of his seniors…

No matter what he did, Xuan Hao felt like he would end up with a far more troublesome situation in the near future.

”Hm… Maybe I can try to weaken the formation a bit and make it seem like its weaker than it actually is?”

Out of idea on how to deceive the three people currently hovering in the air outside the Ninth Star Peak, Xuan Hao decided to try and weaken the chaotic qi formation a bit to make it seem like it was about to break. Hoping that this would satiate the curiosity of the three and make them leave without him having to kill them and bring more trouble to his future self.

…

BOOOM-!

”Haha! Looks like this formation is finally showing signs of weakening!”

”Indeed! Senior is amazing!”

”Yeah, I wish I was as strong as senior!”

At the same time Xuan Hao began weakening the chaotic qi formation to make it seem like it was about to break, the three people from the Heavenly Dragon Temple joyfully exclaimed as they thought the formation had indeed begun to weaken.

Whoosh~!

Continuing to attack for a few more minutes until the chaotic qi formation looked like it was just about to break, the senior from the Heavenly Dragon Temple suddenly stopped and retracted his attacks.

”This should be enough. Although the formation is far more powerful than an ordinary formation in the Soul Ascension Realm, it’s still within the boundaries of the Soul Ascension Realm. Nothing for the lord to worry about. On the other hand, we might as well let it continue to stay in place and prevent raising any unnecessary suspicion by destroying it.”

”Indeed, senior is wise!”

”Yes, like this, they will just think something went wrong with the formation and that’s it. After all, there is no way for them to have noticed us in such a short period of time with senior helping us stay hidden!”

As the group of three finished their test of the chaotic qi formation and their assessment of the situation, they didn’t bother continuing to stay around the Star Shattering Sect, as they left just as fast as they had appeared. Not thinking that everything they said and did was inside the area covered by Xuan Hao’s divine sense.
