Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 155, The First Place is Actually a Dragon Egg?!

Translator: Silavin

“A second Dragon!?” The middle-aged beauty caught the meaning in the Senior Sister’s words. Her face showed even more disbelief as she looked at Lu Fan, seeming to understand something. “Are you the Dragon Tamer from Jianghai City?”

Lu Fan nodded and acknowledged. “Yes, it’s me. I didn’t expect you to have heard of me?”

“Of course I’ve heard of you!” The middle-aged beauty looked at Lu Fan again, her eyes no longer holding the previous look of seeing a ‘Little Brother’. It was replaced by shock and a kind of awe. “You have some connection with my Uncle. Your matter has already spread in certain circles in Dragon Capital, so it’s only natural I’ve heard of some things.”

The ‘Uncle’ she mentioned was Lord Northern Marquis, Tu Jing.

The middle-aged beauty continued in an incredulous tone. “I really did not expect you to be that Dragon Tamer. And from what Xian’er had just said, this Dragon Egg isn’t from your original Dragon, right? Does that mean you have two Giant Dragons in total!?”

Since the other party already knew about him, Lu Fan did not need to hide anything. He nodded and admitted. “This is indeed the Dragon Egg of another Dragon, not the same as my current Pet Dragon.”

“You really have two Dragons…” Not just the middle-aged beauty, even the Beautiful Senior Sister was dumbfounded.

They stared at him as if he was a being that defied the heavens!

After all, having one Pet Dragon had already firmly made him the number one Player among the younger generation. And now, he has obtained another Dragon Egg. What would become of him in the future!?

Letting him participate in the National Trial was truly the correct choice!

Lu Fan did not want the two ladies to discuss too much about how many Dragons he had. So, he directly asked. “Madam, you said earlier that you could appraise anything. Through this Item Panel, what kind of price do you think my Dragon Egg is worth?”

Hearing this, the middle-aged beauty immediately made a bitter chuckle. Originally, she had been very confident in her own experience. But now, it was clear she was just a frog in a well. Even though she had seen Mythical Grade Items before, she had never seen a Dragon Egg!

This was, after all, a top-tier Mythical Grade Dragon Egg!

The middle-aged beauty had to admit that this Dragon Egg was absolutely beyond her realm of knowledge. She dared not to pretend to understand in front of Lu Fan and her Sister-in-law. So, she honestly said. “I apologise, young man. I have to take back what I said earlier. You’re right. I really can’t appraise this Item Panel. Throughout history, there has never been a precedent for trading something as amazing and as rare as an actual Pure Blood Dragon Egg. And it’s even a Mythical Grade Dragon Egg…”

Saying this, a blush flew across the middle-aged beauty’s beautiful and well-defined face. She felt that her previous boastful words had now turned into a slap, smacking across her face with a loud smack.

However, Lu Fan did not think much of it. He already knew she would be unable to appraise the Dragon Egg. This was completely within his expectations. After all, in this world, Dragons were mythical beings akin to deities. It was perfectly normal no one had seen or traded them before.

Before the blush on the middle-aged beauty’s face had time to fade, she hurriedly continued. “But, our auction house would do anything to acquire the Item Panel of this Dragon Egg. With it, our Prosperous Heaven Auction House’s Treasure Catalogue will definitely be able to firmly suppress the other three major auction houses! At that time, many people will come here, just to admire this Item Panel. So, young man, you must really sell us this Item Panel. As for the conditions…”

The middle-aged beauty gritted her teeth and resolutely declared. “In the future, you can come to our auction house once a month. Whatever item you like, our auction house will help you bid for it. The cost of your bid will all be fully covered by our auction house. What do you think?”

This condition made Lu Fan’s eyes light up. [That means, a single Item Panel, of a consumable item no less, would be exchanged for the rights to come to the auction house every month and take away any item I wanted!? This is Dragon Capital’s Prosperous Heaven Auction House! It is one of the four major auction houses in Dragon Capital! The number of treasures flowing through here every month is not small! If I could really take away one item each month, this would be an absolute steal!]

[A Dragon Egg is priceless, especially a Dragon Egg of the Starry Sky Dragon King. Its value could be said to be comparable to that of a country because a fully grown Giant Dragon could easily destroy a country. Even if calculated according to what the Prosperous Heaven Auction House said earlier, 3% of the appraised value as compensation for the Item Panel, the compensation they are offering far exceeds that. If I’m not wrong, they are offering more than the entire worth of their auction house!]

However, from the middle-aged beauty’s point of view, even if they gave the entire auction house to Lu Fan, it might not be enough to pay for 3% of the value of this Dragon Egg. But her desire to get this Item Panel could not be satisfied by just paying money. Letting Lu Fan choose any auction item every month was a helpless solution she came up with.

She really wanted this Item Panel to serve as the new face for their Prosperous Heaven Auction House. [With this Item Panel, our Prosperous Heaven Auction House would become famous across the entire country! No, the entire world!]

Seeing the middle-aged beauty’s eager gaze, Lu Fan had no reason to refuse her offer. After all, who would refuse such a good deal in exchange for an Item Panel?

So, Lu Fan smiled and said: “Alright, Lord Tu has helped me before. Since you’re his Niece-in-law and really want this Item Panel, I can sell this Item Panel to you.”

“Really? That’s wonderful!” The middle-aged beauty was almost crying with joy, as if Lu Fan had agreed to give them a Platinum Grade Item every month.

She took the Item Panel with slightly trembling hands, then hurriedly made a phone call. She had asked someone to come and seal this Item Panel on the top floor, and publish it on their Prosperous Heaven Auction House’s Treasure Catalogue as soon as possible.

At the same time, she also had someone come draft a contract, which was signed and handed to Lu Fan along with a VIP Card.

The content of the contract was naturally a declaration that from today onwards, Lu Fan could choose any auction item from the Prosperous Heaven Auction House every month. The auction house would fully cover his bid and give the item to Lu Fan after the auction.

As for the VIP Card, Lu Fan found it familiar. It was identical to the one the Senior Sister had when entering the auction house.

According to the middle-aged beauty, this was their auction house’s top membership card. Holding this card not only exempted all transaction fees, but also allowed one to enjoy the auction house’s highest level of treatment – such as the reserved VIP Boxes.

In short, being able to hold this card showcased unparalleled status in Dragon Capital.

The middle-aged beauty added Lu Fan’s contact information into her phone and taught Lu Fan how to check the Prosperous Heaven Auction House’s auction items online.

Every day, the Prosperous Heaven Auction House would update the items to be auctioned the next day online. If Lu Fan wanted anything, he could contact her at any time. She would instruct her staff members to participate in the auction in place of him, and then send the item to him after they won the bid.

After sharing their contact information, Lu Fan learned that the middle-aged beauty’s name was Du Yaqiu.

Although Lu Fan was not familiar with this name, according to the Senior Sister, Du Yaqiu was well-known to everyone in the auction industry.

After everything was done, and the transaction had been concluded, Lu Fan thought for a moment and directly used this month’s quota on the No Level Requirement Enchantment Scroll he had won today.

Du Yaqiu immediately understood and had someone come over to refund the money the Senior Sister had paid.

This made the Senior Sister helpless. She complained how the money was returned too quickly, and she did not even have the chance to ask Lu Fan for interest.

Even if Lu Fan wanted to choose more desirable items from the auction house, he could only wait until a month later. Since he had already obtained the Enchantment Scroll, he had been longing for, he no longer had much interest in the auction house.

By this time, it was getting late. The Senior Sister lazily stretched, her face showing signs of fatigue. So, she told Du Yaqiu that she and Lu Fan would bid their farewells.

Du Yaqiu immediately stood up to see them off, going downstairs with the two of them.

Taking the elevator to the first floor, just as the three were about to pass through the first floor, on the screen suspended above the hall, it displayed the Prosperous Heaven Auction House’s Treasure Catalogue. Suddenly, some changes were being shown.

Heaven Incinerator, which was originally ranked first in the Treasure Catalogue, was pushed down in rank. Following this, all Item Panels were demoted, and the last ranked Item Panel was directly removed.

This change immediately attracted the attention of many people on the first floor. Those in the know understood that this meant that the Prosperous Heaven Auction House’s Treasure Catalogue ranking had been updated. That soon, a new Item Panel would appear in the catalogue, allowing those present to feast their eyes upon.

People were very interested in the new additions to the Treasure Catalogue. Naturally, they paid extra attention when they saw the catalogue being updated.

“Wow, all items in the catalogue have been demoted by one rank. The auction house must have come across something amazing for a new Item Panel to take first place!”

“I remember, since Heaven Incinerator was included, it has always been ranked first in their Treasure Catalogue. It hasn’t been challenged for two or three years, right?”

“Yeah. Well, it’s an Epic Grade staff. Although its Attribute distribution is a bit strange, they still add in a really high amount. Its hidden Additional Trait must be extremely powerful. It makes sense how Heaven Incinerator had firmly sat in first place for so long. But now, I wonder what kind of Item Panel they have acquired to push down Heaven Incinerator.”

“It’s probably also an Item Panel for an Epic Grade Item. We’re really lucky today. We are the first ones to get to see the Item Panel of another powerful Epic Grade Item.”

“Ah, if only all the items in this Treasure Catalogue are mine, it feels like watching TV. There are so many beautiful women on it, but none of them are mine…”

“Come on, stop dreaming. It’s good enough that you get to see them. You want to touch them too?”

“Shh, stop talking, the Item Panel that just topped the first place is about to be displayed! Let’s quickly see what could possibly push down Heaven Incinerator to second place.”

“Let me see… I… What the!? Is that a! A! F***ing Dragon Egg!? The first place in the Treasure Catalogue is actually a Mythical Grade Dragon Egg!?”

Instantly, the entire auction house erupted!
