Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 329: Chapter 328 Ghost Escape Technique

Ye Haochuan’s judgment that this Taoist was not a good man certainly came from the memories of the Holy Hand.

In this world, there’s a sect whose disciples specialize in absorbing people’s essence Qi to harm others for their own benefit, thereby increasing their own cultivation.

This sect is the Netherworld Sect, which is notorious for its cruel and insidious practices and is shunned by society.

Especially within the Martial Arts Path Realm, whether it’s the Ancient Martial Arts Sect, Phantom Sound Sect, Institute of Extensive Learning, Church of Light from the Eastern and Western orthodox factions, or Hellfire, Yin Yang Sect, Happy Sect, and the Dark Church from the Eastern and Western heretical factions, they all consider it a formidable enemy.

To a follower of the Netherworld Sect, it does not matter whether their enemy is from the orthodox or heretical paths; once they have defeated their opponent, they will use all sorts of methods to drain their essence Qi, and they will not rest until they have completely exhausted it.

As for the Liu Weiguo couple, though they were middle-aged, they should not have looked so gaunt and haggard, as if they had been taking drugs. If Ye Haochuan had arrived any later, they probably wouldn’t have lived much longer.

However, what puzzled him was that judging by the conduct of the Netherworld Sect disciples, Liu Weiguo and his wife’s essence Qi should have been drained long ago. How could they still be alive at this point?

”The cultivation of this disciple of the Netherworld Sect must not be very high; otherwise, he wouldn’t have chosen ordinary people to absorb their essence Qi.”

After some thought, Ye Haochuan felt he no longer needed to wait and watch, and he stood up from his hiding place, heading towards the villa.

At this very moment, the Netherworld Sect disciple, disguised as a Taoist, was holding a Peach Wood Sword and chanting under his breath, blissfully unaware that Ye Haochuan, a formidable enemy, had already arrived.

By the time he sensed something was amiss, Ye Haochuan was already not far from his side.

”Who is there?” the Taoist exclaimed in surprise, opening his eyes and looking towards Ye Haochuan.

The Liu Weiguo couple also noticed Ye Haochuan’s presence at that moment. Faces pale to the extreme, they showed a look of surprise, clearly unsure how he had gotten in.

”The one who’s here to take your despicable life,” Ye Haochuan chuckled darkly.

The Taoist’s face changed as he retorted angrily, ”You brat, what a big mouth you have!”

”Whether my mouth is big or not, we’ll see if I have the means to back it up,” Ye Haochuan said with a cold laugh.

”So you’re saying, kid, that you have quite the means,” the Taoist sneered back.

”Haha,” Ye Haochuan laughed loudly, ”Of course I do. Do you think I would dare to challenge you if I didn’t have any means?”

”Damn it, an ignorant brat courting death!”

With a cold chuckle, the Taoist waved his hand, and a mass of gleaming coins spilled from his palm, suddenly floating in midair. Then, with another gesture, the coins in midair swiftly formed into a short sword.

Then, with only a swoosh sound, the short sword made of piled coins shone brightly as it launched a fierce stab toward Ye Haochuan.

”Child’s play.”

Ye Haochuan casually used the Nine Tyrant Dragons Fist, and with a series of booming sounds, his powerful and overbearing True Qi turned into a raging torrent, smashing towards the short sword.

Soon, the short sword crumbled like a mantis trying to stop a chariot, and the numerous coins were scattered all over.

Moreover, the coins that were scattered started to emit wisps of black smoke and let out piercing screams, which sounded eerily terrifying.

Clearly, these black smokes were transformed from Netherworld Ghosts.

”This is bad!”

The Taoist’s face turned pale, and he quickly rolled on the ground to narrowly avoid the fierce power of the Nine Tyrant Dragons Fist. Even so, the powerful blast still lifted him off the ground as he coughed up blood and looked extremely disheveled.

”I’ve encountered an expert.”

The thought flashed through the Taoist’s mind, and without daring to linger any longer, he hurriedly scrambled to his feet and fled for his life with a speed like an arrow released from its bowstring, turning into a lingering shadow.

”Trying to escape?”

Ye Haochuan let out a cold laugh, performed the Meteor Step, and with a big grasp, the Taoist found himself involuntarily flying backwards towards him, and within moments, Ye Haochuan had caught him in his hand.

”Ah!” The Taoist screamed in terror, his voice trembling and shrill.

Clearly, Ye Haochuan’s overwhelming strength had completely shocked him.

”Are you a disciple of the Ancient Martial Arts Sect?” The Taoist asked with trepidation.

”Good that you know!” Ye Haochuan slapped down, hitting the Taoist in the back.

With a wretched cry, the Taoist spat out a mouthful of fresh blood, suffered severe injuries, and lay half-dead in a pool of blood.

”Ah!” It was Liu Weiguo and his wife, hugging each other, watching everything with faces filled with terror.

Ye Haochuan picked up the porcelain altar from the ground and put it into his storage ring, glanced at them, and snorted, ”Your son has been dead for so many years, yet you haven’t let go of your hatred. Is it worth it?”

At first, Liu Weiguo and his wife did not utter a word. However, Liu Weiguo was the first to react with a trembling voice, ”Are you the Ye Haochuan, Doctor Ye, whom Liu Weimin summoned?”

Ye Haochuan spoke sarcastically, ”I’m surprised how well informed you are.”

Liu Weiguo didn’t know where he mustered the courage from, his eyes reddening, ”Ye Haochuan, what business do you have meddling in the affairs of the Liu family?”

”Meddling?” Ye Haochuan scoffed, ”Do you know who this snuff-nosed Taoist is? He is a disciple of the Netherworld Sect, a person everyone ought to kill, and yet you collude with him. Look at the two of you, what have you become? You’re like drug addicts, your days numbered.”

”What do we care which sect he’s a disciple of?” Liu Weiguo clenched his teeth, ”That wench Liu Jiajia killed our son, rendered us childless in our old age, we must take our revenge, and Master Tianxuan has been helping us with that, he’s our benefactor.”

So, this snuff-nosed Taoist was called Master Tianxuan.

Ye Haochuan nodded his head.

At that moment, Liu Weiguo’s wife also began to support her husband with a hoarse voice, ”Mr. Ye, what benefits did you receive from Liu Weimin’s family to become their accomplice? Their whole family caused my son’s death, they deserve to die, they all deserve to die...”

Ye Haochuan’s brow furrowed, the woman was clearly in a very bad mental state, her speech void of reason.

Thinking of the couple’s lonely latter years, Ye Haochuan felt a surge of pity. He was about to offer some reassurance when suddenly, after a loud noise, the Taoist on the ground emitted a wisp of black smoke and swiftly escaped.

The speed was so fast, like a ghost!

”Ghost Escape Technique!”

Ye Haochuan suddenly realized he had made a grave mistake. From the memories inherited from the Holy Hand, the Netherworld Sect was especially good at escaping because of their reliance on the Ghost Escape Technique.

The reason it was called Ghost Escape was that, when the disciples of the Netherworld Sect fled, their souls would leave their bodies, turning into a puff of black smoke, ghostly to the extreme.

To outsiders, when a person’s soul leaves the body, and once the body is destroyed, isn’t life nonexistent?

That’s not the case. The body often isn’t the true form, but simply a vessel that the soul inhabits.

In other words, the Taoist’s physical body was not the true form of this disciple of the Netherworld Sect at all.
