Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 327: Chapter 336

At this moment, Director Liu called, and Ye Haochuan was well aware of what it was about—it had to be about his daughter, Liu Jiajia.

As soon as he answered the call, it was indeed as he had expected.

”Doctor Ye, could you please come over to my place? My daughter Jiajia has had a relapse of her old condition, and it seems to be quite serious,” Director Liu said with an urgent tone.

Remembering that the Xiao Family still needed the bank’s support, Ye Haochuan felt obliged to agree, ”Alright then.”

After hanging up the phone, Ye Haochuan pulled Xiao Haimei aside and explained the situation to her.

When Xiao Haimei heard it was Huaxia Minsheng Bank’s Director Liu who had called, she clearly thought it wouldn’t be wise to offend him and said, ”Dear, you go ahead then, I’ve got things covered here.”

Hearing her call him ”dear,” Ye Haochuan immediately felt joy in his heart, knowing she wasn’t mad at him anymore, and couldn’t help but pull her into his embrace for a passionate kiss.

But being in public, Xiao Haimei, who didn’t have as thick a skin as Ye Haochuan, quickly pushed him away, blushing and whispering softly, ”Stop it, there are people around.”

”Hehe, no one, I wouldn’t have done it otherwise,” Ye Haochuan said with a smile, glancing at Fan Qingyin and others nearby. He whispered, ”Let’s do this, when there’s no one around later, we can get a little wild.”

Xiao Haimei gave him a sidelong glance, ”Who’s getting wild with you? You’re shameless. I’m warning you, don’t flirt around. If I find out, see if I still forgive you?”

Sighing, Ye Haochuan teased, ”Sister Mei, come on, you can’t be serious? Facts have proven that my charm is too great. I’m naturally prone to being chased by women, and if I don’t provoke them, they come after me like bees to honey. What can I do? Like just now, CEO Su Manni came up to me and told me she liked me straight away, what could I have done?”

”Couldn’t you have just refused?” Xiao Haimei rolled her eyes at him and pinched him hard, ”You’re just acting coy after taking advantage.”

Ye Haochuan pretended to be hurt, begging for mercy, ”Okay, okay, I was wrong. I’ll refuse in the future, alright?”

Then, Xiao Haimei suddenly lowered her voice, with a peculiar expression, and asked, ”Tell me, are you interested in my best friend?”

”Your best friend? Qingyin?” Ye Haochuan was stunned for a moment.

Xiao Haimei nodded, her eyes like autumn waters, shining with an unusual glimmer.

Ye Haochuan stared at her for a while, his mind spinning with thoughts. What does Sister Mei mean? She’s not testing me, is she?

Thinking this, he cautiously chuckled, ”Sister Mei, don’t get the wrong idea, rabbits don’t eat the grass at the edge of their nests. Miss Fan is your best friend, how could I possibly have an interest in her?”

No sooner than he had finished speaking, Xiao Haimei pinched him again, chiding, ”You heartless jerk, playing dumb in front of me. Do you think I don’t know? Qingyin told me you bullied her. She’s a pure and innocent girl, and after bullying her, you just want to walk away without any responsibility?”

Pure and innocent? Did I hear that right? With that personality of hers, the way she throws flirty looks at everyone, she’s considered pure and innocent?

Ye Haochuan was a bit annoyed and said, ”Sister Mei, this is a misunderstanding, don’t just listen to her side of the story. Miss Fan really knows how to act. It was clearly her seducing me, and I simply couldn’t take it anymore. I had no choice but to teach her a lesson. How could it turn into me bullying her when she tells the story?”

Xiao Haimei looked at him skeptically, ”Keep making things up.”

Ye Haochuan was completely speechless, feeling wronged, truly damn wronged, even more so than Dou E.

”Alright, I know the thoughts of you men, eating from the bowl while looking at the pot,” Xiao Haimei snorted. ”I’ve already calmed Qingyin down. She, like you, is from the Martial Arts Path Realm. Since she doesn’t object to sharing the same man with me, I’m going to make it happen for you. Okay?”

Make it happen for us?

Ye Haochuan felt a strange sensation rising in his heart and said with a chuckle, ”Sister Mei, when did you start getting into the business of matchmaking?”

”Get lost, what I’m doing is creating a good match, not pimping,” Xiao Haimei retorted unhappily. ”Looking at you, it seems like you don’t fancy Qingyin, huh? Fine, if you don’t like her, let’s just forget it. I won’t meddle in your affairs anymore.”

Seeing her getting angry, Ye Haochuan hastily said, ”Okay, okay, I’ll listen to you, isn’t that enough?”

Xiao Haimei’s expression softened a bit.

For some reason, watching her smug look, Ye Haochuan couldn’t shake off the feeling that he was being schemed against.

Humph, it’s just a Fan Qingyin, what’s there to be afraid of? Could she possibly devour me, the young master? Disobey me, and family discipline awaits!

With that thought in mind, Ye Haochuan relaxed.

After chatting idly for a few more moments and sharing a kiss goodbye, Xiao Haimei returned to where Fan Qingyin and Gu Li were, while Ye Haochuan went straight to the elevator.

Once outside the hotel, Ye Haochuan used his phone to call for a private car and headed to Director Liu’s house.

Due to the weekend traffic and an increase in private vehicles, the roads were quite congested, and it took about an hour for Ye Haochuan to finally arrive.

This time, Director Liu himself came out to receive him, and even the snobbish Miao Hui came along.

”Doctor Ye, I can’t thank you enough for taking the trouble to come and treat my daughter,” Director Liu said gratefully.

Ye Haochuan smiled faintly, sizing him up. He saw that Director Liu was over fifty, with a large bald patch on his head, wearing a pair of golden-rimmed glasses, and exuding an astuteness characteristic of a banker.

”Director Liu, don’t mention it, don’t mention it.” Saying this, Ye Haochuan’s tone shifted as he glanced at Miao Hui by his side, ”However, it seems that some people are not very welcoming of me.”

Director Liu had already learned from his subordinate Su La about the conflict between his wife and Ye Haochuan. Hearing Ye Haochuan’s words, he quickly signaled to his wife, who seemed to realize her mistake and hurriedly apologized to Ye Haochuan.

Ye Haochuan’s expression improved slightly, and he said, ”Let’s go, let’s have a look inside.”

In no time, they reached Liu Jiajia’s room, where Ye Haochuan found that today she was lying on the hospital bed like a vegetable, lifeless. After a brief examination, he frowned and said, ”This isn’t good; the situation has become a bit tricky.”

Director Liu and Miao Hui were both startled and quickly asked what was wrong.

”Last time I came to treat Liu Jiajia, her soul was merely imprisoned, but now, it has been taken away.”

”What?” Director Liu and Miao Hui looked at each other in dismay.

”Only by finding her lost soul can we bring your daughter back to health,” Ye Haochuan said gravely.

”Then... how can we find it?” Director Liu asked urgently.

Miao Hui also chimed in anxiously, ”Doctor Ye, please, you must save our daughter.”

”Don’t worry, let me ask first—since the last time I was here, has anyone else come to visit your daughter?” Ye Haochuan inquired.
