Chapter 1436: Section 1437: The Vision of the Gate

The Law Creation Phenomenon that brought down the main will had happened in the Origin World before as well. However, this time, the descent of the main will was different from what Froster understood.

Even though the main will had descended, it did not show itself, instead hiding beyond layers of void. It was as if it was observing in the shadows?

This behavior might seem normal to living beings, but this is the “main will,” which some wizards even refer to as “Truth,” or rather the “Ultimate” existence!

The main will is an aggregate of information consciousness, a great operating will that itself lacks cognitive ability, so its behavior of ‘secret observation’ is extremely rare.

This was actually why Froster paid attention to that particular Law Creation Phenomenon.

However, at that time Froster was in a hurry to look for the Reincarnation Casket and, despite his curiosity, did not investigate the anomaly further.

Now, hearing Sanders’s words made him involuntarily link the two phenomena together.

Because, during this phenomenon—

The main will descended once again.

Moreover, its behavior was very similar to last time, with the world will in front while it hid itself.

Situation was very similar to the last occurrence.

Froster pondered for a moment and then, unusually, opened the long-sealed Memory Casket, recalling the layout of the Southern Domain’s map, trying to ascertain the location of that Law Creation Phenomenon in the Southern Domain.

After a while, he looked at Sanders, “You mentioned that Angel triggered a Law Creation Phenomenon not long ago, could it be that it happened in the Outer Sea of Flourish Continent… Let me think, was it the Whisker Sea?”

Sanders nodded with slight surprise, “Yes.”

It really was him.

Froster’s expression changed subtly. Originally, when he knew Angel had once encountered the mysterious domain, a certain thought had emerged in his heart. Now, that thought grew even stronger. A wizard with potential for creativity and who had drawn the attention of the main will might truly be worth his wait.

“Lord Froster, you are aware of the previous Law Creation Phenomenon?” Sanders looked over curiously.

Keeping his hidden thoughts to himself, Froster continued to keep them close to his chest. He looked at Sanders and nodded slightly, “Yes, I just happened to be in the nearby void of the Southern Domain and sensed that Law Creation Phenomenon.”

“Was there anything unusual about that Law Creation Phenomenon?”

Froster smiled, his reply full of meaning, “There was nothing unusual, but in my view, that phenomenon was quite interesting.”

What exactly was interesting about it, Froster did not say, but instead turned the conversation toward the world of doors before them.

“These doors here are quite interesting, don’t you think?”

Isabel looked at the variously styled doors, a hint of confusion in her eyes. To her, these doors seemed odd.

They seemed both real and unreal at the same time.

Existing between reality and illusion.

Sanders also focused his attention on the doors. As a wizard of the Illusion Series, Sanders could clearly feel that the doors here were probably illusions.

However, these illusions had reached the point of affecting the Material Realm, very similar to the concept of a “True Illusion.”

When an Illusion Technique reaches this stage, you might as well say it is real.

It’s like the well that Hua Que had stayed in during these years; Angel had created an illusionary room for Hua Que, which to outsiders was essentially an Illusion Technique. However, to Hua Que, an involved party, it was real. She could rest there, read, listen to the music box, and even record her diary.

It was both an illusion and a reality.

“These doors are both anomalies and illusions. However, reality and illusion are relative. When an illusion can affect the real world, then it is real,” Froster saw through the reality of these doors and, while talking, walked elegantly towards the world of doors.

Soon after, Froster stood in front of a worn wooden door, and amid Sanders’s and Isabel’s puzzled looks, the creak of the ancient door was heard as it was slowly pushed open, revealing the dark void behind it.

Even under the illumination, it was impossible to see what was beyond the door. All that could be seen was a pitch-black expanse, like the mouth of a beast waiting to devour.

If it were any other wizard facing such a door, they might consider all aspects and weigh their options before making a choice: to enter or not.

But Froster did not hesitate at all; right after the door was opened, he walked straight in.

His figure did not emerge from the other side of the door but disappeared from sight.

While Sanders and Isabel were puzzled, from not so far away, Froster’s voice came, “It seems these doors have certain spatial properties.”

Looking toward the source of the sound, they saw another wooden door being opened nearby, and Froster’s figure was stepping out from inside.

Froster’s eyes flickered with interest as he pushed open another large door. Shortly after, he walked out from behind another door in the distance.

After several shuttles, Froster’s lips curled into a smile, “Having both illusionary and a portion of spatial properties, it’s an interesting Law Creation Phenomenon.”

Froster’s words, amidst Isabel’s astonishment, also made her contemplative.

As Froster had said before, the Law Creation Phenomenon is closely related to the created spell. Now that these phenomena have both illusionary and spatial properties, does it mean that Angel’s spell creation possesses these two characteristics?

What kind of original spell technique would that be?

Isabel thought of Sanders’s own creation—Nightmare Substitute.

This Spell Technique, to outsiders, actually possessed the properties of both space and Illusion Technique. However, since it had triggered the Law Creation Phenomenon, it should be clearly distinguished from the Nightmare Substitute.

Isabel, with curiosity, also flew to one of the doors and, imitating Frost, pushed it open.

Sanders didn’t move; he didn’t scrutinize the connection between these doors and Angel’s creation, nor what Spell Technique Angel had actually created. He could ask directly.

What Sanders was more curious about were the implications of these anomalous doors existing here.

He observed carefully.

Soon, Sanders discovered a pattern: these doors actually existed in pairs. For instance, when Frost entered through that worn wooden door, the door he emerged from would invariably be a worn wooden door as well.

That is to say, the doors existed in pairs. It was impossible to enter through a wooden door and exit through an iron one.

However, among these paired doors, one in particular caught Sanders’ attention.

He approached this door.

It was a very simple door, devoid of lavish patterns or intricate carvings. Yet, standing here, it made Sanders feel that something was off.

“Did you notice it too?” Frost’s voice came from behind.

Sanders turned and saw that Frost and Isabel had both walked over, their gazes fixed on the same door.

Sanders: “This is the only door here, among more than a thousand, that stands alone.”

All the doors came in corresponding pairs. But this door stood by itself.

“So where might this door lead?” Isabel asked curiously. Other doors all had a corresponding exit, but where could this solitary door lead?

“Open it, and we’ll know,” Frost suggested.

Isabel stepped forward and tried to push, but no matter what method she used, the door remained firmly closed.

It was a door locked tight.

Seeing this, a faint gleam crossed Frost’s eyes as though he had thought of something. Beneath his mask, his lips curved slightly, “As expected, it’s what it left behind…”

“What it left behind? Who are you referring to?” Isabel looked at Frost, puzzled.

Frost didn’t explain, but said softly, “Angel has woken from his reverie, it’s time to return. Perhaps he will give you the answer you seek, of course, provided he’s willing to speak.”

After Frost spoke, his figure slowly faded away.

Before Frost vanished completely, Isabel asked, “Will these Law Creation Phenomena always remain here?”

Though this place was the Void, it corresponded to a location near the Garden of Living Souls in the middle plane. Isabel was still somewhat worried that if the Law Creation Phenomenon persisted, it might affect the Garden of Living Souls.

“What should disappear will indeed vanish, but what exists is bound to remain,” Frost said, leaving behind an equivocal statement as his figure disappeared completely.

…

The Middle Plane, beneath the dome.

Angel woke from his contemplation, his thoughts still somewhat muddled. Just a short while ago, all his attention had been on the transformations of the Gate Model.

He himself had not anticipated that when special energy filled the Gate Model, a second Law Creation Phenomenon would occur.

And this time, the Law Creation Phenomenon once again showed Angel that “path.”

An overwhelming, surging road constructed from a convergence of countless pieces of information!

This road was merely a metaphor; it did not actually exist, nor did it have any so-called “shape.” Yet in Angel’s eyes, it was truly a “path” built of limitless knowledge and endless information!

The first time he saw this path, it disappeared quickly.

This time, the road didn’t last very long either, but Angel felt somehow that the road hadn’t truly vanished and was merely obscured by a layer of Mist.

Parting that layer of Mist might reveal it once again.

As for how to dissipate the Mist, Angel didn’t know, but he felt it wouldn’t be too difficult for him.

The matter of the road didn’t linger much in Angel’s mind.

Because his attention was quickly captured by another thing, namely the Gate Model on the Witchcraft Slot.

Angel had always been curious about what would happen when special energy filled the Gate Model.

Now, the answer had presented itself.

Angel could vaguely sense the effect of the Gate Model. However, there were still many mysteries unsolved within, and only by actually experimenting would he know.

Nevertheless, when Angel was about to try out of curiosity, he found that the Gate Model still had some restrictions.

Angel stood in place, lost in thought for so long precisely because he was exploring the limitations of the Gate Model.
