Chapter 1413: Section 1414 Conditions

Isabel’s request had two parts, first, she hoped that the Samsara Overture could transform the Infant Spirits back into Souls; second, she hoped to form a friendship treaty with Illusion Demon Island.

The first request was anticipated.

The second request, however, made Sanders raise an eyebrow. This matter should actually be between “Isabel and Angel”, but Isabel had expanded it to be between “Black Castle and Illusion Demon Island”, which was somewhat unexpected.

However, after giving it some thought, Sanders understood Isabel’s intention.

In her heart, Isabel actually hoped to maintain a friendly relationship with Angel, but clearly, she had already discovered that Angel’s perception of Black Castle was not good, even somewhat disdainful. Especially when facing Isabella, his displeasure was fully displayed.

If she proposed maintaining a friendly state with Angel, even if Angel agreed on the surface, it was estimated that nothing would happen.

In this situation, Isabel chose to broaden the scope of interaction. The potential of Illusion Demon Island was already comparable and even hoped to surpass Black Castle. Furthermore, since Angel was a part of Illusion Demon Island, he couldn’t avoid their interactions. Thus, this friendship treaty was actually a win-win situation.

Sanders himself also did not object to forming a friendship with Black Castle; it was a matter of mutual help and benefit.

On the other hand, Angel didn’t find Isabel’s requests too surprising. As for the desire for Isabel to form a friendship treaty with Illusion Demon Island, that was not Angel’s responsibility, so the first condition was what he had to address.

Angel chose to agree.

Don’t think that it seemed like Angel was at a loss, putting in effort, taking trouble, and finally having to comply with Isabel’s demands. But in fact, if one delved deeper, there was no question of loss. If it had to be quantified, perhaps Angel had even gained a little.

In this bizarre and strangely developed matter, both parties bore certain responsibilities.

After all, the birth of King Gumman’s daughter was caused by Angel, and the subsequent ripples it created, his responsibility might not be much, but it was definitely an indelible part of the chain.

The materials required for Angel’s White Light Bullet—the Souls—actually also came from the undead of Black Castle. Even though Black Castle was currently prepared to clear the undead, at their core, these undead still belonged to Black Castle.

Moreover, by helping Isabel transform the Infant Spirits into ordinary Souls, not only would the White Light Bullet come from Black Castle, but he would also obtain richer experimental data for the Samsara Overture.

Therefore, looking at the matter as a whole, Angel was not at a loss. Plus, Isabel would also provide him with a separate reward, so he still profited slightly.

Furthermore, Angel was the one who ended up with King Gumman’s daughter in the end.

Thus, their mutual requests were not excessive. Moreover, Isabel wished to win over Angel and had specifically relaxed the requirements, offering benefits.

Under such circumstances, there was no reason for Angel to refuse.

Having obtained Angel’s agreement, Sanders also expressed his approval of forming a friendship treaty. Isabel gave a faint smile and responded in the Mind Ribbon, “The Origin of Chaos is now yours to handle, I will handle the explanation to Black Castle.”

Having said this, Isabel did not hesitate to announce the result to everyone present.

The reaction of the Black Castle crowd varied, with some being dissatisfied, some being helpless, and others angry, but this was Isabel’s decision, and they had no way to obstruct it.

Kimberly glanced at Angel, seemed to think of something, and nodded to him with a smile, as always showing a sense of closeness.

Isabella had no reaction, her gaze entirely focused on Isabel. Whatever decision Isabel made, Isabella would not contravene.

At this point, Isabel also announced the upcoming friendship treaty between Black Castle and Illusion Demon Island.

The people unanimously agreed with this. Although both Isabel and Kimberly had returned to the Southern Domain, the situation in Black Castle was actually not as good as imagined, except for some interactions with Candy House, relations with other witcher organizations in Fairy Tale Town were quite ordinary.

The potential of Illusion Demon Island was clear to see, currently with two True Knowledge holders and Angel, an Alchemist of the Research Institute, backed by a large organization like Barbarian Cave. Forming a friendship treaty with Illusion Demon Island was a very good thing indeed.

Of course, the friendship treaty announced by Isabel was only a future intention at the moment.

To truly form a friendship treaty, many ceremonies and contracts were indispensable, after all, human hearts are unpredictable, and this was a long-term matter beneficial to both parties, so mutual constraints were essential.

At the time of the actual friendship treaty, the core figures of both parties would inevitably be present, and it would not be accomplished just by a few words.

However, the intention announced by Isabel somewhat soothed everyone’s dissatisfaction, and they tacitly agreed to hand the King Gumman’s daughter over to Angel as the Source of Chaos.

The only request was that they did not wish to see King Gumman’s daughter returning to Black Castle to stir up turmoil. Angel naturally nodded in agreement to this.

The two sides reached a consensus, and probably the only one to express opposition to this was King Gumman’s daughter herself, watching the events unfold with a gloomy gaze. Whether it was on Angel’s side or Black Castle’s, she despised them all.

KIng Gumman’s daughter’s hate and resentment grew more and more intense, the dark energy that was originally swirling around her now became even denser.

Sanders noticed this and commented, “Her condition seems a bit odd?”

Although Angel had killed many undead and was not well-versed in their study, he also noticed that something seemed off with King Gumman’s daughter.

The only one present who could provide answers was probably Isabel of the Soul Sect.

Under King Gumman’s daughter’s resentful gaze, Isabel carefully examined her from top to bottom, “A very peculiar state of Semi-Undead, where stability and Chaotic Energy coexist, truly unprecedented.”

Isabella sighed before giving her answer, “The portion of chaotic energy within her is currently surging, and this is the first time I’ve dealt with such a peculiar semi-undead. I don’t know if becoming semi-undead means she might revert to full undead status again, but for now, if the chaotic energy continues to rise unchecked—”

“Whether she will become undead again due to an excess of chaotic energy is still a question mark. However, it’s very likely that this could lead to an imbalance with the stable energy, resulting in the collapse of her spiritual body.”

Isabella paused here, “If we want to save her, either she stops it herself, or…”

Isabella looked at the Samsara Overture in Angel’s hands, her meaning was quite clear—unless they quickly stabilized the restless energy within her body with White Light Bullets, or simply converted her back to a soul, there might be a chance to avert the crisis.

As for letting Princess Gumman stop by herself, judging by the extremely resentful expression in her eyes, that was practically impossible.

The only method left was to pull her out of her fallen state and turn her back into a soul.

Initially, Princess Gumman was hit by a White Light Bullet, so at least five more bullets were needed to convert her back to a soul. Because one White Light Bullet had been wasted earlier, there were only three bullets left in the magazine of the Samsara Overture.

So Angel needed to obtain at least two more bullets.

As the dark miasma intensified around Princess Gumman, Angel didn’t want to lose such a valuable research subject, so he had to collect bullets right away, leaving Isabella to look after her for the time being.

The undead in Black Castle remained numerous, however, due to the disappearance of Princess Gumman, they were no longer as densely clustered as before, but slowly began to disperse.

To completely eradicate the undead might take some time, but to gather a few White Light Bullets wouldn’t take long.

About half an hour later, Corpse Forest.

“Bang.”

Angel fired calmly; ripples spread from the muzzle as nearly a hundred undead charging him were instantly dissipated into light spots and carried away by the wind.

At the same time, a small beam of white light entered the Samsara Overture.

Angel checked the magazine and a gleam of satisfaction flashed in his eyes. After half an hour of fierce battle, the fifth White Light Bullet was made!

Angel surveyed the surroundings. He’d been battling in the Corpse Forest for a quarter of an hour already, yet the number of undead around him had barely decreased, indicating just how densely they infested the area.

Angel thought for a moment; although five bullets were almost enough, given the sheer number of undead here, it shouldn’t take too long to collect one more bullet and have the Samsara Overture fully loaded.

With this in mind, Angel prepared to continue clearing the undead nearby.

However, at that moment, Sanders suddenly transmitted a message through the Mind Ribbon, “Princess Gumman’s semi-undead state has signs of collapsing, collect the bullets and come over as soon as you can!”

Hearing Sanders’ words, Angel immediately gave up the collection of the last bullet and quickly returned to the surface.

When he arrived at the earlier location, he found that the other witches were all gone, with only Kimberly, Isabella, and her apprentice, along with Sanders, still present.

“Isabella had the others return to the Soul Realm first,” Sanders explained.

Angel nodded; this detail also showed Isabella’s thoughtfulness. Since the others didn’t know the real function of the Samsara Overture, she had them return first, considering Angel’s situation.

Angel approached the light barrier, where by now, the figure of Princess Gumman was almost indistinguishable within the gloom, enveloped in darkness.

The degree of the dark miasma had become so severe, no wonder Sanders had urgently contacted him.

“The chaotic energy has nearly occupied eight to nine tenths of the spiritual body; signs of collapse have begun to appear,” Isabella told Angel.

There was no time to lose; he had to shoot immediately.

Recognizing this, Angel nodded to Isabella, took out the Samsara Overture, and aimed it at Princess Gumman within the light barrier.

With the emergence of a peculiar ripple, white light gradually gathered at the muzzle.

Now, everyone was watching this scene.

Although they had heard that White Light Bullets could turn the undead back into ordinary spirits, they had never witnessed it with their own eyes—and they had stayed to see it happen.

This was a moment that could break away from the conventions of the Wizards’ Realm!

Isabella was especially excited. As a witch from the Psychic Branch, she was very aware of what it meant for the undead to revert to normal souls!

Isabella didn’t dare to even blink, as missing even a moment would be a loss for her.

Finally, the bullet, trailed by a tail of white light, shot out of the barrel!

Everyone waited to witness the miracle!

However, just then, an unexpected twist suddenly occurred!
