Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4198  A Ray Of Light In the Vast Darkness

”Reaching Level Nine Empyrean Stage in three months…”

Evelynn raised her brows, her expression dumbfounded. Instantly, she felt gratified since she would no longer have to worry about losing time for cultivation because of children. She bit her lips and smiled like a child as she turned to look at Tia, who grasped her hands.

”Isnʼt this great for our entire family?” Tia smiled gleefully.

”Indeed. I canʼt think of a better resource for our cultivations in the future if all we need is the Realm Coreʼs massive energy that is said to be nearly endless until its lifespan comes to an end.”

Evelynnʼs eyes nearly teared up as she thought of all the problems that they wouldʼve encountered and how they could be in danger in the future if they hadnʼt obtained this kind of resource. She couldnʼt help but think what kind of future they would be traversing through if Davis passed up the opportunity to obtain a Realm Core by storming into the Whispering Wildlands Peninsula and striking a deal with the Whispering Wildlands Realm Master.

He even managed to acquire this tremendously fruitful resource peacefully.

She stared at him with a gaze full of pride, causing her to feel intense attraction. If the other people werenʼt here, she might eat him. It had been too long, after all.

”Who do you think should receive the first bestowal?” Ellia turned to look at them.

”That should be Tina or Stella.” Tia quickly answered.

”I would say Stella~” Evelynnʼs gaze flickered, ”If she became an Empyrean, then things would be different. Even a Peak Empyrean would find it immensely difficult to even intrude into our mini realm.”

”We will obtain near invulnerability in the Lower Realms!” Tia jumped thrice, looking fully excited.

Ellia also grinned.

This one piece of information changed their outlook towards security and exploration. Now, they had little need to go out and obtain treasures if it was just about cultivation, and their mini-realm would be the safest!

They could finally relax and do whatever they wanted instead of being on their toes.

Even if they got exposed, it would be difficult for Heavenʼs Warriors to invade the realm. Theyʼll be stopped outside easily, and if they dared enter, Stella would suppress them to death with her entire mini-realm.

A Void Dust Tree was the strongest in its home, after all.

Unless someone like Autarch Elluro Coldwing or the Celestial Transcendent appeared, they deemed they were mostly safe, even without Illumina having to guard the entrance.

”The one who planned this might be big brother, but the biggest contributor is Calypsea. Without her, we wouldnʼt know such information, much less be able to communicate with the Realm Core.” Tia embraced the air, ”Calypsea~ Sheʼs not a calamitous star. Sheʼs our cutest and brightest star~”

”Haha~” Evelynn and Ellia laughed.

They admitted that Calypsea played the biggest role but still thought that this contribution should go to Davis because he was the one who brought Calypsea to life. Without him, would this have been possible?

They felt that if it hadnʼt been for him and Lea, Calypsea truly wouldʼve been destruction incarnate. Otherwise, people wouldnʼt fear her so much.

”No, the Realm Core Spirit said that itʼs not the person, but it needs to rest for a month in order to bestow energy to the next person.”

Davis was also overjoyed, but he asked Calypsea to clarify the cooldown period since the Realm Core would be too overpowered if it could grant a tremendous amount of energy for one person in one moment and another person in the other.

”I see. This is more in line with balance. If at all the Realm Core could bestow energy at such a ridiculous pace, it would lose its lifespan way earlier.”

Davis sent a soul transmission to Calypsea and the others, who were all listening.

”One month for a minor stage increase is still extremely good, considering it would take a hundred thousand years to increase one level in the Empyrean Stage if we just used immortal crystals,” Myria spoke softly.

The others also nodded.

”Ask if these bestowals and other kinds of abilities that are currently unknown will use up its lifespan.”

”Yes.”

Calypsea quickly answered as though the Realm Core Spirit warned of such a thing.

”I see.”

Davis didnʼt look surprised.

If a Realm Core went through its natural course of accepting partners and allowed them to become Realm Masters, there wouldnʼt be much loss to its lifespan since it is not being actively used. After all, they werenʼt able to communicate.

It was useless even knowing the Fires of Life Language considering they wouldnʼt be able to sense the spirit by penetrating the multitude of layers within the Realm Core.

Despite becoming a Realm Master, Tina still couldnʼt sense the Realm Core Spiritʼs existence. He doubted even a Realm Core Spirit was capable of it.

To test his theory, he walked forward and placed his hand on the Realm Core while asking more questions through Calypsea.

He probed with his soul sense for an entire minute. Useless.

He opened his eyes wide and used his karmic powers. Useless, and a prickly pain soon appeared in his eyes.

He used Fallen Heavenʼs karmic powers, and there was finally a trace of life he could feel, but unlike what Calypsea described- that there was a tiny silhouette, he couldnʼt see anything other than a thread that was connected to Tina.

It was a karmic thread extending out from Tina towards the Realm Core, but he couldnʼt see where.

Still, the karmic thread was blue in color, meaning friendly, but there were also a few yellow patches here and there, which meant confusion, frustration, and other irritable emotions.

He was barely able to see this thread, so he wasnʼt able to make out how bright this thread was.

”Darling, youʼre bleeding…”

”Hmm?”

Davis woke out of his reverie as he blinked and stared at Tina. He then wiped his eyes with his sleeves before he shot her a reassuring smile.

”Nothing to worry.”

Tina still looked worried but with him appearing to be fine, she nodded.

But in truth, Davis couldnʼt see anything right now.

However, his vision returned a few seconds later, although it was still blurry. His sight kept improving as time passed, so he didnʼt think he needed to use life energy. He continued to request Calypsea to gain more information about the Realm Core Spiritʼs abilities.
