Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4197  Secrets Of The Realm Core

Calypsea relayed what Tina said to the Realm Core Spirit.

”…”

The Realm Core Spirit remained silent, but the Realm Core gave off strange undulations, making the atmosphere heavy.

Davis and the others turned solemn. No one doubted that the Realm Core Spirit was capable of crushing them. However, Calypsea let them know that the Realm Core Spirit was unable to do anything without its partner, the Realm Master.

This became a significant hurdle in the usage of its power. Otherwise, it should at least be able to defend itself even if a little apocalyptic spirit like Calypsea latched onto it and melted it, but it was unable to do so.

From this, it was obvious to them that the Realm Core Spirit was helpless.

”Perhaps it wouldnʼt work without a True Soul Contract…”

Tina pursed her lips. She guessed she was wrong and opened up the empty scroll. She raised her finger and summoned her soul force, about to write.

But suddenly, Calypsea grinned.

”I got it.”

She turned around and grabbed Tinaʼs hand. She shook Tinaʼs hand left and right, ”The Realm Core Spirit agreed to answer my questions.”

”Oh…” Tina raised her brows before she nodded.

She smiled gently and caressed Calypseaʼs head, ”Well done, Calypsea. Thereʼs no longer a need for True Soul Contracts. This is also your contribution. We donʼt know what weʼll do without you.”

Calypsea couldnʼt stop smiling. She even got shy and looked away, glancing at Tina and the others with bright crimson-gold eyes. If she wasnʼt little and cute, it wouldʼve been absolutely terrifying to be stared at that way.

”Alright, at this point, anyone who isnʼt related can leave.”

Davis raised his hand and gestured toward his people.

Learning of the Realm Core Spirit was already enough to receive karmic burden that will affect people in various ways and not just their tribulation. To learn its secrets might completely jeopardize their lives.

”No… Iʼm so curious!” Isabella complained.

However, Davis shook his head, pointing at his life ring, ”Letʼs be safe, my beauties. Knowing too much can sometimes result in a worse outcome.”

”Mmph! You owe me.”

Isabella stamped her feet before she walked first and, by doing so, also led the others. One could see they were all reluctant but couldnʼt easily disobey what Davis said, especially after any one of the big three complied.

Other than Illumina and Lereza, only Evelynn, Myria, Ellia, and Tia were left.

Illumina felt somewhat out of place as she wasnʼt privy to secrets, but she was also moved to see them all accept her after her efforts. She turned her head and glared at the former Whispering Wildlands Realm Master and the others.

”My master also meant for you people to leave.”

”…”

Esmond Stavenger and the others looked like they were being killed. They pleaded with their eyes, wanting to know what the secrets were. Considering they were going to inherit the Realm Core back in ten thousand years, it would be of immense help.

However, no amount of making puppy faces was helping them.

”Divine Emperor of Death, if you can reveal the secrets of the Realm Core, then our meager lives are yours to command.”

”If you command us to walk into a pit of fire, we will. If you command us to suicide attack Heavenʼs Warriors, we will after losing our identities.”

”Your wish is my command.”

The three Guardians who were Level Seven Autarch Stage went on their knees and cupped their hands towards Davis.

Davis shot a glance at them, ”Werenʼt you people disapproving of the decision Esmond Stavenger made? Why are you all now eager to become my slaves?”

”…”

The Guardians had no words to offer.

They already were at the end of their lives. At the very least, they needed to obtain these kinds of secrets in order to secure their rule over this realm.

Esmond Stavenger also wryly smiled. It seems like his gambit was already returning some results, making him proud of his choice. However, it wasnʼt like everything that happened here was true. He still found it hard to believe that a Realm Core Spirit could exist.

After all, he was also a Realm Master, and he had never even sensed an iota of spirit undulations or any kind of life signature from the Realm Core. It was as lifeless as a Transcendent Crystal Core could be. The only form of communication he had done with the Realm Core was that he would Will it, and the realm would be enclosed, disallowing anyone below the Immortal Emperor Stage from entering from the skies and even those who are in the Immortal Emperor Stage and Empyrean Stage to have a difficult time descending.

Since he couldnʼt feel anything for millions of years and the other Realm Masters who came before him also couldnʼt feel anything, were they all foolish and blind Realm Masters?

He didnʼt think so.

However, the person before him was a calamitous star, and the apocalyptic flame spirit was another calamitous star. He felt his worldview expanding each moment he spent with them, but for the first time, it broke.

He felt like he knew nothing about the universe despite living for so many years. Of course, he was aware he didnʼt know much about Upper Realms and Greater Realms, but if it came to Lower Realms, his knowledge should be at the top, but he found himself at the bottom.

”Leave at once. The True Soul Contract specifically states that the renter is the sole ruler of the Whispering Wildlands Realm Core and Whispering Wildlands Peninsula for ten thousand years and the original owner has no power to evict the renter. I have full control here, and any attempt to question my authority or not follow my commands will be dealt with solemnly.”

Davis spoke in a firm voice.

After hearing his choice of words and tone, Esmond Stavenger cupped his hands.

”May fortune be with you.”

He bowed lightly before leaving. The Grand Elders and the Guardians also followed him outside, but reluctance could be seen on their faces. They all felt like they were missing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but the Divine Emperor of Death didnʼt allow them to see or hear what was going on.

This made them beg the question of why he showed them this in the first place, making them come to the conclusion that he was leading them by the bait to string them along for the next ten thousand years.

”Divergents are said to be foolish and impulsive. Heʼs an Anarchic Divergent who is categorized to be more powerful and calamitous, but that doesnʼt mean they arenʼt foolish and impulsive. He doesnʼt seem to be an ordinary one…”

Esmond Stavenger sighed on his way out.

Back inside the underground chamber, Davis had already received the formation cores of this city. There may be some failsafes for the Stavenger Family that he didnʼt know about, but that was already within his expectations. No ruler was just going to give their home on a silver plate.

”Go ahead, Calypsea.”

Davis said gently, causing Calypsea to nod sweetly before she touched the Realm Coreʼs surface again.

”First, is it possible for you to actively bestow a huge amount of energy to improve oneʼs cultivation and prowess?”

”The Realm Master has a passive prowess increase of four or three levels higher depending on their stage.” The Realm Core Spirit started in a solemn tone.

”I cannot trigger this actively for the Realm Master or anyone as it is always present as long as the Realm Master is in the range of the realm. As for bestowing energy for cultivation, it is passive in nature. The Realm Master is always the fastest when it comes to cultivating to the peak of the Empyrean Stage in this layer. As for actively bestowing energy, I can do it to whoever I want, but each time, I need the Realm Masterʼs explicit permission, which I have never been able to obtain.”

”Ohhh~ Good, good.”

Calypseaʼs eyes brightened. She talked with the Realm Core Spirit and, at the same time, sent soul transmissions to the others to keep them updated on their conversation.

”…!”

Davis and the others looked at each other in joy.

They feared that they couldnʼt reach the peak of the Empyrean Stage in the Lower Realms, but it seemed like they could be wrong.

Calypsea instantly asked about the biggest infusion of energy the Realm Spirit Core could give them.

”I am not sure since I have never done it. But this one time… my predecessor said that his predecessor said that his predecessor relayed that his predecessor-”

”…” Calypsea blinked. She was lost for a while until the Realm Spirit Core finally reached the end.

”- their predecessor said that they were able to make a peculiar Seraphim who was able to communicate with them go from Level One to Level Four in the Empyrean Stage equivalent of their realm in a single day and rest for a month before they allowed that Seraphim to increase his cultivation again to Level Four to Level Seven.”

”Woah~”

Calypsea hurriedly informed Davis and the others.

”A minor stage leap…”

Davis sucked in a breath of cold and ancient air. He cast a look at Myria and saw that she had the same dumbfounded gaze.

At this rate, wasnʼt Level Nine Empyrean Stage only three months away from Level One Empyrean Stage!?
