Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4238  Empty Treasury?

Davis sent Evelynn, Myria, Tia, Hailac, and Katherine off.

Naturally, Kalissa and Fahzi, the prince of the Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid Clan, also went with them.

He stood there on the ground, watching them leave before Stella teleported them to Fifth Void Dust Sanctuary. It was in the Uppermost Strata where the Obsidian Crystal Minor Realm was located. From there, they should be able to get to their destination, which is near the Azure Tree Lower Realm.

According to Kalissa, their hiding place was located on the western side of the Azure Tree Lower Realm. They were secluded in an asteroid, living with scarce resources. That is also primarily why Kalissa had to make ends meet by selling talismans while also taking care of Prince Fahzi, who was supposed to be spread out in case their hiding location was found and the remnant clan was wiped out.

It was all done to survive.

Because the hiding place was on the western side of the Azure Tree Lower Realm, Davis also didnʼt have any doubts that they would come in contact with peak Empyrean or Autarch existences like the Venerable Knights.

After all, the Golden Crow Lower Realm and Verdant Vale Lower Realm were on the eastern side of the Azure Tree Lower Realm, which makes it less likely for them to meet. Two Venerable Knights were stationed there, namely Venerable Knight Foredawn and Venerable Knight Renard. They were presumably powerful like Autarch Elluro Coldwing, but Davis had the confidence that they wouldnʼt encounter Evelynn and the others.

He also had his own plans to execute in his mind.

”She went…” Shirley sniffled, her voice low.

”Indeed, sheʼs gone…” Isabella had her gaze down.

They didnʼt feel good separating, but they understood that any self-respecting woman wouldnʼt like to be in debt. They supported her decision to head there and fulfill her promise to the Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Empress.

But they still missed her as it was unknown when she would be back.

”Donʼt worry.” Davis consoled them, ”Evelynn could come back quickly if itʼs just saving the remnants of the Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid Clan and bringing them back. For Natalya, it is unknown how long the inheritance is going to be, so Iʼm more worried about her return.”

”Hopefully, she doesnʼt meet with any untoward encounters and clears the inheritance easily.” Isabella smiled upon thinking of their second sister.

”Hehe, itʼs Natalya weʼre talking about.” Shirley giggled, ”If she is caught, she might as well as leave a name for herself as the Devilish Yin Queen who toppled the Divine Emperor of Death and claimed some rewards from Heavenʼs Warriors and the Upper Realms. When they ask how she slayed him, she will narrate a totally different story, which will leave them speechless~”

”Hahaha~”

Davis and the others burst out laughing.

It lightened the mood greatly. After all, the big sister had a big influence on others. Even if she supposedly did nothing, they would greatly respect her for just existing. That was what such a position entailed. More than that, because she accepted them, they were able to live with the love of their life in harmony.

Otherwise, they surely wouldnʼt have been able to get together with Davis, and even if she did accept them but remained indifferent, Davis wouldnʼt have been able to show his love towards them without reserve.

They had heard tons of stories about the Empress blocking the path to the Emperor for the lesser wives and the concubines. Such a thing never happened here, so they were grateful. In fact, it was their big sister who was always patient and let them have Davis whenever they wanted.

Of course, Evelynn getting pregnant, giving birth, and being busy also created a part, but ultimately, she never stopped them or abused her influence, so they were highly respectful.

”Alright, itʼs time for us to do our part as well when needed.”

Davis continued, ”Is everything ready?”

”The preparations are nearly over.” Mingzhi spoke, her lips curling with some amusement, ”Rapid deployment is possible in two days, but if we need to hurry up, thatʼs also possible.”

”Thatʼs good enough.”

Davis nodded before he panned his gaze at everyone else, his heart filled with pride.

Everyone had made so many improvements in the past year since the Covenant was established. It could be said he had a strong family who would take care of themselves even if he were to be missing somehow.

However, their Treasury was nearly empty. If he didnʼt do anything, then it would be difficult to make progress from now on.

But it wasnʼt like he made this decision for that reason.

He felt a clash was inevitable as the Venerable Knights were too stubborn, refusing to give up on the search and leave for the Upper Realms.

They nearly found the tribulation formation that they had built using Zenova Artoriaʼs help in the Goldlust Rat Minor Realm. Their search range even extended to all the Minor Realms and celestial bodies near the nine Lower Realms pointed out, so Mingzhi decisively planned to fake out some dummies in all the nine realms and nearby celestial bodies.

Basically, the Divine Emperor of Death ʼappearedʼ in various realms and wreaked some havoc in the last month, taking out some bandits, nobles, and officials and being witnessed by many people who then reported it to Heavenʼs Warriors, making them scramble for search.

But each time, the Divine Emperor of Death quickly disappeared.

Naturally, the Divine Emperor of Death couldnʼt appear in all places, and the Heavenʼs Warriors felt the Covenant was unbreakable, so they knew they were being played, so the ploy no longer worked, but Mingzhi managed to successfully confuse them.

They no longer fully thought the Whispering Wildlands Lower Realm has a high likelihood of hosting the Divine Emperor of Death.

With that, the pressure that the Heavenʼs Warrior would discover this place also considerably lessened. However, she nor Davis thought this would last. If the Venerable Knights kept the search efficiency up, they would sooner or later chance upon their mini-realm or even find other realms.

As for who that Divine Emperor of Death was… It was just Logan in disguise. He wielded some talismans created by Davis to utilize his powers and created some havoc. Once it was done, Stella brought him back without getting caught easily since she was an Empyrean with a ridiculous prowess.

This plan was cleanly orchestrated by Mingzhi, earning her fame amidst the harem once again. However, she was in the background taking care of Tianyu.

But now that Tianyu was four years old and didnʼt need to be fed motherʼs milk, she didnʼt need to pay attention too much. She came back fully and was now intent on taking the Verdant Vale Realm Core and displaying her prowess.

She had also become an Empyrean, after all.
