Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4227  Suppressed By The Council

”Thatʼs enough.”

”How long is this farewell going to take?”

Eventually, Davis could no longer avoid the inevitable. He turned to look back and saw Isabella wave her hand and Mingzhi pointing at her wrist as though lacking time.

The mothers who gathered complained that he had taken the children away and destroyed their schedules.

Shea led the charge, ”Darling, you have completely wrecked our plans. I believe you owe us an explanation~”

The children, realizing the impending storm, quickly ran behind their father, peeking over his shoulders with guilty but amused expressions. They knew they had done something wrong by playing all week long. Normally, they would be punished, but this time around, they had their father to rely on!

Davis stood up as he rubbed his chin and let out a dramatic sigh, ”Ah… my beautiful wives, surely, you wouldnʼt be so heartless as to separate a father from his beloved children?”

Sheaʼs smile didnʼt falter, ”Oh, donʼt worry. Weʼll discuss this in the harem court and settle with a big lawsuit.”

ʼWhat the hell…?ʼ

Davis nearly jumped on hearing that word, but as she saw Mingzhi looking away and hiding a grin, he knew she was the one who had put Shea up to this.

The children saw his reaction. Sensing his plight, they suddenly rushed forward.

”Mercy, Mother Shea!” Aurelia cried.

”Mother, please spare Father!” Sheria added.

Even little Lucian mustered his courage. ”He was just teaching us!”

Shea and the others exchanged amused glances, their expressions softening slightly.

However, Evelynn simply shook her head.

”Too late,” She declared. ”The court is now in session, and your father will be punished for delaying your studies and cultivation. To this family, your growth is of the utmost importance, and we will see to it that not even the patriarch has the right to delay your cultivation.”

”Nooo…!”

”Father is innocent!”

As the children tried to plead for him, Davis could barely hide a smile.

They really thought he was going to get into trouble while the mothers were just putting up an act so that they would not think he was above them. Otherwise, it would really be difficult to control them and teach them. Evelynn and the others were trying to regain their reputation back, so he played along.

”Whatever the decision is of the harem court, Iʼll abide by it.” He raised his chin and ʼbravelyʼ uttered.

”Good~”

Evelynn solemnly nodded, ”You are hereby sentenced to a month of isolation. Face the wall and reflect on your mistakes.”

”Yes…”

Davis put his head down.

Whoʼs going to see whether he was facing the wall or just doing what he wanted to do?

And just like that, the children were awed to see their mothers command their father. Now they knew their first mother was definitely not someone to be messed with. Azariel and Viridia were the ones who were scared the most. It instantly raised their opinion of them and they obediently returned to their studies.

Before Mingzhi left, she gave him a flying kiss while the others also secretly waved their hands by their hips.

Davis also winked at them.

Finally, only Natalya stayed.

He walked towards her and wound arms with her, ”Is it time?”

”Not necessarily. If you donʼt want me to go, I will never go.”

”How can I do that? I was the one who gave you this manual, so I should allow you to continue this path. I believe that you will mold it to your own needs.”

”Mold it… I see…” Natalyaʼs lips curled.

”If the timing is right, I will send you.” Davis answered, ”Most likely, it will be after Mingzhiʼs marriage and Leaʼs marriage. Theyʼll also be glad that youʼll be there with them.”

”Mhm~”

Natalya nodded. She seemed to have no problem just spending time with Davis.

”Oh, thatʼs right. Bing Luli also agreed to my request. Sheʼs coming along with us now.”

”Thatʼs great.”

Davis nodded as he recalled Bing Luli, remembering that he had something to say to her, ”Nightveil told me that the Aurora Cloud Gate was fully searched by the Heavenʼs Warriors to find the Divergents who helped me. Although they didnʼt seem to have found anything, they did seem to have placed a few hundred individuals on house arrest. It could be possible that Mu Bing and the three ancestors of the Mystic Ice Sect may be locked inside the sect for the time being.”

”Nightveil already relayed that to me through Mingzhi. I didnʼt want to say it to Bing Luli because I was afraid sheʼd go off by herself and endanger herself and also us. Should I have told her?”

Natalya pouted, causing Davis to shake his head, ”You donʼt have to. Only if she goes would it alert the Heavenʼs Warriors. Until then, they could not do anything to the Aurora Cloud Gate. Otherwise, all sects would restrict entry to them as they have their own skeletons to hide, making it far more difficult for them to search for me.”

”As expected.” Natalya held him tightly, ”Youʼve thought of everything, my love~”

”Iʼve thought of my next prey, too.”

”I hope itʼs me~”

Natalya giggled, and Davis shot her with the most predatory gaze of the month.

They hadnʼt even reached his chamber before they started making out, and finally, they were on the bed. They passionately engaged in dual cultivation for five whole days, allowing Natalyaʼs cultivation to rise from Level Seven Immortal Emperor Stage to Level Eight Immortal Emperor Stage.

After he cleaned up with Natalya in the shower together, he knew his fun was over— for now.

He returned to seclusion.

Within the blink of an eye, two more months passed.

He kept his promise and visited his children every month. He also dual-cultivated with Dalila, Bylai, Zestria, and Eldia. A lot of things happened, but finally, at the end of the ninth month since the establishment of the Covenant, Mingzhi, and Lea were about to give birth at the same time.
