Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4229  Leaʼs Child

Lea was aided by Ancestor Cornelia and Zestria. They acted as midwives. Calypsea was also there. She hovered in a corner, appearing intensely curious as she made ʼOʼ faces. She inclined her head and gazed at them.

”Is it painful, master?”

”Not really… just tiring…” Lea lightly smiled as she tried to push out the baby.

”Ohh~”

Calypsea clasped her hands and waited patiently.

At this moment, Davis rushed in while the others waited outside.

He walked in with a solemn look, and once he saw Lea smile as she indicated to him not to worry, then only he smiled lightly.

Davis inwardly heaved a sigh.

For one, Lea also didnʼt experience a heavenly tribulation. She didnʼt conceive an immortal child, but Davis was afraid that she might experience heavenly tribulation due to her being a Divergent.

He had the same worry for Mingzhi.

After all, both Mingzhi and Lea were Divergents now.

However, they both didnʼt experience heavenly tribulations. If they did, they wouldʼve been able to sense it coming as mothers. That was a mystical sense mothers possessed, or the heavens warned them off. He didnʼt know which of the two.

Regardless, he was joyful that they didnʼt have to face heavenly tribulations. He still held some regret in not being able to face Nadiaʼs childbirth tribulation after all. Fortunately, Myria went to help Nadia.

Now, he patiently waited for Lea to give birth while he held her hand, giving her emotional support.

For cultivators, childbirth could be done easily, but naturally accomplishing it is always preferred since the mothers could harm the babies while being unable to focus from all the contractions that happened inside.

Nonetheless, it only took eight tries for Lea to push her baby out of her.

”Wei!~”

The cry of the baby instantly soothed everyone since that was the first sign that nothing had gone wrong.

Ancestor Cornelia and Zestria checked the baby momentarily for any health issues before wiping her up and nodding at each other as their expressions blossomed into a lovely smile.

”Congratulations, Lea. This day, another son has graced the Davis Family.”

Ancestor Cornelia brought the child closer to Lea, showing her her prized progeny.

Lea still leaned on the bed with a few beads of sweat on her face. Her lips curled lightly as she accepted the baby from Ancestor Corneliaʼs hands, feeling like another part of her story was going to be written unknown to herself from now on.

She couldnʼt help but shed tears as she recalled how she dreamed of this day when she got together with Davis, afraid to be with him, afraid that it might work out, afraid that he would not be with her.

However, all that fear vanished on the face of this child.

The manifestation of her love with Davis.

”Look, itʼs your child…”

Lea bit her lower lip and presented the child to Davis, causing him to hold his breath and reach out his hand to caress the baby.

He had sapphire eyes just like him, but his hair was crimson like his mother. As for his facial features, he resembled his mother more at this point in time.

”He is indeed our child, Lea. You have done well.” He praised Lea and caressed her head too, making her sniffle.

”What have you named him?” Davis asked.

It caused Leaʼs smile to return, and she uttered with a wry smile, ”I have named him Felix Davis. Is that good?”

”Why not? Itʼs good. Felix Weiss would be good too.”

Davis smiled brightly, causing Lea to shake her head, ”I would get slaughtered by others if I named him ʼWeissʼ.”

”But Weiss sounds cool.” Davis looked as though it was a pity before he caressed Leaʼs head, ”My wife has such a cool name. Lea Weiss. Itʼs as though she is the mastermind of some sect.”

”Youʼre so mean~” Lea hit his waist with her elbow.

He was teasing her for no longer being the Burning Phoenix Ridgeʼs Sect Master.

”I like the name.” Davis chuckled before he bent down and nudged his childʼs cheek, ”Felix… Felix… how are you feeling now that you have been born into this world? How is your first taste of freedom?”

”Iʼm really going to pinch you.” Lea smilingly glared at him.

”Help, your mother is attacking me.”

”Rogue~”

Like that, Davis spent the next few minutes raising Leaʼs spirits while staring at their babyʼs face without a change in their expression. He was so small and incredibly cute. They were unable to look away. They also checked for anomalies, but they couldnʼt find one.

Evidently, Felix was born with a talent that was as good as the others but possessed no physique. He didnʼt inherit Emperor-Tier Blood because he was not fey, but his bloodline purity was astounding.

They felt that it didnʼt matter if he didnʼt have a physique but made sure that they didnʼt miss one.

After some time, the others were allowed in, and they congratulated Lea in unison, leaving her speechless and embarrassed. She had done it to others, but now that she was in this scenario, she felt special but also incredibly embarrassed.

After living for so many years, she finally had a child of her own. She felt like this called for a banquet and asked Davis.

”Of course. Both you and Mingzhi gave birth to two sons in a span of six hours but on different days. How can I not prepare a banquet beforehand? It will be ready at noon and could be served for lunch at a momentʼs notice. Just say the word.”

”Yay!~” Freya danced like a fool.

She was also overjoyed that Lea gave birth to a healthy son.

Unfortunately, Mira was still mutating, or she wouldʼve jumped along with Freya for no reason other than to share some happiness. However, Calypsea joined her and danced around, making the others laugh.

”What a coincidence. There are now seven daughters and seven sons.” Mingzhi was also here with her soul body.

”True.” Fiora raised her hand and hid her mouth, appearing shocked, ”I didnʼt realize at all. I thought we had too many daughters, but it turns out that in the past few months, we have had a lot of sons.”

”Indeed. Nadia gave birth to Noctis and Ragna. You birthed Arc. I created Tianyu, and Lea had Felix. In the past six months, too many sons were born.”

”No wonder…” Everyone nodded.

They were mostly busy with cultivation to even consider this matter. Everyone has to make significant improvements in their cultivation, after all. Otherwise, they would lag behind. They werenʼt willing to be left behind.

”When is the next boom then?” Natalya asked before directing all the attention to someone.

”…?”

Davis could only spread his hands, indicating that he didnʼt know. However, the desires in their eyes nearly burned a hole in his chest.

Nonetheless, he later had a banquet with his family members and enjoyed the next two days. They talked about a lot of things, and one of them was to keep the seven other children in one class as they did for the first class.

Claireʼs youngest, Alice, will also join that class along with a few others from other families who failed to get into class one.

They also discussed whether to enter Calypsea with class one or class two. They couldnʼt decide since they felt Calypsea was too dangerous, but at the same time, she didnʼt know enough to mingle with class one and knew too much to mingle with class two.

It became a dilemma.

Still, with things looking good, Davis eventually was not worried about anything happening. He learned to accept this peace and intended to deal with trouble when it came knocking on their doors. Until then, he fully indulged in these joyful days but remained vigilant enough to keep an eye nearly everywhere.

He was going to wait a few more days before going back to seclusion since he felt the time could be right to launch an offensive on the Verdant Vale Lower Realm soon in a month or two.
