Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3887  Only Need A Minute

Davis held his head, blood emerging from his eyes as they dripped down his face.

He wiped them off with his sleeves before he dashed and flew off into the distance, looking for a suitable space. If he didnʼt enter the Immortal Emperor Stage, he felt like he could forget about surviving as whatever chances he had left to escape were utterly gone with Saintess Lunariaʼs disciples had left, and even the Heavenly Blight Hall was unreliable as he knew not to trust them fully.

They didnʼt show up for anything, not making even the slightest commotion.

Perhaps they were watching what he was capable of or had other plans since they had probably seen him together with the unknown Divergents. Either way, he didnʼt care about them and knew crossing his tribulation came first.

Then— no matter what came his way, Davis felt like he should be powerful enough to withstand using his own prowess, and even if there was danger, using the black-white stone and Fallen Heaven in tandem wouldnʼt use up much of his focus, allowing him to wreak havoc to his heartʼs content.

At that time, who would dare to harm him?

The Celestial Transcendent?

Even such a person could only descend after suppressing his cultivation base.

The fact that there was no one above Empyrean was here told Davis what he needed to know. This was also why the World Master of the First Haven World always emphasized staying in the Lower Realm, or if they were going to be caught in the Upper Realms, they should run to the Lower Realms.

”…”

Davisʼs breathing was light.

He spotted an uncanny valley with a single entrance and a dead end at the end as a giant mountain blocked it and surrounded it. There were wild, magical beasts and feral beasts living here, causing him to blare his aura, which spooked them.

Whether they could run away and escape depended on their skill or luck.

Davis was not at his witʼs end but was too tired. He was starting to care less. He was always exhausted ever since he entered the true immortal world, but at this moment, he almost wanted to just kill himself and be done with it.

ʼDamn… using this treasure to this degree makes one depressed too…?ʼ

He inwardly sighed and kept the black-white stone inside, and told Fallen Heaven to scram nicely before it could be found out.

He flew to the middle and looked around, noticing that this would be a good place to undergo his tribulation. He placed the death puppets at the entrance, although he could feel his connection to them was starting to become vague. It wouldnʼt be long before he lost control of them, and they plopped to the ground like dead bodies, but that was fine.

”I only need a minute…”

Davis clenched his fist as he looked above.

Back in his Immortal King Tribulation, he took his sweet time extending the tribulation as his rage was on the Fire Phoenix Clan, allowing him to destroy their cities, but now, there wasnʼt much to delay. He wanted to breeze through the tribulation, getting this over as quickly as possible.

Davis took a deep breath as he began breaking through his bottleneck.

He hadnʼt used much of his energy, and his cultivation was filled to the brim at the peak, ready to explode anytime.

*RUMBLE!!!~*

A resounding explosion reverberated throughout the heavens and the ground of this valley, causing every living thing that was beneath it to become immobile as a result of the tremendous pressure that was exerted on them.

The people who hid in the outer region of the Obsidian Citadel shuddered as they felt a chill seep across their spine. They hid in intact buildings and even underground shells that were like shelters, able to see through the gaping hole in the wall or the ceiling that the entire world had become darkened, which caused their teeth to clatter.

However, it wasnʼt only them. Tens… hundreds… perhaps thousands of cities had gone silent in a second as they looked up. The palpable sensation of fear grew among the populace as they all knew the Divine Emperor of Death had intruded upon the execution from the broadcasted projection. Their sense of unease was ever present from the beginning, but they shuddered and screamed as the skies completely darkened and a layer of dark crimson clouds kept expanding into the horizon almost endlessly.

The crimson clouds were slowly expanding, but the annihilative aura couldʼve already reached the edges of this Minor Realm.

”…”

Davis looked above and around.

He could not see how far his tribulation clouds extended as he was surrounded by huge mountains. Still, he didnʼt need to see it.

There were nine seconds until the first heavenly lightning strike. But before that, there was something else that would fall on him.

*Bzzz!~*

Davis had used Karmicgrace to imbue himself with fourth-tier karmic virtue. He needed both fourth-tier karmic virtue and fourth-tier karmic sin, of which he had collected the latter back in the First Haven World. He was just about done collecting fourth-tier karmic virtue today from the congregation of Heavenʼs Warriors. That was the tipping point that made him change his plans from chasing Clara and bringing her back to undergoing his own tribulation.

He clenched his teeth, unable to forget that he harmed her.

But at this moment, he felt like he was plunged into the ocean.

”Ah… this is…”

Davis was in the air, but he was submerged inside a water body. This water body was light blue in color and was nearly transparent, allowing one to see clearly. The moment he was submerged, he felt the exhaustion in his body ease up and the ache in his soul fade.

All that rage, all that sadness… everything felt so distant that he wanted to be at peace and take rest within the warm embrace of the water.

”…!”

Davis opened his eyes and took a deep breath. Surprisingly, he could breathe in this water, and whatʼs more, it healed all his injuries and allowed his body to undergo tempering without even feeling the slightest pain or irritation.

”So this is the Heavenly Water Tribulation...ʼ

Davis uttered as he gazed around, floating while at ease, but he didnʼt stop looking at the Annihilative Immortal Emperor Heavenly Tribulation of his, wondering what kind of threatening existences it would throw at him when he absolutely couldnʼt feel the slightest pressure at all.
