Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3883  Deathly Havoc

Davis was engulfed in a spiral of death energy clouds.

It was extremely pure, creating a chilling aura that seemed to seep into the very atmosphere, plaguing the area with doom. His eyes glinted with a dark stubbornness as he held the Forged Fragment tightly, unleashing its power using Fallen Heaven.

Despite the danger that could befall him, Davis remained unfazed, his resolve unwavering as he prepared to face whatever consequences may come from his actions.

”Just die!”

Davis kept using his focus rapidly.

The death energy from the black-white stone grew more powerful, continuously bashing through the barriers that were constantly erected before him as the Heavenʼs Warriors retreated along with Clara in the rear.

They were trying to protect her with everything they had, not knowing if he had flipped like a true Anarchic Divergent and was going to kill her out of rage. They didnʼt want to take chances with the life of a heaven-bestowed ruler hanging in the balance.

The tension in the air was palpable as the Divine Emperor of Death unleashed his ungodly powers, causing chaos and destruction in his wake. No one could hope to be near him. The best they could do was send a barrage of attacks and put up barriers, hoping they could stop his advance.

Still, the Heavenʼs Warriors knew they had to act quickly to stop him before it was too late.

*Boom!~*

Abruptly, two rays of light were thrown at Davis. One was a terrifying bolt of golden lightning, and the other was a bright beam of golden energy. They collided with the Divine Emperor of Deathʼs deathly clouds, causing a deafening explosion that shook the ground beneath their feet. The impact of the explosion sent shockwaves in every direction.

”Venerable Elder Tovolto! Venerable Elder Sirius!”

Empyrean Miller Skyrend shouted.

Just when they were about to be overwhelmed, the two Venerable Elders appeared behind Davis, their gazes cold as they launched their attacks. They were the ones who surrounded Davis in the other two directions. Since the Divine Emperor of Death had attacked instead of escaping, their perimeter became useless, causing them to abandon it and quickly appear behind Davis and launch their attacks.

Venerable Elder Tovolto was a Level Seven Autarch who possessed the Sacred Thunderbolt Body, and Venerable Elder Sirius was a Level Eight Autarch who possessed the Golden Peak Body.

Venerable Elder Tovolto was a Level Seven Autarch who possessed the Sacred Thunderbolt Body, and Venerable Elder Sirius was a Level Eight Autarch who possessed the Golden Peak Body.

The two of them held positions similar to those of Empyrean Miller Skyrend. They were from the Astral Spring League and the Sacred League Crusade, making them almost equal in status and influence to Empyrean Miller Skyrend.

Empyrean Miller Skyrend was the most gratified about their intrusion.

With that, he and the others behind him, like Autarch Yulan Nazarin and Clara, were able to gain some footing and quickly retreat far away with their lives intact. He was also joyous, as those two attacks from behind wouldʼve also eliminated the Divine Emperor of Death.

After all, no matter how powerful he was, his body should still be weak. It would be unable to withstand the shockwaves of this level of battle. The entire city was in ruins, not from being directly hit but from the shockwaves of their battle, which were collapsing every building in droves. It was a terrifying sight to behold, but not much as terrifying as taking this kind of frightening energy dead on.

Just being near it froze their bodies in fear and halted their thought process to a standstill or delayed it plenty enough to get screwed within a second.

How could they tackle such a power without getting used to it?

It was impossible.

”Heʼs dead…”

Seeing the deathly pitch-black clouds fading slowly, there was no sign of the Divine Emperor of Death anywhere. They hurriedly searched for the treasure he left behind and spotted it falling to the ground where there was once the execution stage, which was now nothing more than a broken structure, becoming more and more convinced that he had been blasted to oblivion.

”It was my Golden Peak Bodyʼs extreme force that eliminated him.” Autarch Sirius chuckled, looking proud.

There was going to be a surge in his karmic virtue any moment now, and he could feel it descending.

”No, it was my Sacred Thunderbolt Body that pierced through the deathly fog and killed him.”

Over his side, Autarch Tovolto shuddered, feeling karmic virtue descending.

The two of them looked at each other, shocked that they were both receiving karmic virtue, which meant that their attacks landed at the same time.

”The Heavens have acknowledged our deeds!” Their eyes teared up.

The two of them displayed joyous smiles, knowing they were going to go down in history as the ones who killed the Divine Emperor of Death. They would forever be remembered as heroes who destroyed the calamity known as the Divine Emperor of Death. They couldnʼt help but look forward to the rewards already.

”Be careful!”

”…!?”

However, Empyrean Miller Skyrend yelled out from the distance.

By the time they realized what was going on, it was already too late.

A ray of iridescent light pierced through their skull, the light in their pupils dying. Their souls perished without even knowing how. It was instantaneous, leaving nothing to the imagination as they fell like their strings had been cut.

”Nirvanic energy, the boon and bane of souls…”

From the distance, Empyrean Miller Skyrend shuddered.

Two Venerable Elders had been killed. This was a huge matter that would incur the wrath of all the Heavenʼs Warriors in the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy.

Suddenly, they stopped falling as a purple-robed man reached out his hand. He brought them closer, touching their heads with his palm.

”Grim Deathʼs Awakening.”

He coldly stated, and there was a rush of death energy entering their soul sea. The next second, the dead shuddered, their eyes turning pitch-black as they exuded the aura of death, rising from their eternal slumber with a newfound master.

Davisʼs pitch-black eyes gleamed with satisfaction as he watched the once lifeless bodies now filled with death energy, ready to wreak havoc on those who had wronged them. He was now controlling their movements with a mere thought—a power he had never experienced before. However, he didnʼt need to actively control them, as the bit of soul essence he imbued in them during the impartation of the technique would make them instinctively move to his needs and wants.

*Bzzz!~*

The two dead Autarchs unleashed their undulations, their Late Stage Autarch Stage undulations reverberating through the atmosphere as they made their way towards Empyrean Miller Skyrend and the others, impounding them with the thick scent of fear and death, which caused them to stagger back and cry out alarmingly.

The two death puppets abruptly shot towards Empyrean Miller Skyrend, their physiques active as the Sacred Thunderbolt Body radiated an arc of golden lightning, and the Golden Peak Body appeared to curve the space with its extreme density.

They punched out, causing Empyrean Miller Skyrend to send a fiery technique to defend against them.

*Boom!~*

Everyone was sent flying as a result, while Davis obscured himself within the deathly clouds again, which disallowed energy to penetrate as they were extinguished upon touch. Even the spatial layer was like a lake to him, as it didnʼt show any resistance in the face of death, or rather, was unable to, as the spatial layer simply turned watery instead, instinctively protecting itself from being extinguished.

”Brother…”

Clara was shocked and spat out a mouthful of blood despite being protected by tens of Empyreans and Autarchs. She was about to faint from the tremendous surge of energy in the atmosphere weighing her, but she revealed a hint of a smile, knowing her brother could survive this ordeal if he could take control of such powerful characters after killing them.

She thought far ahead, thinking that even his tribulation wouldnʼt be a problem if these deathly puppets could defend him as they remained outside the tribulation zone!
