Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3853  Identity Exposed?

Clara shot a deep gaze at him, wishing he would just move on, but he remained quite enthusiastic, causing her to inwardly sigh.

”Clara.”

”Clara… a sweet name.”

Autarc Yulan Nazarin smilingly nodded. He had no idea that Clara was the little sister of the Divine Emperor of Death, nor did anyone else since the Heavenʼs Requiem, the Heavenʼs Warrior Organization in the First Haven World, was exterminated by two different forces.

On the other hand, Clara didnʼt lie about her name.

She imagined it was only a matter of time before her true identity was found out. She couldnʼt be caught lying red-handed, especially not about her name.

”…”

Davis also felt she had done the right thing, but ultimately, he didnʼt want her outside as her big brother. If she went out of his sight, he would not be able to protect her, but the more she went out, the more it seemed that she didnʼt need his protection.

”Enough chatter. Iʼm going to resume my cultivation, so let me know if anything comes through my servant.”

Clara shot a glance at Davis before leaving for the cabin. Xiaolan, who was by her side, transformed into a small Ice Phoenix as she perched on her shoulder. As an Immortal Emperor King-Tier Beast, she was able to adjust her size at will.

Some regal beasts were even capable of doing that in the Immortal King Beast Stage.

As for ordinary magical beasts, once they reach the Empyrean Beast Stage, they can also change their size at will. Moreover, like feys, it seems that they also retain more of their magical beast features in their human form.

The two of them entered the cabin, and Davis also walked past Autarch Yulan Nazarin. He didnʼt forget to maintain his act as he bowed beside him and followed after Clara.

Autarch Yulan Nazarin watched them leave before he nodded and looked into the distance. He couldnʼt help but want to reach the Obsidian Crystal Turtle Realm as quickly as possible, quickly take care of the menace, and deliver the ruler to the Upper Realm if she so wished, as it was a big achievement.

He knew if she reached the peak of the Empyrean Stage, she would become a grand character whose name would be remembered for generations to come. As he pondered this, he made a mental note to keep a close eye on Claraʼs progress and ensure she reached her full potential.

Inside the cabin, Clara rubbed Xiaolanʼs bird head with some fondness.

She followed her without saying a word.

However, she turned around and looked at that strange man who called himself her brother. She had no idea who this man was, yet she got the soul transmission that he was her big brother before she left their flying ship.

She had some misgivings, as she still couldnʼt sense one bit of familiarity from him, but she didnʼt doubt that her brother was a master of concealment and disguise.

”Stay outside and guard my cabin, my servant~”

She waved her hand, commanding him with a cold voice.

”…”

Davis blinked.

Although he had a lot to say to her, there was no use crying over spilled milk. Right now, he wanted to thank her for giving him this opportunity. This Autarch Grade Flying Ship was too fast.

Its speed was astounding, crossing more than a hundred million kilometers per second.

Davis simply couldnʼt see the sight that passed by at that speed when he stood on the deck.

The flying ship was practically covered in a spatial bubble. Otherwise, it might shatter space in its tracks. The warp mechanism system also covered the entirety of the journey, making him imagine that it would take no more than a few hours for him to cross from the south to the northern border town, which covered the longest distance he had traversed so far in a realm.

Otherwise, it would take more than two days.

He was confident he could catch up to the execution and do something, even if his actions ended in vain.

There was no way he was letting his friends die because of him.

Nonetheless, he couldnʼt help but smile at Clara. He cupped his hands and bowed.

”Yes, your highness.”

Davis excused himself as he walked back and closed the door.

”…”

Claraʼs gaze flickered.

That teasing tone— it was indeed her big brother.

She felt secure, but at the same time, she was worried for him. The way she saw it, she was safer in this world than him or any one of the family members. Now that she had come this far, she had her own thoughts on how to protect the family, but still, she felt guilty for not listening to his words and staying put.

However, she didnʼt regret it, as she knew for a fact that she had saved them from the precarious situation of a powerful Autarch overpowering them. He had even found a remnant Divergent aura on their flying ship, so his suspicion simply wouldnʼt have left if anyone else tried to fool him, even if it was her brother.

”Xiaolan. This isnʼt enough. Teach me how to lie more.”

”But it doesnʼt suit you~”

”Doesnʼt matter. For the sake of the family, I must become as cunning as my brother. Even if it means betraying myself, I will ensure their safety.”

”Hehem~ Lies arenʼt always something that floats in the air like a ship. It is not easy to see through it, but in this world of deception and danger, sometimes a well-crafted lie is the only way to survive. I have consistently maintained an attitude of animosity toward your older brother due to his theft of my older sisters, Ellia and Myria. However, I am also grateful for his efforts to bring them joy. Thatʼs why I chose to stick to you since he canʼt get to you.”

”…”

”Is that a lie or the truth? No, donʼt use your powers.” Xiaolan squawked as she sent a physical soul transmission.

”…”

Clara had no words to say, as she couldnʼt tell, so she asked.

”Is the latter false?”

”Nope, I truly love being with you.” Xiaolan giggled, ”Your silent and calm presence brings me peace and happiness. However, you, a unique being capable of seeing through lies with just your intuition, were unable to see through my lies. It is because I threw a lot of truth into it that you felt the result must be false. Hiding a lie is like that. Just put out a front of what you want to show the world. That determines the way the world perceives you and eventually becomes your reality if you play it enough.”

”…”

Clara stared at Xiaolan.

Where did a little bird learn all these things from?

”Ah~ Those were the days where Ellia and I hoodwinked all the magical beasts in a forest into giving us their entire resources. It was fun~”

Xiaolan appeared to be reminiscing about the past, a mischievous glint in her eye.

Clara almost had the urge to roll her eyes. Of course, it was Ellia.

In her eyes, Ellia was the one who corrupted her brother. But now, thinking back, she wished she had treasured those silly moments. Ellia was her first friend, after all.

ʼAll is going to be fine, Ellia. Brother will come back to you because I wonʼt let anyone harm him by diverting the entire attention of the world towards me and the Heavenly Blight Hall,ʼ she thought determinedly, appearing to have the resolve to become the seed of confusion.
