Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3860  Artifact Forged From A Primeval Law Treasure

After exiting the cave, they flew off using the prepared paths aboard the Empyrean Grade Flying Ship.

Their journey began, and Davis wanted to go rest in the cabin as he let the two assassins fly the ship. He didnʼt fully believe them, but he couldnʼt find any hostility in them. In fact, they were sincere enough that they havenʼt said a word about Rokushi Mirai since she was the one who attacked first despite being a part of their group.

However, just as he tried to enter the cabin, they stopped him.

”Divine Emperor of Death, we would be glad if you could come to an agreement with the Death Enchantress. Weʼre a part of the same group, after all.”

”Death Enchantress?”

Davis frowned as he turned to look towards the assassins.

His sharp gaze made them quake in their boots, afraid that he was annoyed with that title that the talkative one couldnʼt help but quickly explain.

”Thatʼs the name she has been given here. We also think thatʼs a good title for her. In fact, ever since finding Rokushi Mirai and inviting her, the Heavenly Blight Hall desires the two of your union for a stronger force. We always knew the treasure she holds would be of help to you both.”

Davis narrowed his eyes, ”Your Heavenly Blight Hall sure has lofty ambitions.”

They wanted her alive, but they would turn a blind eye if he were to take advantage of Rokushi Mirai now.

”…”

The assassins went silent.

Davis didnʼt continue. Instead, he entered the cabin compartment, walked down the hallway, and chose a cabin for himself, going inside while carrying Rokushi Mirai. He wasnʼt about to let her go yet, as she was still a threat.

Although the chains from the Reincarnation Dimension sealed her, he could only imagine how she was going to bark at him once she woke up. He had also searched her body for hidden weapons but ended up with nothing.

It was possible she had a weapon or two in her dantian like Tanya, but they were currently sealed, so he didnʼt bother searching inside her body.

He put her down on the bed beside him, threw a cushion down on the floor for himself, and brought a crystal core out. With it, he activated the defensive formation, the soundproofing formation, and took out the treasure in question.

A black-white stone appeared in his palm. He examined the stone closely, noting its twin intricate patterns and smooth texture.

It shuddered ever so lightly, reverberating from the resonance it shared with his soul as he was done binding it during the journey so far. The process itself didnʼt seem so majestic. It was as though it was joyfully humming to have returned to its source.

”What can you do to change the tides?”

Davis asked with some faint hope.

However, there was no spirit in the treasure, so he was just talking to himself.

He began controlling the treasure, directing its power to exude death energy, and it responded without fail. A pitch-black gaseous substance emerged out of the black-white stone, reeling around him.

He instantly stopped generating more and sank within the feeling of being encompassed by the cold embrace of death. A part of his mind said he was going to die, while the other part was wholeheartedly immersed in the Laws of Death.

His Death Laws, which had already surpassed the limitations of his current cultivation stage, began showing signs of growth in terms of insights.

However, he opened his eyes, looking joyous.

”It releases a prowess of Level Six Empyrean Stage even while being held by me and doesnʼt even harm its owner… crazy…”

Davis could tell that as long as he held the black-white stone, no, Fallen Heaven, the energy it released wouldnʼt harm him. Using it didnʼt require his energy, but it required his focus, and the drain wasnʼt even much perhaps due to his reincarnation attributed soul physique, allowing him to battle as he pleased.

”…”

His eyes kept quivering, unable to believe that such a treasure could exist.

However, he was aware that this was what the term ʼPrimeval Law Treasuresʼ meant. They didnʼt have many limitations to their usage. The Grimoire of Fate, at its prime and full capacity, could even kill the World Master, but upon being fused from the Tablet of Life and Death and the Thread Essence of Karma, he doubted it had any power, allowing her to have it underneath her palm, further disallowing it from killing her by birthing the spirit.

The spirit also became a restriction, and the limitation surged further when tying its own soul to a human. However, that also helped it regain its powers faster instead of having to wait billions or trillions of more years.

”I understand… I understand…”

Davis raved like a madman.

The same way, this treasure, which was probably derived from a fragment of the true Primeval Law Treasure, did not have many limitations, allowing one to use its powers freely as long as they could withstand its power. Then again, with Fallen Heaven, he was practically invulnerable to its powers.

He clenched his fists from excitement, looking like he was going to break the stone, but the stone didnʼt even budge.

”How about this, then?”

Davis came out of his reverie and absorbed back all the death energy. To him, the process was as smooth as waving his hand. Once all the death energy was reeled back in, the black-white stone began to emit a pure white mist.

”…!ʼ

Davis was overjoyed upon seeing it, as he now possessed the means to heal at the Empyrean level.

If he could use both powers, then-

Life energy receded, and-

Reincarnation energy didnʼt pop out.

”…”

Davis blinked.

He focused again and tried to unleash reincarnation energy, but the stone didnʼt seem to be quite capable. There were only the fumes of death and life. He was unable to fuse them at the source, so he tried fusing them in the air.

However, Davis found his own energy being rapidly drained.

He instantly stopped while his gaze remained on the strand of reincarnation energy floating in the air amidst the wisps of life energy and death energy.

”I see. This treasure is incapable of producing reincarnation energy and needs a person like me in order to fuse it.”

Davis nodded.

Although his excitement came down a bit, he still looked joyous. As long as he got to the Immortal Emperor Stage, he was confident in being able to fuse the life and death energies in order to have reincarnation energy at that level without being quickly depleted.

However, Davis had yet to try another thing.

ʼWhat if I use Fallen Heaven to power this treasure…?ʼ

He thought, wondering if he should give it a go. As far as he was aware, using Fallen Heaven to boost his energy rather than directly using it had brought him fewer consequences. So he wondered if it would be safe to boost this treasure, the forged fragment of the Tablet of Life and Death.

He remained still for a few seconds, contemplating like his life depended on it, before he suddenly imbued Fallen Heavenʼs energy on a moment of impulse as he couldnʼt decide.

*Bzzz!~*

Abruptly, the lights in the room went off, and death energy and life energy erupted from the stone at the same time. It began to amalgamate and turned black-white iridescent in color, actually turning into reincarnation energy as it fused at the source.

”…!”

Davis shuddered at this scene.

The treasure suddenly became capable of producing reincarnation energy, but that wasnʼt the point! The treasureʼs prowess surpassed that of the Mid Stage Empyrean in a few damn seconds, evergrowing so much that it dwelled into the Late Stage and almost broke through that he forcefully cut off Fallen Heavenʼs energy from it!
