Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2932 A Glorious Return...

*Whoosh!~* *Whoosh!~* *Whoosh!~*

Using the teleportation channels of the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan, Davis and the others made it to the Aurora Cloud Gateʼs Domain.

Apparently, the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan also had teleportation formations connecting them with the Aurora Cloud Gate as the Fire Phoenix Clan did, but ever since the Starlight Jade Wolf King became too invested in finding out the Nine Lives Gracious Fox despite receiving multiple warnings, it was sealed.

Now, with Tanyaʼs request and the ongoing tensions, it was unsealed, allowing them to get back far easier than the time they had left.

Nonetheless, there was also another person with them together.

It was none other than the Earth Dragon Clanʼs Grand Elder, Kirana Rocksunder.

The whole time, she was not allowed inside the Starlight Jade Wolf Clanʼs palace, but she still didnʼt leave, as she had to look after Isabella no matter what. Quickly, she cupped her hands toward Davis before bowing her head toward Isabella.

”If there is anything else, please donʼt hesitate to call me, Earth Dragon Empress.”

”Mhm~”

Isabella thought for a moment before instantly rejecting the other partyʼs offer.

”I do have one thing I would like the Earth Dragon Clan to do.”

”What is it?” Grand Elder Kirana Rocksunderʼs expression lit up, ”If it is within our clanʼs power, I wouldnʼt say no.”

Davis and the others watched Isabella communicate. It seemed that they took the conversation to soul transmission, causing them to be unable to hear. However, they saw Grand Elder Kirana Rocksunderʼs expression change before she seemed contemplative.

”Earth Dragon Empress, I understand your request, but I need to consult the Patriarch for this matter.”

”I understand. Take care.”

Isabella cupped her fists, causing Grand Elder Kirana Rocksunder to nod and fly away. However, she cast a look at Davis one last time.

”I hope to hear a positive reply from you, Emperor of Death.” With that, she bowed again and disappeared into the horizon.

”Third sister, what did you ask?”

Tanya appeared curious. Her tone made Isabella smile.

”Well, if the Earth Dragon Clan agrees, I mightʼve bought some more time for us.”

”You told them to give support or protect the Central Primesky Alliance?”

Davis asked, causing Isabellaʼs smile to fade before she glared at him.

”Why did you guess so easily?”

”Because we had the same idea, I suppose.” Davis chuckled, ”However, in no way am I going to ask them for help. Although the Earth Dragon Clan didnʼt do any wrongs, Iʼm still on the fence about them as I find it hard to make any important decisions about you two without becoming strong first.”

Shirley giggled ever so lightly, ”Iʼm no longer interested in repaying a debt when their descendants are trying to abuse me. We can wait.”

At this point, if Davis said for her not to participate in the Candidacy, she would stop without hesitation. The thought of honoring her promise with Flamerose and Frostrose no longer existed within her because even they said not to bother with their clans anymore.

Although they hadnʼt regained their memories yet, they still retained their personality and way of thinking. If even they thought that the Fire Phoenix Clan wasnʼt worthy, then there was nothing that could be said about it.

As for the Ice Phoenix Clan, she didnʼt think about participating in the Ice Phoenix Clan because Frostrose originally belonged to the Fire Phoenix Clan in the true immortal world. After all, she was twin sisters with Flamerose.

Shirley had no obligation to the Ice Phoenix Clan.

”Indeed. The Candidacy is still a few years ahead. With our cultivation speed, we have plenty of time.”

Isabella also didnʼt hurry Davis.

He smirked in agreement and led them back to the Aurora Cloud Gate.

”What!? There he is!”

”Quick, capture him!”

”Capture? No, we must eradicate him!”

Davis clicked his tongue in annoyance as his hunters seemed to have set up detection formations near most teleportation formations. It seems that he may have moved across another active teleportation formation to have been detected by such a formation.

It even detected Nadiaʼs concealment, which meant they had secretively deployed Immortal Emperor Grade Detection formations here.

Nonetheless, without even saying a thing, Isabella disappeared.

Her speed was incredible that she spawned right on top of them and spun mid-air, bringing down her fist as she caused a mountain-wide disaster to occur.

*Boom!~*

Isabella shattered an Immortal Emperor Grade Ore Mountain like it was porcelain, but she furrowed her brows as she sensed a deathly attack fall on them with such precision before her attack could land on them. They were deader than dead before she crushed them into meat paste, causing her to turn to look at Nadia with an approving smile.

She returned to Davis, indicating that Nadia finished them off before they could even inform others.

”That was unexpected but a marvelous work nonetheless.”

ƥαṇdα- ηθνε|·ƈθm Davis smiled as he thought he wouldʼve been found out, which wouldʼve made his plans go to waste, but it was taken care of by his amazing wives. Still, even if his enemies did come to find this mess, there would only be disputes with the Aurora Cloud Gate and rumors about him going around.

However, he wasnʼt worried as there were too many rumors about his location going around, courtesy of the Blazing Thunderlight Sectʼs Founder, who planned to leech him while making the others run around.

He learned it from hearing Tanyaʼs account of the world hunting him.

Even now, he found it a bit hard to believe she let him out just like that.

After all, Myria wasnʼt bound to a Blood Soul Contract. They had just traded their words in exchange for his freedom at the moment until Myria heals her once or revives her.

Just what were the Blazing Thunderlight Sect Founderʼs intentions? She was hard to read as he had zero knowledge about her past and could only make assumptions based on her personality.

As Davis thought about it, he made his way back to the main sect of the Aurora Cloud Gate and secretively entered with the help of Elder Aradiel Furiose, who severely reprimanded him for committing a massacre.

Even when the Aurora Cloud Gate destroyed the Godwin Family, they made sure not to target the people living there, only targeting those who had the blood of the Godwin Family.

But still, Davis knew that these so-called innocent people who were left alive suffered a fate worse than death because greedy people wanted to plunder and have fun from the weakʼs suffering.

However, Davis didnʼt argue and simply cupped his hands as he raised his head.

”Iʼll exile myself in a week or two, Elder Aradiel Furiose.”

”This isnʼt about taking responsibility. This is about the lives lost needlessly. I understand your anger but donʼt take it out on the wrong people. Youʼre only becoming like the Fire Phoenix Clan in that case. Hmph!”

”…” Davis was at a loss seeing Elder Aradiel Furiose act disappointed. He didnʼt know how to reply for a moment.

”Thatʼs unfair. The heavens killed them. Not him.” Lea spoke up.

”He led the heavens to them. If you transport a killing formation thatʼs unstable, and you know it, but you still choose to transport it across the town, and it somehow activates, is it your fault or the killing formationʼs?”

”…” Lea and the others were unable to retort. However, Shirley pointed at him.

”Itʼs your fault for not protecting the disciple and the town!”

”You-”

Elder Aradiel Furiose reeled back as his expression churned. Davis almost laughed as he saw the elder experience the unreasonable side of a woman in love. Nonetheless, he waved his hand.

”Thatʼs enough. I admit that itʼs my wrong, and the sect can exile me on those grounds. Has Saintess Lunaria said anything…?”

Elder Aradiel Furiose crossed his arms.

”Good for you. Her eminence hasnʼt said a word. Nonetheless, donʼt do it again. You got it?”

Davis nodded his head like a good disciple, ”I will not as long as they donʼt do it again.”

”…”

Elder Aradiel Furiose looked away and sighed, appearing to massage his forehead.

”Elder Aradiel Furiose.” Davis also spread his hands, ”Why do you think I went around running in disguises? Is it to protect myself and my family from being targeted?”

”Yes, but most importantly, itʼs to avoid meaningless slaughter. If even those disguises are of no use anymore, then Iʼm backed into a corner where I can no longer care about the lives of strangers. I will announce through many intelligence networks that innocent people should leave the Fire Phoenix Clanʼs Domains when I come out of seclusion. If they donʼt, then theyʼre simply asking to be slaughtered along with them for whatever wrongs the Fire Phoenix Clan is going to commit further.”

”How can they leave so easily? Their businesses, their lifeline, their-”

”That begs the question. How are they innocent when theyʼre partaking in the Fire Phoenix Clanʼs glory?”

Davis asked, causing Elder Aradiel Furiose to falter as his lips parted, but no words came out.

”I donʼt want to exaggerate or convolute the status of innocent people so much, so letʼs just have it my way, alright? Feel free to exile me before I exile myself.”

”…”

Davis flicked his sleeves and left, leaving Elder Aradiel Furiose not knowing what to do with this youngster who seemed closer and closer to walking the path of a calamitous Anarchic Divergent.

Nonetheless, after crossing a few more hurdles, especially the ones around his floating island, where it was surrounded by disciples and elders alike, eager for his return for whatever reason, he finally made it back to the island with Nadiaʼs concealment.

He didnʼt even reveal himself to the Reaper Soul Legion and went straight to his home, where a purple-robed woman, along with many other women, was waiting for him with a relieved smile on her face.

Even Stella and Vereina seemed to be here, the former trembling in excitement over his return.

”Yay!~ Welcome back, big brother!”

Stella pounced on him, swinging around by holding his neck with pure joy filling her face. Being infected by her cheerfulness, he brightly smiled as he turned to look at his women, especially his Evelynn.

”Iʼm back.”

”Big brother, I heard that you have committed a grave sin against your wives. What might it be?”

”...”

As Stella stopped swinging on him and asked curiously as she floated, his peaceful expression didnʼt even last a moment, cracking like his immortal vessel.
