Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2916 Recovering Health

Davisʼs brows raised in astonishment as he heard Yillaʼs words.

It sounded very heartening to hear that she thought of him as her everything, but this was not the Yilla he remembered, even when seen through his own lenses. He narrowed his eyes, using his other hand to capture her other cheek and make her look at him.

Yillaʼs heart pounded in response. Was she going to be kissed again? With his absolutely mesmerizing face?

”Yilla, you are too dependent on me.”

”Eh…”

However, what he said broke her imagination, bringing her back to reality before she smiled awkwardly.

”Is that burdensome…? Haha~ I guess thatʼs also annoying-”

”No, I think youʼre too dependent on me because you donʼt want to lose me, just like you lost your spirit, Darkshade.”

Davis looked at her with all seriousness, ”Do you want to save your spirit?”

His question made Yillaʼs gaze shudder, her expression becoming full of hesitance.

”I… even if I want to save my spirit, itʼs probably too late. The Dynastic Evernight Phantasm Clan wouldʼve eaten her by now, and even if they didnʼt, they probably absorbed her soul essence clean.”

”What if she is still alive?”

”I told you. Spirits are cannibalistic...”

”…”

Davis continued to stare at her. His gaze eventually caused Yilla to collapse.

”I… I want to save her...”

She uttered, tears emerging in her eyes, causing Davis to finally smile as he pulled her closer and hugged her, caressing her smooth back.

”Thatʼs the way it should be.”

Yilla trembled in his embrace. Her face was on his chest, making a mess as she silently squealed before shaking her head.

”But… I donʼt want to burden you. I know you are going to be hunted down… You should stay somewhere hidden until you can show your face outside...”

She suddenly raised her head to look at him, her purple eyes gleaming, ”This place… this place is also good… Although this is a prison, youʼre somewhat safe here with that woman demanding things from you… You may be able to delay however much you want until you fully recover… whether it may be months or years...”

”Smart.”

Davis patted her head, ”However, thatʼs not the way I do things. Once Iʼve healed myself, weʼll be out of here if she still honors her promises. If not, one of us is going to die.”

Yillaʼs gaze shook. She saw that he was serious, causing her to not know what to do.

She also wanted to make the Zyrus Family suffer because of their actions full of treachery, but she didnʼt dare burden him with that task anymore because she knew that he could have only so many things to care about, not to mention that it would put him in immense danger, so how could she see him battle against the Blazing Thunderlight Sectʼs Founder here?

She was too strong, especially in this place where all the formations were under her control.

Even an Ancestor-level character would probably suffer if they invaded this place.

Fighting her here? Wasnʼt that practically suicide?

”No, you cannot! I… I will talk to her… I will go appeal… do whatever it takes...”

”…”

Davis looked taken aback, not understanding what went into her thoughts to reveal that kind of pleading expression. Regardless, he smiled, still patting her head.

”Relax. In that battle, Iʼm not the one whoʼs going to die.”

”…”

”We all have our trump cards. Iʼm sure she has the same, even to hide her anarchic aura from heavenly warriors like me.”

Davis chuckled ever so lightly at the dumbfounded Yilla. The fact that Clara was there but didnʼt react to the Blazing Thunderlight Sectʼs Founder clearly meant that she was using some kind of treasure to hide her anarchic status.

She wasnʼt even found to be an Anarchic Divergent back in her era, so he was inclined to believe his assumption.

Nonetheless, looking at this woman, he never expected to be the kind of woman who gives her everything to her man, causing him to lean and take her velvety lips, savoring her taste like he was tasting a cuisine, biting her lips, treading over the smooth and plushy feeling.

”You… Let me-uhm~”

Yilla tried to address this issue, but he was relentless with his kissing, holding her dear as he made her melt. At the same time, she felt her entire body going limp again as something entered her.

She gasped, feeling that rock-hard dick somehow having made its way deep and kissing her womb underneath.

”Just relax and leave it to me, your man...”

And that was it. She lost her mind, beginning to shake her hips by herself. Davis also felt damn good. With the pain gone came the blissful pleasure of dual cultivation.

It wasnʼt until he ejaculated two times and made her orgasm six times did he leave her alone, going back to someplace else other than the cellar. Yilla also followed him, but her eyes appeared to be mesmerized, looking to be completely smitten by him.

ʼDamn, this really is a guest room…ʼ

Davis once again looked around the luxurious compartments hidden behind the door of the cellar. He thought it was an illusion at first before he went to bathe with Yilla, but it seemed like it was truly there to accommodate her prisoners, or at least, the prisoner she considered the most valuable.

ʼJust what kind of life did she live? Did she kidnap Young Masters and Young Mistresses to make a living…? Obviously not…ʼ

Davis shook his head, knowing that she was an immortal inheritor from the time she left the Fifty-Two Territories. On that note, he really felt that damned Blazing Thunderlight Kirin was lazy and fickle enough to hand over its immortal inheritance to an Anarchic Divergent.

It was no wonder laughing at him when it gave the Firestorm World Ode manual to him.

”Hmm?”

But at this moment, he felt a change in his soul, a change that was long awaited, causing his lips to curve into a smirk.

The Transitory Beast Taming Pactʼs shelter finally stopped acting strange, seeming to absorb the changes that it underwent as the misty atmosphere around it was starting to clear.

”Master, are you there...!?”

”...!”

But before the changes were even complete, he heard Nadiaʼs voice resound as though it came from a vast distance, causing his smirk to change into an expression that was full of emotion as his gaze flickered.

”Hmm. Your masterʼs back, Nadia.”
