Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2920 To The Rescue?

Davis walked out of the guest quarters within the cellar, reaching the prison cell where he was initially bound.

It seemed like Yilla had been wary of entering the guest quarters due to its dubious nature, so she didnʼt dare step in and, as a result, had taken care of him in this prison. Looking around, he couldnʼt help but find it funny that he was imprisoned. Regardless, he walked to the edge of the cell, trying to look outside.

However, he recognized that his senses werenʼt allowed outside, so that could only mean that he must use his eyesight like a mortal to look around. Just as he wondered if the Blazing Thunderlight Sect would pay a visit to see his health, negotiate or even mock him, he noticed that the other prison cells were-

”The surroundings are empty…”

”I think this space would get filled in no time.”

”What the-”

Davis flinched back from the bars, looking at a black-robed person suddenly seated beside the cell outside, leaning against the wall.

”Master Deathseeker…” Davis gawked.

His master was here to save him?

However, why did he look towards the ceiling, his expression appearing gloomy?

”When you were taken away, I followed you here. It took many days for me to successfully infiltrate the Blazing Thunderlight Sect and this facility, but when I was finally on this level… that woman… merely cast a gaze at the empty space and smiled as her eyes squinted before leaving without even saying a word...”

Master Deathseeker lowered his gaze and turned to look at Davis, his pitch-black eyes revolving like the abyssal vortex.

”At that moment… I knew… I played myself…”

”…”

Davis pursed his lips as he listened to his masterʼs account.

The Blazing Thunderlight Sectʼs Founder had basically found Master Deathseeker but didnʼt take action against him and instead let him roam around here?

Why?

ʼAh… she also had her suspicions that Iʼm Dead End..ʼ

Davis nodded his head, ”Sheʼs not someone a person can handle without preparation and sacrifice, not even an assassin. After all, that woman had thoroughly prepared for her to be awakened out of the Heavenly Ice Stasis Valley for this era. I bet she has full control of this place teeming with Immortal Emperor Grade Formations.”

Master Deathseeker nodded.

”Even though Iʼm outside, I know Iʼm trapped. Disciple, do you have any idea in mind?”

”Before that… is master not angry?” Davis wryly smiled.

”Why would I be?”

However, Master Deathseeker returned him with a question, causing Davis to raise his hand, pointing a finger above as grayish-white energy emerged from the tip.

”For hiding that I can use Life Laws?”

Sensing its sacred aura, Master Deathseekerʼs gaze shook before he closed his eyes, smiling lightly.

”No wonder you remain sane...”

”Thatʼs a power I want but obviously canʼt understand heads or tails of it. If you had been a magical beast that I hadnʼt met, perhaps there was a chance that I couldʼve made a pill out of your core to treat the problem of going insane occasionally.”

”Why go that far when Iʼm sure I could eventually present a remedy to that problem.”

”Oh?”

Master Deathseeker raised his brows. Looking at the confident expression of his disciple as he brought forth both his fingers and fused life and death energy, giving birth to a new form of energy, his gaze shook again in tremendous shock.

As an influential person from the Ghost Tear Hall, he was fairly privy to the fact that an Anarchic Divergentʼs Tribulation must not be witnessed or sensed. He took that advice from his predecessors seriously since there were indeed a number of Divergents who had joined the Ghost Tear Hall or other underground sects and showed them that they couldnʼt be easily triumphed during their tribulation by anyone except the heavens.

He had also researched Anarchic Divergents for a while since his disciple made it known to him.

Therefore, he sealed off his senses during Davisʼs tribulation and waited until it was over. That was why he hadnʼt been knocked out.

However, by the time he sensed it was over and came out, he only saw a crack in space that seemed to be ripped apart by someone, so he tracked it before he could completely lose the trace and appeared here.

Naturally, he had a lot of questions to ask, but seeing that his disciple was imprisoned, he wanted to save him first but ended up being trapped instead. But now, he had one of his many questions answered by a show of prowess that was impossible for him to comprehend.

But at this moment, he saw Yilla Zyrus appear from the door further back.

”Are you captured as a breeding stud here?”

”Fuck no!”

Davis yelled out loud at his perplexed master as he had flashbacks of his having his seeds stolen. It also caused Yillaʼs cheeks to turn crimson while the latter grinned, ”Then why are you captured?”

The former glared before he could only grudgingly explain.

But on the other hand, Yilla was full of shock at the fact that he was talking with the legendary ghost of the Ghost Tear Hall and even called him master.

That swiftly made her understand that Mo Tian- no, Davis was also Dead End, the assassin who ended the life of Klein Zyrus!

Instantly, she couldnʼt help but fall in love with him a thousand times more. Even at places that she didnʼt know, he was getting rid of vermin that haunted her and now promised her to save Darkshade if she was still alive somehow.

But the fact that he had the entire world fooled over a bunch of made-up identities almost caused her to burst out laughing, finding it hilarious rather than offending.

Hearing Davisʼs explanation, master Deathseeker finally nodded his head.

”So she wants your heavenly powers plundered from the heavens in exchange for your freedom? In that case, itʼs time for slaughter.”

”Thereʼs no way we can win against her here.”

Davisʼs brows squinted, causing Master Deathseeker to grumble. He hated to admit it, but there was indeed nothing he could do at this point as he was trapped under an array of defensive and killing formations as far as he could sense, not to mention that an assassin would lose his advantage when dealing with an opponent at the same level, much less someone who had a higher prowess than him.

He still remembered how that woman fused lightning and flames and made every other immortal inheritor highly wary of her presence back in the Central Primesky Allianceʼs banquet, making herself known but also relaying the news that she couldnʼt be messed with.

Even as an Immortal King, she was strong as a Mid Stage Immortal Emperor by his calculations.

And now, he learned from Davis that she was also most likely an Anarchic Divergent, causing him to feel that it was hopeless.

”Now that I think about it… there was also another person who seemed to be searching for you.”

”Hmm? Who?”

”Iʼm not sure as I didnʼt manage to get a glimpse of her figure but only managed to hear her voice, which said in a serene manner, ʼItʼs foolish for Anarchic Divergents to battle each otherʼ, and that you need to be released...”

Davis blinked as he heard Master Deathseekerʼs crappy impersonation of a woman.

A woman who actually vouched for him?

Could it be a woman from the Aurora Cloud Gate? He could only think of Stella Voidfieldʼs mother, Wix Voidfield, as she had helped them out many times than he could thank her for, but if it wasnʼt her, it couldnʼt be Saintess Lunaria herself, right?

Davis frowned. Just who was it?
