Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2909 In Search Of Him?

*Boom!~*

Space shuddered, and a battleship suddenly appeared in the distance.

”Hmm?”

”Someoneʼs coming.”

”Quick, block them.”

Hundreds of immortals blocked the skies of the borders of the Aurora Cloud Gate. As soon as they saw a battleship appearing in the distance, they all became alert and quickly informed their powers.

Immortals and Immortal Kings alike drew their weapons, but a few peopleʼs expressions changed.

”Wait… idiots. Move! Thatʼs the Earth Dragon Clanʼs battleship which entered yesterday.”

However, someone quickly bellowed out, causing the immortals to be stunned. Quickly, they informed their powers from mobilizing to this location, their faces becoming full of embarrassment.

As they were guarding this location which was the main passageway outside of the Aurora Cloud Gateʼs Domain, they were fairly knowledgeable about which ships entered and exited. After all, to demand the Emperor of Deathʼs exile or corpse, many visited the Aurora Cloud Gate only to be denied entry, but the alliances of the First Haven World never gave up, sending envoys each day to put pressure on them.

However, they also knew the Earth Dragon Clan was looking for something else, which was recruiting their immortal inheritor, which the Fire Phoenix Clan ruined.

As they saw the Earth Dragon Clanʼs battleship pass by them gloriously without being stopped, sneers filled their faces instead of jealousy. Perhaps, out of both the Fire Phoenix Clan and the Earth Dragon Clan, the latter was the one who had lost out the most since they had done nothing.

To them, it was not only hilarious but also good to see other powers losing their manpower for the Candidacy. That way, their powers would stand to gain more undue advantage over the others.

”Is this alright, Earth Dragon Queen?”

Inside the Earth Dragon Clanʼs battleship, Great Ancestor Rocksunderʼs lips twitched as he turned to look at the golden-robed beauty.

”If you can drop us further southeast, that would be perfect.”

Isabella smiled behind her golden veil. There were a few others behind her as well.

”Earth Dragon Queen. Please, we cannot stop you, but you can at least take one of our Grand Elders with you.”

Patriarch Klavius Rocksunder urged Isabella, appearing a bit panicked.

In fact, he couldnʼt believe this situation.

He had even dreamed of bringing back their fourth inheritor on the shape ship but not in this way. This gave him a splitting headache as the life of the Earth Dragon Queen was at stake. Their enemies definitely wouldnʼt allow her to live if they caught her alone without protection.

In his eyes, her life was more important than a Grand Elderʼs as she would be a King-Tier Immortal Emperor if allowed to grow.

At that time, just who among them could match her in the Candidacy? There would only be a few, allowing the Earth Dragon Clanʼs winning chances to spike.

Therefore, he was already sure that assassination bounties on her head had increased by an enormous amount.

”This is Grand Elder Kirana Rocksunder. Even amongst the Grand Elders, her seniority is extremely high, and she has specifically opted to protect you.”

Patriarch Klavius Rocksunder recommended a golden-robed woman with blue stripes on her luxurious robe, causing Isabella to cast a glance at her.

She appeared to be middle-aged, which meant that she was probably millions of years old already or had sacrificed a lot of her blood essence, and understanding that she was an Immortal Emperor who had not ascended, she imagined that this woman was either overly loyal or couldnʼt make progress anymore. Otherwise, she wouldʼve become an Ancestor, at the very least.

ʼOr is she an Ancestor in disguise…?ʼ

Isabella lightly squinted her eyes at Grand Elder Kirana Rocksunder, her lips moving.

”No need.”

”Earth Dragon Queen…”

Patriarch Klavius Rocksunder appeared troubled, turning to look towards Great Ancestor Rocksunder for help. But before the latter could say anything, Isabella continued.

”Iʼm sure first inheritor Rocksunder knows why Iʼm declining this request.”

”You wouldnʼt want the Earth Dragon Clan to interfere or to be involved in the war?”

”Precisely. I donʼt want you people to stop me, neither do I want you to help me. This is our battle.”

Isabella calmly uttered, seeming to distance herself from them.

This made the Earth Dragon Clan understand that she was not fully on board with them, but that was also expected, considering that she only agreed to ride on their battleship to exit the Aurora Cloud Gate without being enclosed by the thousands of immortals blocking the exits.

It was just such words that made them feel that their efforts were not rewarded. Did they really have to wait for the Emperor of Deathʼs words?

If he is still alive, then where was he?

Many questions popped into their heads, but at this moment, Grand Elder Kirana Rocksunder cupped her hands.

”Earth Dragon Queen, I am well aware of your noble thoughts. However, even if you do not require my assistance, Iʼm afraid that I will accompany you for the sake of my clan. Please forgive this old woman for overstepping her bounds.”

”…”

Isabella didnʼt react or say anything, but inwardly, she felt troubled.

The other partyʼs gentle voice soothed her heart a bit, but once bitten twice shy. She really was not inclined to trust any outsider at this moment, not until her Davis was back, at the very least.

”Hmm?”

Suddenly, Patriarch Klavius Rocksunder directed his attention toward something. A few seconds later, he turned to look at Isabella again.

”Earth Dragon Queen, our shipʼs sensory formations have picked up many immortals following the same route as us. Iʼm afraid theyʼre going to participate in the war the Fire Phoenix Clan began to rake in benefits for their powers. After all, plundering cities is extremely profitable.”

The cities of major powers all were constructed on top of Immortal Crystal Cores that generate Immortal Crystals all year around, not to mention the wealth it wouldʼve gathered in each household over the hundreds and thousands of years. Therefore, war meant another kind of business.

”Sigh. Since the Central Primesky Alliance has collapsed, the remnant powers have become vulnerable.”

Great Ancestor Rocksunder sighed lightly and continued, ”I presume enemy forces are also gathering near the Golden Crow Clan and Obsidian Crystal Turtle Clan as we speak. In terms of forces, only the Golden Crow Clan can hold on its own. As for the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan and the Obsidian Crystal Turtle Clan, the latter can defend well due to their nature, but the former is the most vulnerable out of them all. After all, I have heard that they have been in decline for the past five hundred thousand years or so.”

”…”

Isabella and the othersʼ expressions appeared a bit complicated.

Would the Central Primesky Alliance have fallen to this level if it were not for their husband?
