I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 950, The Dark Scorpion Tribe’s Interest

Translator: Silavin

At dawn, Li Ya had been moving swiftly through the forest.

He had deliberately left the Tribe some time ago specifically to gather intelligence.

No other reason than Ga and the others had left the Dark Scorpion Tribe for an extended period, and no news had been transmitted back until now.

The Dark Scorpion Tribe’s Shaman had long been impatient to know the news. As Li Ya was the chief intelligence agent, he had to quickly obtain intelligence.

Otherwise, given Shaman Chen Shao’s temperament, he would probably die countless times.

Fortunately, two days ago, he had received information from the Flame Dragon Tribe’s direction. Now he was rushing urgently back towards the Dark Scorpion Tribe.

Over an hour later, Li Ya crossed through the dense jungle, arriving at the Dark Scorpion Tribe.

He did not pause for a moment, proceeding directly towards the Shaman’s wooden house. He had to report the news immediately.

“Shaman, I’ve obtained news from the Flame Dragon Tribe,” Li Ya reported at once.

He did not dare raise his head. The Shaman’s oppressive presence was too powerful. Forget about looking directly at him, he did not even dare to lift his head.

Shaman Chen Shao immediately sat upright, asking. “What’s the situation at the Flame Dragon Tribe? Have Gai and Ga transmitted any good news?”

His primary concern was the Flame Dragon Tribe. This Tribe had destroyed his beloved Black Snake Tribe.

“Shaman, they’ve successfully taken down the Flame Dragon Tribe and are now managing that Tribe,” Li Ya wore a beaming expression.

He thought this time he definitely wouldn’t be scolded, because he’d brought back useful information.

“That’s good. What’s the Flame Dragon Tribe’s situation?” Shaman Chen Shao asked.

He still wanted to understand more about the Flame Dragon Tribe, to know what capabilities they possessed. To so easily destroy the Black Snake Tribe, and even require the Dark Scorpion Tribe to dispatch Gai and Ga to take them down.

“Shaman, according to intelligence agents, the Flame Dragon Tribe has a Central Market, and all their houses are made of stone.”

Li Ya also wore a longing expression, continuing. “They also said the Flame Dragon Tribe’s ground is excellent, and their food is very delicious.”

This intelligence all came from Bo and Luc’s mouths. Since they had witnessed it personally, he trusted it.

“According to what they’re saying, they’ve already been to the Flame Dragon Tribe, correct?” Shaman Chen Shao asked.

Initially, he did not quite believe it. Who could guarantee he was not lying out of fear of being scolded or punished?

But seeing his earnest expression now, he felt somewhat convinced. He needed to further verify the intelligence’s authenticity.

“They said they stayed at the Flame Dragon Tribe for many days and would stake their lives that this intelligence is genuine.” Li Ya knew the Shaman wouldn’t easily believe him, hastily continuing. “They also deliberately brought items from the Flame Dragon Tribe, specifically to show the Shaman.”

“Bring the items up for me to see,” Shaman Chen Shao drank a large mouthful of Ferocious Beast Blood, his interest immediately piqued.

Li Ya retrieved a large Animal Hide bag, taking out everything inside, then holding it with both hands to respectfully present it.

He placed everything respectfully on the nearby table, saying: “Shaman, these are all items from the Flame Dragon Tribe’s Central Market. They say people fought madly over them.”

These words were all copied from those two intelligence agents. No one knew the truth, but he genuinely liked those items.

No other reason, when the intelligence agents briefed him about the Flame Dragon Tribe, they had deliberately emphasised these goods.

When explaining each item, they had deliberately taken the goods out for him to see once, to confirm the authenticity of their explanations and help him understand better.

“What items would make people so enthusiastic? Do Gai and the others know about all this?” Shaman Chen Shao asked.

“They all know, and they’ve been letting the Central Market continue operating,” Li Ya nodded without hesitation. “The first item is called ceramic. They say only the Flame Dragon Tribe has these.”

He reluctantly handed over the ceramic in his hands. The ceramic’s appearance truly delighted him. Whether hand-feel or appearance, he had never encountered anything like it.

People of the primitive era knew nothing of ceramics. The containers they used were all wooden buckets, Animal Hide bags, or bowls made from wood. Where would they find such well-crafted items?

Li Ya had originally wanted to secretly hide it for himself, but thinking of the Shaman’s temperament, this notion instantly vanished. If discovered, he would probably die a painful death.

“Ceramic? Never heard of it, but the appearance is excellent. Holding it feels light too. Perfect for containing things.”

Shaman Chen Shao was quite satisfied, examining the ceramic up, down, left, and right continuously. He too had never seen this item before.

“Shaman, they said this item must be handled carefully, or it breaks easily,” Li Ya said immediately.

Truly, seeing him appear somewhat distracted, handling it with no sense of proportion, he feared it might be crushed in one grasp.

“Do you know how this item is made? Are there more? Bring more back. I want to use them.” Shaman Chen Shao asked.

Clearly, he had already fallen in love with this item, already imagining the feeling of using it daily.

“Shaman, regrettably there’s only one of these. They said quantities are limited. They must keep some at the Flame Dragon Tribe to maintain the Tribe’s operations.”

After Li Ya finished this sentence, he immediately lowered his head, fear instantly written across his face.

“What did you say?” Shaman Chen Shao, fearing he’d crush the ceramic, set it aside and asked. “Shouldn’t everything be submitted here immediately?”

He did not care about such matters. So many good items must all remain in the Dark Scorpion Tribe.

The Flame Dragon Tribe was merely a Small Tribe. Moreover, they had submitted to the Dark Scorpion Tribe. Saying such things was truly ignorant.

“This is all what the intelligence agents said. I don’t specifically know about the Flame Dragon Tribe’s situation,” Li Ya shook his head.

He silently broke into a cold sweat. Fortunately, he wasn’t the one who went to the Flame Dragon Tribe. Otherwise, if he’d brought back this news himself, he’d probably face a bad end.

“Forget it. Let’s see what other items there are,” Shaman Chen Shao suppressed his temper.

“There’s also wine. They say this is also an excellent item. I haven’t tried it,” Li Ya retrieved a wine jar.

He had heard the intelligence agents praise this wine to the Totems above. Watching them constantly drool over it, he was truly curious about this wine’s taste.

“Wine? Another strange name. Pour me some to taste.” Shaman Chen Shao was already somewhat impatient.

Having witnessed the ceramic, he was indeed curious about what else remained.
