I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 949, The Need to Make an Example

The two hot air balloons descended slowly within the Flame Dragon Tribe. Warriors moved swiftly towards the Yong’an Building.

They needed to report all the intelligence gathered to Su Bai. This matter had to be handled before the rainy season arrived.

*Step step step…*

Bai Si stepped into the second floor of the Yong’an Building, speaking respectfully: “Shaman, everything you instructed has been completed. The Green Vine Tribe has agreed to the compensation plan we proposed.”

“Shaman, the Earth Tiger Tribe is the same. Everything was executed according to plan, and they’ve all agreed.” Yue reported.

The plan they mentioned was to negotiate, using what Su Bai had previously taught them. Setting the reparation amount deliberately high.

Then, through some bargaining, they would reach the amount he truly wanted in his heart. Clearly, the figures those two Tribes proposed were what Su Bai desired.

“As expected, intelligent people know how to choose. What about those Small Tribes?” Su Bai asked. His primary concern was these two slightly larger Tribes. Only these two Tribes had any value to the Flame Dragon Tribe.

“The remaining three Small Tribes all refused. We can deal with them before the rainy season arrives.” Yue said seriously.

Since guarding a Tribe meant having nothing much to do anyway, those Small Tribes had also been assigned to be their responsibility.

“Then take some Warriors along. Rather than letting a natural disaster destroy them, it’s better for us to take them over.” Su Bai said gravely.

The Flame Dragon Tribe currently lacked a large enough labour force. These Small Tribes were undoubtedly the best source of labour.

“Understood. I’ll set out again with the Warriors soon and will definitely bring good news to the Shaman,” Yue nodded emphatically.

Yue hadn’t participated in combat for quite some time. She rather fancied loosening her muscles and bones now.

The Tribe had now manufactured considerable quantities of longbows, recurve bows, and some explosive packages. Dealing with a Small Tribe posed no problem.

“Remember, kill all the Warriors, only keep the ordinary people. The Flame Dragon Tribe only needs ordinary people.” Su Bai instructed carefully.

He was not foolish. Before the foundation was firmly established, he would not allow hidden dangers to exist within the Tribe.

If those Warriors remained alive in the Flame Dragon Tribe, it would not be beneficial to the Tribe. Instead, he would be leaving behind a danger that lurked around. They might take revenge or escape. A person with such intentions could easily stir up trouble.

Rather than worrying about this and assigning people to monitor them, it was more secure to simply cleanly remove them.

“Yes, Shaman. We know what to do,” Yue replied, equally serious.

She had already begun calculating the timeline in her mind. Before the rainy season arrived, they had approximately ten days.

“Bai Si, the task of collecting slaves from the Green Vine Tribe and Earth Tiger Tribe is entrusted to you. You two will operate separately,” Su Bai continued instructing.

“Understood. Once those two Tribes have the people prepared, we’ll collect them immediately. We’ll definitely complete this mission before the rainy season arrives,” Bai Si said confidently.

Su Bai blinked his black eyes thoughtfully, continuing: “You can take more Warriors along, just in case. Prevent those two Tribes from harbouring any ill intentions.”

“The Shaman can rest assured. When we returned, we deliberately arranged several people to watch over the slaves, to prevent them from contacting their Tribe.” Bai Si flicked her monkey tail, continuing. “Their every move is under our control. As long as we’re careful, nothing will go wrong.”

“Good. You’ve worked hard. Go down and rest first. Later, inform those imprisoned Warriors about the news,” Su Bai said softly.

“Yes.” Both Bai Si and Yue responded in unison.

*Step step step…*

After the two departed, Yan Hua asked curiously, “Shaman, I didn’t expect those two Tribes would actually agree. Aren’t Shaman Bone Tablets supposed to be the foundation of a Tribe?”

Tribes valued Shaman Bone Tablets greatly. A Tribe’s strength depended entirely on Shaman Bone Tablets. The Yan Hua had actually hoped for war to erupt against the Earth Tiger Tribe.

Some Tribes would even sacrifice their Chieftain and Warriors rather than lose a single Shaman Bone Tablet. Yet the Green Vine Tribe and Earth Tiger Tribe were quite generous.

Five Shaman Bone Tablets. They were almost equivalent to a Shaman spending five years of effort. Of course, this applied to Shamans whose Shaman Power was lacking.

Although Shaman Bone Tablets could provide excellent assistance to Warriors during hunting, they would not be used unless absolutely necessary. Their primary purpose was dealing with external enemies.

“If you had to choose, what would you choose?” Su Bai asked with a slight smile.

“If I had to choose, I’d probably surrender the Shaman Bone Tablets too. Perhaps the key issue isn’t the Warriors, but fear of the Flame Dragon Tribe.” Yan Hua spoke without much thought, though she said this because she understood the Flame Dragon Tribe’s strength.

“Only we ourselves know our Tribe’s true strength most clearly. So, we must make other Tribes’ people understand our strength.” Su Bai said, leaning back in his chair.

Yan Hua blinked her red eyes in confusion, asking. “Shaman, are we going to attack those two Tribes? But didn’t they already agree to compensate us?”

“No, we need to make them understand our strength. That doesn’t mean we’ll attack them,” Su Bai shook his head.

“I think we could target other Tribes, especially Tribes known far and wide.” Sha Lan’s clear voice rang out.

Yan Hua thought seriously for a moment, asking. “I know. The Dark Scorpion Tribe, correct?”

“Exactly. I plan to actively attack the Dark Scorpion Tribe after this year ends,” Su Bai said seriously. He did not want to continue foolishly waiting in the Tribe. Proactive attack was the way forward. Otherwise, with enemies in the shadows and him in the open, he would easily suffer losses.

Since the Dark Scorpion Tribe had sent so many people to investigate them, he knew they would not let this matter rest. They would definitely launch another offensive.

“Shaman, didn’t we stage a performance before? Are we attacking the Dark Scorpion Tribe so soon?” Yan Hua asked curiously.

“No rush. That was to make them lower their guard. We can actively prepare for battle during this time.”

Su Bai thought for a moment, continuing. “Besides, aren’t they still sending people to our Tribe? That will be the perfect opportunity.”

When the Dark Scorpion Tribe’s intelligence agents arrived, he had already planned this out.

“Shaman, then we need to quickly prepare more weapons. Otherwise, our equipment won’t be adequate,” Yan Hua said.

“Indeed. The Dark Scorpion Tribe’s advantage is their numbers. We must put more effort into our equipment.” Su Bai nodded thoughtfully.

He began calculating the next phase of his development strategy. Every step had to be carefully executed.
