I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 861, Such Strange Attire

*Caw caw caw…*

*Step step step…*

Following several bird calls, six Six Eyed Red Birds fell to the ground one after another.

Due to the Six Eyed Red Birds’ relatively large bodies, they made quite a bit of noise when they hit the ground.

They had not lost consciousness, but were completely unable to move, continuously letting out cries.

The other two Six Eyed Red Birds saw their companions collapse to the ground, completely unaware of what had happened.

Given the Six Eyed Red Birds’ nature, as expected, they all turned tail and fled, leaving only six companions lying paralysed on the ground.

“Now’s the time! The Six Eyed Red Birds won’t stay paralysed for long. We need to act quickly.” Ye Jiu leapt down from the tall tree.

*Rustle rustle rustle…* The other five also jumped down from the trees one after another, landing steadily beside the Six Eyed Red Birds.

They took out the Shaman Bone Tablets they’d already retrieved from their backpacks, gripping them tightly in their palms and pressing them against the Six Eyed Red Birds.

Then they activated their Totem Power to make the Shaman Bone Tablets take effect.

As blue rays of light began to shine forth, those blue rays formed tentacle-like shapes that began wrapping around the Six Eyed Red Birds. The entire process appeared particularly slow, but actually only took about three seconds.

The paralysis poison also happened to lose its effect at this moment, and the Six Eyed Red Birds began to stagger to their feet. However, at this point the blue light also began to quietly fade away, and the Shaman Bone Tablets shattered with a crack.

*Crack! Crack!*

“Let’s leave this place first.” Ye Jiu shouted, then everyone leapt away from their original positions.

Yan Hua and the others were all extremely anxious. No one knew whether these Taming Shaman Bone Tablets had actually worked.

The reason for immediately leaving the Six Eyed Red Birds was mainly to avoid being counter-attacked if the Shaman Bone Tablets had not worked.

*Caw caw caw…*

*Step step step…*

The Six Eyed Red Birds stood obediently in place without moving, and the cries they made were not as fierce as before.

Their sounds were very low and without any aggression. They kept turning in circles on the spot. Their thick, long legs kept trampling the fallen leaves and branches on the ground, producing quite a few crisp sounds.

Their current docile appearance was completely different from before. Although they had not been particularly aggressive before, they certainly had never been this gentle.

One had to know that the original Six Eyed Red Birds could make many Ferocious Beasts fearful, even causing them to turn and flee upon sight.

“It looks like we’ve succeeded. They’re actually standing still in place without leaving.” Yan Hua said, lowering her gaze to watch.

Sha Lan stood on the tree, constantly on tiptoe, her blue eyes also sizing up those Six Eyed Red Birds.

She pursed her lips, furrowed her brow, and muttered, “I think we should wait a bit longer. What if they’re just pretending?”

“That not likely. They just suffered an attack, and given the Six Eyed Red Birds’ nature, if they’re fine after being attacked, they would definitely immediately flee.” Ye Jiu was also observing, continuing, “Unless it’s an absolutely desperate situation, only then would they start to resist.”

“According to that logic, we can go down now.” Yue leapt down from the tree trunk with a bound.

*Whoosh whoosh whoosh…*

The others also jumped down from the branches one after another, walking towards the six motionless Six Eyed Red Birds.

*Caw caw caw…*

The six Six Eyed Red Birds saw Yan Hua and the others approaching. They didn’t dodge or launch an attack. Instead, they made very gentle calls, their feet unconsciously stepping in place.

It looked as though they were waiting for Yan Hua and the others to come over. They had clearly been tamed.

“Great! We succeeded! The Shaman’s Shaman Bone Tablets are truly amazing.” Yan Hua exclaimed with delight.

Yan Hua reached out to touch the Six Eyed Red Bird’s neck. The other party had no intention of avoiding it, and actually leant forward actively, then made a soft humming sound.

“With this, the Shaman’s mission is done.” Ye Jiu nodded with satisfaction.

This was her second encounter with Six Eyed Red Birds. The first time, she had directly slit the other’s throat.

“I want to ride on it right now and see if these Ferocious Beasts’ are really that fast.” Yan Hua was already somewhat impatient.

After stepping in place a few times, Yan Hua flipped up onto the Six Eyed Red Bird’s back.

“I want to try as well.” Sha Lan was equally eager, swishing her cat tail and also flipping up.

Ai’er, Yue, Bai Si and the others did the same, each controlling one Six Eyed Red Bird.

Due to the Six Eyed Red Birds’ particularly large size, when the girls sat on their backs, they really did look like cavalry units.

“Let’s go! Keep going straight ahead without stopping!” Yan Hua clamped her legs tightly around the Six Eyed Red Bird’s belly.

Yan Hua’s legs cleverly avoided the Six Eyed Red Bird’s wings. No, it should be said she had extended them directly inside the wings. She hugged its neck, ensuring she would not fall off when the Ferocious Beast started running.

*Step step step…*

*Caw caw caw…*

The other girls also followed suit. As running sounds and Six Eyed Red Bird calls rang out, everyone began to leave their original position.

“They are really fast. This feeling is too awesome!” Yan Hua shouted happily.

The feeling of advancing while sitting on a Six Eyed Red Bird’s back was completely different from the feeling of advancing while sitting in a carriage.

This feeling was more thrilling, while also carrying an element of danger. Carriages were relatively safer, after all they were enclosed, and your feet had somewhere to rest.

“Everyone hold on tight. Be careful not to fall off. At this speed, falling off would definitely injure you.” Ye Jiu called out loudly from behind.

Ye Jiu had to watch over the girls ahead as she shook her head. As expected, those two were still more energetic.

*Step step step…*

*Caw caw caw…*

As the Six Eyed Red Birds left their original position, a figure that had been hiding on a large tree now slowly revealed itself.

Ban Ye stared curiously in the direction the Six Eyed Red Birds had departed, murmuring to himself, “They… how did they manage to do that?”

The boy had originally come to the vicinity to forage for food. However, before he had even started looking for food, he felt someone approaching. So, he hastily found a large tree that could conceal him and hid. He dared not make any movement and dared not breathe too loudly either.

Ban Ye had originally planned to appear after those people left but unexpectedly witnessed that miraculous scene.

Those beautiful women had suddenly rushed out and, after using Shaman Bone Tablets, those Ferocious Beasts obediently listened.

He could not help but wonder which Tribe those people came from. What Shaman Bone Tablets had they used?

Moreover, some of the women’s clothing was particularly strange, while others were dressed particularly well.

Ban Ye bit his lip hard, thinking for a long time before muttering to himself, “Should I follow them and have a look?”
