I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 899, All Without News

Translator: Silavin

In the dense primitive forest, two intelligence agents kept walking towards the direction of the Flame Dragon Tribe.

Today was the agreed upon time, so the two had been rushing along quickly.

Ever since they saw Ga last time, the two had harboured doubts in their hearts. After all, there was a problem with poor information flow.

So, the two were not certain what Ga said was true, but seeing how confident the other party seemed and how actively she had invited them to go to the Tribes she had conquered, this naturally led to her words gaining some credibility.

In the end, they decided to go to the Flame Dragon Tribe to check the situation.

“Do you think it’s really alright for us not to go back to the Mountain Goat Tribe to report? If there really is a problem, it’ll be disastrous.” Bo worried as he advanced. The place they had been before was the Mountain Goat Tribe.

It should be said these two were from the Mountain Goat Tribe, but were often outside, because they had to collect information and transmit information between various Tribes.

And this Mountain Goat Tribe was subordinate to the Dark Scorpion Tribe, located about ten days away from the Flame Dragon Tribe.

It was a month away from the Dark Scorpion Tribe, which was why the two hadn’t received news from the Dark Scorpion Tribe yet.

“We don’t have that much time. If we go back to the Mountain Goat Tribe and then come to the Flame Dragon Tribe, it would take over a month,” Luc waved his hand.

The two naturally wanted to go back. After all, this was the caution of being intelligence agents.

But the two had also decided to trust Ga. After all, she was from the Main Tribe. If she really had taken down the Flame Dragon Tribe, they would not need to make a wasted trip back.

“That’s true. If things at the Flame Dragon Tribe are really as Ga said, we’ll have completed our mission,” Bu nodded.

“I don’t know when we’ll be assigned a Ferocious Beast. That way the time we transmit information would be much faster,” Luc said hopefully.

In terms of status, they were not that high up yet. Some intelligence agents had already been assigned Ferocious Beasts.

Intelligence agents with Ferocious Beasts move much faster, so transmitting information would be faster too.

“You’re thinking too much. Ferocious Beasts aren’t that easy to capture, and not all Ferocious Beasts are obedient.” Bu rolled his eyes and continued, “Apart from the Dark Scorpion Tribe, all our Tribes combined don’t even have five. How could they possibly be assigned to us?”

“That’s true. The Dark Scorpion Tribe only has three. It’s just that this way really wastes a lot of time for us.”

Luc shrugged and continued, “If not for poor information flow, we wouldn’t have not known the Main Tribe had already sent people out, which led us to continue foolishly collecting information on the Flame Dragon Tribe.”

“There’s no helping it. We’re intelligence agents after all. This is what we have to do.” Bu was very helpless and continued, “Last time we didn’t transmit useful information back, Li Ya must have been severely scolded. He’ll definitely scold us too. In the end, we’re the ones who suffer.”

“Forget it. If what we see when we get to the Flame Dragon Tribe this time is all true, we can also be credited for it,” Luc hoped to see good news.

“By the way, wasn’t the Flame Dragon Tribe very powerful? They immediately recaptured the places we had previously occupied, and even completely destroyed the Black Snake Tribe.” Bu frowned and continued in puzzlement, “They were already pushed to the brink by us but could counter-attack, and even killed the Black Snake Tribe. How could such a powerful Tribe be resolved just like that?”

“Have you forgotten? Both Ga and Gai were sent out. They are both top-tier Warriors of our Dark Scorpion Tribe. They’ve also helped take down many Tribes before.” Luc kept paying attention to the surrounding environment and continued, “So it’s not at all strange they could take down the Flame Dragon Tribe. This is also why I want to go have a look.”

“That’s true. If the news this time is real, we’ll quickly tell the people from the next Tribe and have them quickly transmit the information back.” Bu pushed aside the blocking tree branches and continued, “This way, even if we delayed so much time before, we won’t be scolded.”

“But I recently heard some news. I don’t know if it’s related to the Flame Dragon Tribe,” Luc suddenly said.

“What news? Is it about those Tribes around us?” Bo asked back.

“That’s right, that’s right. Suddenly there’s been no news from many of our usual sources. Suddenly many reporting lines have been cut. I don’t know if there’s a problem.” Luc nodded repeatedly.

“I’ve heard this news too. I have a friend I haven’t been able to contact for some time. It was never like this before.” Bo sighed and continued, “At the same time I was contacting many people from various Tribes. They’ve all lost contact too.”

“Same on my end, which is why I searched for so long. If I hadn’t seen you, we’d probably still be searching,” Luc thought about it and felt angry.

At first, he thought those intelligence agents were being dishonest and unwilling to transmit intelligence to him.

Or they had already transmitted the intelligence to someone else, and had excluded them.

“Could it be that those Tribes are facing some kind of problem? If it was only problems on my end, I could understand it as them being unwilling to transmit information to me.” Bo suddenly became serious and continued, “Now it’s the same on your end, which means these Tribes may have had some kind of accident.”

“Yes, it’s impossible to suddenly have no news. Could it be something the Flame Dragon Tribe did?” Luc asked.

“The information lines that were cut are very chaotic. Several Tribes under the Main Tribe all have problems. Now only the few Tribes we can still contact do not face such problems.”

Bo analysed seriously and continued, “The Flame Dragon Tribe probably couldn’t do such a thing. They don’t know these Tribes all belong to the Dark Scorpion Tribe.”

“Since you put it that way, could it be something done by other Large Tribes?” Luc asked curiously.

“That possibility can’t be ruled out. After we finish checking the Flame Dragon Tribe’s situation, we also need to report this information to the Main Tribe.”

Bo jumped onto high tree branches and continued, “Have the Main Tribe arrange people to investigate. This isn’t something we can deal with anymore.”

“Understood.” Luc also jumped onto the high tree branches.

They planned to advance through the trees, jumping between trees, because they had discovered some fresh Ferocious Beast droppings on the ground.

Clearly Ferocious Beasts were active in the area. To avoid unnecessary trouble and dangers in advance, they decided advancing through the trees was better.
