I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 874, Truly Brilliant

“That’s right, you’re the Patrol Department Leader. The entire Tribe’s patrols will depend on you to maintain them.” Su Bai nodded.

“Really?” Cang Shi was obviously very excited.

He had previously been the Hunting Team Leader and loved leading a group of people out to hunt.

This way he would have something to occupy his time, and the position also sounded very impressive.

Ever since he no longer needed to go hunting, although everyone still treated Cang Shi with great respect, he himself felt it was very different.

Now that he had become the Patrol Department Leader, mainly responsible for the entire Tribe’s patrols, he was naturally delighted.

It was as if he had returned to being the Hunting Team Leader.

“Not only do you need to patrol the areas enclosed by our wooden walls, but the entire area within the walls must be patrolled.” Su Bai responded very seriously.

This was not a simple job. After thinking it over carefully, he felt only Cang Shi was suitable.

First, his strength was considerable; being the Patrol Department Leader was more than enough for him.

Second, given his position in the Tribe, everyone would listen to him very much, making management even more convenient.

“So, it includes the forest area as well?” Cang Shi was already excited beyond measure.

This position was exclusively his. A brand new leadership position, and he would also manage the security issues of a vast area.

“That’s right. The areas you need to lead patrols through are not only our Tribe itself, but also the places here where no houses have been built, you must patrol those too.”

Su Bai knew the other party was very receptive to this approach and continued asking, “I wonder if our Patrol Department Leader can accomplish this?”

“Of course I can. Shaman, I will definitely protect the Tribe’s safety. Rest assured and leave it to me.” Cang Shi immediately patted his chest excitedly in gratitude.

Yan Jiao could not help but twitch the corners of his mouth. Although this position was indeed very good, the other party’s reaction was a bit too much.

“Sha Hong, I also have a special position arranged for you.” Su Bai turned to look at Sha Lan.

The reason he had called this meeting today was mainly to assign everyone their respective positions.

“Shaman, please go ahead.” Sha Hong’s standing posture had not changed at all. She had been standing very straight all along.

“Everyone should sit down first. This is just a normal meeting, there’s no need for everyone to stand.”

Su Bai looked at everyone standing and looking down at him, which felt rather strange, and continued, “You are one of only two Mid Grade Totem Warriors in the Tribe. I’m very confident in having you train the Totem Warriors.”

That was right, he planned to assign Sha Lan the identity of an instructor. In future, all the Tribe’s Totem Warriors would be taught by her.

“Shaman, does this mean my position won’t be much different from what I was doing before?” Sha Hong asked curiously.

Because the position she was being assigned now was what she had been doing previously, training Totem Warriors every day.

“You could say it’s the same, but also different. I plan to establish a department called the Special Forces Department.”

Su Bai’s expression was exceptionally serious as he continued, “The Special Forces Department will mainly encompass the Totem Warriors. They must have planned training every day.”

Currently in the Flame Dragon Tribe, everyone’s training was scattered and disorganised. Each veteran Totem Warrior had taken on several new Totem Warriors, plus some newly awakened Warrior Trainees.

This seemed somewhat chaotic, and these Warriors also had many things to be responsible for.

“Special Forces Department?” Sha Hong began thinking about this new term in her mind and continued asking, “Shaman, what work will each department mainly be responsible for? It shouldn’t just be training, right?”

“That’s correct. Some relatively severe missions, daily training, maintaining the Tribe’s safety, and so on.” Su Bai explained.

Because this department consisted only of Totem Warriors, those in the Special Forces Department were extremely strong.

“Understood. I will do well as its leader.” Sha Hong said with full confidence.

Hearing it this way made it much simpler, and it also felt particularly clear. She no longer needed to be responsible for patrol work.

“Besides this, you must also shoulder the heavy responsibility of preparing for next year’s Totem Awakening Ceremony, because the number of people who awaken represents whether your department can grow stronger.” Su Bai instructed.

“Yes, I will also set about selecting some talented Warrior Trainees to see if I can cultivate them in advance.” Sha Hong brushed her blue hair aside.

“Qing Yan, there’s also work exclusively for you.” Su Bai looked towards another high-ranking member.

Most of those currently sitting here for the meeting were formerly the Flame Dragon Tribe’s pillars of support, people who could have their say in the Tribe.

“Shaman, please assign me my work.” Qing Yan’s cyan eyes widened considerably.

“What I want you to do is become the Leader of the Police Department, and your subordinates will be the batch of soldiers trained this year.” Su Bai enunciated each word clearly.

“Shaman, hasn’t that batch of soldiers always been trained under Ah’Hua and the others? Now you want me to take over their training, is that right?” Qing Yan had never trained ordinary people before.

He was currently somewhat worried, worried that he might not control his strength properly, which would be bad if it led to these soldiers becoming injured or disabled.

“Just consolidate the basics with daily training. They can already completely stand on their own now. Their strength is equivalent to that of the Warrior Trainees.” Su Bai shook his head lightly and continued, “Your main duties will be maintaining order at the Central Market, security inspection work at the Tribe entrance; all of this will be done by Police Department soldiers.”

Because these were not particularly difficult jobs, if he still assigned Totem Warriors or Warrior Trainees to do such things, it would be somewhat wasteful of their skills.

If something really happened in future and he needed to deploy them as personnel, it would be somewhat troublesome. This was also why Su Bai wanted to integrate the entire Tribe’s system and finally divide it into three major systems.

The Special Forces Department would be specifically responsible for relatively arduous missions, such as repelling Ferocious Beasts attacking the Tribe or other Tribes eyeing the Flame Dragon Tribe covetously.

The Police Department would be responsible for daily security work as well as some issues of order within the Tribe.

As for the Patrol Department, it was also somewhat difficult because the area they were responsible for was relatively large, and walking around all day was quite exhausting.

The three departments corresponded to Totem Warriors, soldiers, and Warrior Trainees respectively. Su Bai wanted it to be exactly this clear.

“I see. Shaman’s allocation is truly brilliant.” Qing Yan was simply impressed beyond measure.

He had never imagined that a Tribe could be divided into three systems, and each system had its own respective work.

Truly worthy of being the Shaman, what he thought of was all things others couldn’t think of. No wonder he could lead the Tribe so well. This was what Qing Yan thought.

“I hope you three won’t disappoint me.” Su Bai said particularly seriously.

This was an arrangement he had thought over for an entire night last night. He felt this was relatively stable for now.

They would first implement it according to this format. If there were any problems later, they could make adjustments later.

“We absolutely will not disappoint you, Shaman.” The three said in unison.
