I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 857, I Can Learn Shaman Techniques Too

Su Bai conducted several more experimental Conversions with his Skill, targeting all the fruits in the fruit bowl.

As expected, every fruit reverted to its seed form, the entire process occurring within a single second.

He remained quite satisfied with this Conversion speed. Initially, he’d anticipated a considerably longer duration.

“Shaman, how did you learn this Shaman Technique? How did you master it in such a short time?” Yu Ying’s curiosity lingered, unable to settle.

Each time she recalled the Chieftain’s words, Father’s observations, and now witnessed this phenomenon directly, she found it increasingly implausible. This completely contradicted her previous understanding.

“This is probably just talent. Your Father mentioned before that many people possess natural aptitude, didn’t he?” Su Bai countered.

He preferred not to mention his unconscious acquisition of Skills, nor to describe the process as particularly simple. Such claims would seem excessively fabricated. His only option was to package himself as naturally gifted.

“There are such people, but Shaman is the first with such exceptional talent.” Yu Ying nodded thoughtfully.

She had certainly heard of individuals with aptitude for learning Shaman Techniques, but even the most talented required several years minimum. Shaman’s ability to master techniques simply by waking from sleep was unprecedented, truly awe inspiring.

“Perhaps I’m simply among the most talented of the talented!” Su Bai joked, attempting to deflect.

Yu Ying’s limited knowledge in this area meant she’d likely trust his explanation.

“That makes sense. Shaman became a Shaman so young, naturally you must be exceptionally talented.” Yu Ying nodded repeatedly.

She remained relatively innocent, believing this explanation without question. After all, she had witnessed it directly.

Though she had frequently heard others describe Shaman Techniques as extraordinarily difficult to master, she’d never personally experienced or observed the process, leaving her without definitive concepts of how it worked.

“Bring me a seed.” Su Bai instructed.

He wanted to test whether using the Skill on seed would produce any changes.

“Yes.” Yu Ying turned towards the kitchen immediately.

Su Bai received the seed, gripping it tightly in his palm while deploying his Skill.

As pale grey light faded, the result was predictable. The seed remained unchanged.

“Shaman, did the Shaman Technique fail? Why isn’t there any change?” Yu Ying pouted questioningly.

“No, I simply wanted to experiment whether this Shaman Technique possessed additional possibilities.” Su Bai explained calmly.

He retrieved a seed previously transformed from fruit, placing it in his palm and deploying the Conversion Skill again.

Pale grey light flickered once more. Su Bai slowly opened his hands, revealing a fruit manifested in his palm.

He weighed the fruit, satisfied. “As expected. After transforming fruit to seed, the seed can revert to fruit.”

Su Bai simply wanted to test the possibility. After all, transforming fruit to seed altered the fruit’s form, which aligned with the Conversion Skill’s parameters.

“Shaman, it’s reverted to its original form. How miraculous.”

Yu Ying’s pink eyes widened instantly, continuously examining the re-transformed fruit.

Her internal thoughts transcended description, her expression and bewildered gestures perfectly displaying her astonishment.

“Being able to revert objects transformed by the Skill creates numerous possibilities.” Su Bai remarked, satisfied.

He had designed this experiment specifically to assist future development of the Tribe.

“Shaman, can your Shaman Technique continuously transform fruit to seed, then seed back to fruit?” Yu Ying suppressed curiosity while biting into the fruit.

She wanted to taste fruit subjected to Shaman Techniques. After several chews, she detected no difference.

“Hahaha.” Su Bai laughed at her adorable action. “As long as the fruit exists, Conversions can continue indefinitely.”

“Ah! I want to learn Shaman Techniques too.” Yu Ying pouted enviously.

Previously, she had not particularly desired this. But witnessing Su Bai’s Skills awakened her interest in learning such miraculous Shaman Techniques.

“That’s not impossible. Once I discover the method, I’ll teach you.” Su Bai nodded generously.

He felt unsurprised by her interest in learning Shaman Techniques. After all, within less than a year, he had demonstrated numerous Skills.

Though these Skills were Skills obtained from the System rather than authentic Shaman Techniques, to Yu Ying, these Skills were undeniably Shaman Techniques.

Su Bai had previously considered teaching Yu Ying these Skills. But he just lacked the method to pass it down. The System was bound exclusively to him, Skills obtained from the System became his automatically.

Su Bai had naturally asked the System whether he could transfer possessed Skills to others or enable others to learn these Skills. The System’s answer remained consistently negative.

“Shaman, are you really going to teach me?” Yu Ying stopped eating immediately.

She had only spoken out of envy, never genuinely believing she could learn Shaman Techniques.

After all, these were Shaman Techniques. She was merely a Shaman Priestess.

Moreover, learning Shaman Techniques required extraordinarily extended periods—possibly years or decades she lacked patience for.

“Naturally. Once I have the method, I’ll teach you immediately.” Su Bai responded earnestly.

Observing her expression revealed her unexpected surprise at his answer.

“Shaman, but I’m so foolish. Learning Shaman Techniques won’t be as quick as you.” Yu Ying scratched her head awkwardly.

“You’re not foolish at all. Don’t worry. Besides, I’m here.” Su Bai also bit into fruit.

“Wonderful! I can learn Shaman Techniques one day!” Yu Ying’s happiness manifested through her continuously swaying pink fox tail.

“Keep this a secret. Don’t tell anyone. At least until matters are settled.” Su Bai cautioned.

He did not want her accidentally revealing this from momentary excitement, potentially causing dissatisfaction within the Tribe. At least until the Tribe developed sufficient strength, he would much like to avoid unnecessary complications.

“I understand, Shaman.” Yu Ying nodded earnestly.
