I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 881, You Can Tell the Truth, Right?

“Has Shaman sent you any messages recently?” Ga did not directly answer their question.

She wanted to probe and see if these intelligence agents knew any information. This way she could plan on what she would say next, otherwise if the stories did not match up, she might get exposed.

“No messages have been transmitted to us, only the information sent to us over thirty days ago.” The intelligence agent thought carefully, then continued. “It said we should investigate the Flame Dragon Tribe’s secrets, but we did not know where the Flame Dragon Tribe was located before. We have already asked many people from various Tribes, and now we have learned the approximate location of the Flame Dragon Tribe.”

Another intelligence agent stepped forward, continuing: “We planned to go find this Tribe tomorrow, then infiltrate to gather information.”

“So the Shaman has been waiting for your messages to be transmitted back, correct?” Ga breathed a sigh of relief.

Fortunately, this group did not know that the Shaman had already arranged for people to attack the Flame Dragon Tribe.

As expected, such slow information transmission had its drawbacks. The Dark Scorpion Tribe had already made new arrangements, but these intelligence agents still knew nothing.

“Yes, because we have not yet found the Flame Dragon Tribe, we have not transmitted the message to Li Ya.” The intelligence agent said.

The last time Li Ya transmitted a message to them, it was to have them investigate the reason for Black Snake Tribe’s annihilation. Among the priorities was a focus on investigating the Flame Dragon Tribe, specifically the Flame Dragon Tribe’s location, the Tribe’s size, combat strength, and so on.

However, this task came after Feng and Zhu had failed to send back messages. It was just that those two people’s response was very slow. This caused Dark Scorpion Tribe’s Shaman to lose patience, which was why Ga and her Brother were arranged to come out and execute the mission.

“Just transmit the message back directly. We have already taken down the Flame Dragon Tribe.” Ga put on a serious expression, continuing coldly. “Waiting for you to investigate information would take too long. If you continue being this lax in the future, I fear you will not need to continue serving the Shaman.”

She was extremely grateful the other party still did not know, this way she could continue arranging for the next plan of action.

“Y-You just said you have already taken down the Flame Dragon Tribe?” The intelligence agent’s eyes widened in great confusion.

He had clearly been searching for many days without finding it, and now that he finally found the general direction, the information he received was that the Flame Dragon Tribe had already been taken down?

“Wait, was your mission this time to take down the Flame Dragon Tribe? But the Shaman has not yet received our messages.” Another intelligence agent was somewhat suspicious, continuing. “Without our intelligence… the Shaman should not have dispatched you.”

The intelligence agents were not fools. Although they were just information gathering personnel, they still had basic logic.

Having continuously worked for the Dark Scorpion Tribe, they understood the Shaman’s temperament to some degree.

They knew that if the Shaman did not have sufficient intelligence, there was absolutely no way an attack on a Tribe would be launched. This was also why the Dark Scorpion Tribe had continuously grown stronger, because they never fought battles without certainty of success.

“If you do not believe it, you can come with me to the Flame Dragon Tribe to see. It is because Li Ya had subordinates like you that he nearly got killed.” Ga’s face remained cold, continuing seriously. “It is because of your inadequate abilities that Zhu and Feng died miserably…”

She deliberately blamed the deaths of the two people who came to investigate last time on these two. She also changed the reasoning somewhat, saying the Shaman had already known the information in advance, which was why she was dispatched to attack the Flame Dragon Tribe.

The result was predictable. The Dark Scorpion Tribe was naturally victorious. After the victory, the message naturally had to be transmitted back to the Tribe, which was why a marker was made here.

“This… did Feng and Zhu really both die?” One intelligence agent’s resolve began to waver.

“You know their abilities. When have they ever returned empty-handed when gathering intelligence? Also, how long have you lost contact?” Ga, who normally spoke very little, now spoke much more. “If you had not constantly failed to send back messages, would they need to come out themselves to investigate?”

“We understand. What punishment will the Shaman impose on us?” One intelligence agent spoke with apparent nonchalance, but his heart was extremely frightened.

“Shaman originally wanted me to execute you directly, then find new intelligence agents to transmit the message back.” Ga crossed her arms in front of her chest, continuing: “But after I went to the Flame Dragon Tribe, I learned that this Tribe was actually really difficult to find.”

“Yes, yes, the Flame Dragon Tribe is truly too difficult to find. If someone had not mentioned that the Flame Dragon Tribe opened a Central Market, we really could not have found it.” Both intelligence agents nodded simultaneously, grateful the scorpion girl had said this so they had some kind of excuse, otherwise it would have been truly terrible.

“I am not an unreasonable person. You know this.” Ga was known in the Tribe for not liking to speak. Everyone knew this. She composed her emotions, continuing. “Now there is an opportunity for you two. Both of you must do it well.”

Hearing there was a new remedial method, the intelligence agents nodded their heads like beating drums. They immediately stood straight, saying seriously, “Of course, we will listen to whatever you say, and we will definitely bring the intelligence back.”

“In a moment you can return with me to the Flame Dragon Tribe to see. This way the intelligence’s authenticity can be ensured.” Ga played with her green hair, continuing coldly, “You just need to bring back what you see and hear. You can tell the truth, right?”

This was what Su Bai had her say. There was no need to have the intelligence agents tell the Dark Scorpion Tribe too much. Letting them see the scene directly was most convincing.

Otherwise, the two intelligence agents would not know what to say when they returned, which would instead arouse the Dark Scorpion Tribe’s suspicion.

But once the two people truly saw the Flame Dragon Tribe’s current state, they would have much more to say and describe when they returned. This way, their words would have higher authenticity. The Dark Scorpion Tribe would naturally believe it without doubt.

“Yes, you are right.” The intelligence agents nodded frantically once again.

The huge weight hanging over their hearts was suddenly lifted. They thought they still had time to resolve this problem.

They had not expected the Tribe had already dispatched an army, and had already taken down the Flame Dragon Tribe.

Originally the two had been waiting to be punished. No, waiting to be directly executed. They had even considered running away. Fortunately, there was still a chance to make amends, otherwise even if they ran they would be hunted down.

“Since you know where the Flame Dragon Tribe is located, then you should depart now.” Ga turned around, continuing. “I still have some other mission to execute, so I will not travel with you.”

“Yes, Madam, please take care.” The intelligence agent said respectfully.

“Meet at the Flame Dragon Tribe’s gate in two days.” Ga turned and jumped onto a tree.

*Step step step…*

The intelligence agents watched the scorpion girl’s strange departing figure, breathing a sigh of relief. “Ga still gives others a great feeling of oppression.”

“But this is already very good. She at least spared our lives…” The other intelligence agent had already collapsed weakly on the ground.

“Yeah…” The first intelligence agent also sat down.

Both people were now very weak, and felt their hearts beating extremely fast.
