I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 876, The Short Legged Leopard Without Face

*Rustle rustle…*

Ban Ye was running rapidly through the jungle, sometimes swinging on vines, sometimes leaping across rocks. There was no other reason than he had been targeted by a Ferocious Beast again and was currently fleeing.

With his build. Which was not particularly large, he was the target of many Ferocious Beasts in the forest.

His leaping up and down made Ferocious Beasts feel this creature was very lively, and its flesh would certainly be quite tender.

Naturally, Ferocious Beasts possessed a bit of intelligence and would similarly select suitable prey for hunting, avoiding those that did not taste good and targeting those they felt was delicious.

Just like Ban Ye, Ferocious Beasts would feel he had more vitality compared to ordinary animals. They would see that he had no illnesses, and eating him would not cause them any problems.

This was also why he would be hunted by Ferocious Beasts every few days in the forest.

*Step step step…*

“Damn it! Why do they always target me!? I don’t even have much meat on me.” Ban Ye said through gritted teeth. He was truly extremely annoyed now. If he hadn’t eaten two wild rabbits this morning, he probably wouldn’t have the stamina now.

Ever since Yan Hua and the others left riding the Six Eyed Red Birds last time, he had relied on his extraordinarily keen sense of smell to track them all the way.

However, because the other party’s running speed was simply too fast, two days had already passed and he still had not caught up with them.

Ban Ye had several Six Eyed Red Bird feathers inserted at his waist. The reason for keeping them was precisely to track their scent.

But who knew that before finding the other party’s exact location, he would be chased by Ferocious Beasts again.

*Roar roar roar…*

A tremendous roaring sound rang out. An enormous Short Legged Leopard charged forth, gathering strength and leaping upward.

Ban Ye wasn’t someone who would wait for death either. When the Short Legged Leopard bit towards him, he stepped on the other party’s head and flipped away in another somersault.

He grabbed a vine hanging down from a tree and jumped to another tree, just like Tarzan continuously advancing.

Ban Ye didn’t dare rest even slightly, because the Short Legged Leopard simply wouldn’t stop until it caught its prey.

This was also why it had been chasing him for over half an hour. Don’t underestimate the Short Legged Leopard’s short legs. Its explosive power and running speed were to be wary of.

*Roar roar roar…*

“I’m truly impressed. However, the scent is just ahead not far away. That should be their Tribe, right?” Ban Ye muttered to himself.

Although he was fleeing for his life, he was still constantly working hard to identify directions, thinking that since he was running anyway, he might as well run towards his destination.

Ban Ye was already accustomed to being chased by Ferocious Beasts. It happened once every day or two anyway. If not for relying on his perception of his surroundings and his agile physical capabilities, he would have died in the jaws of a Ferocious Beast long ago.

*Roar roar roar…* The Short Legged Leopard attacked once more, but Ban Ye evaded it again.

However, this time was different; he used the vine to loop around the Short Legged Leopard’s neck and flipped onto the Short Legged Leopard’s back.

Ban Ye’s current posture was just like riding a horse, his legs forcefully clamping the Short Legged Leopard’s abdomen.

The vine in his hands consisted of four or five strands twisted together, so its toughness was extremely strong. As long as the Short Legged Leopard didn’t bite it, it almost wouldn’t break.

Ban Ye had collected these vines while fleeing, because he thought continuing to run indefinitely wasn’t a solution.

And the spear in his hands had already been thrown away. Or rather, not exactly thrown away. It had been hurled at another Ferocious Beast last time when dealing with it.

*Roar roar roar…* The Short Legged Leopard constantly struggled with all its might. How could a feline allow someone to ride on its back?

Moreover, the Short Legged Leopard’s size was extremely large. Its body length reached over two metres, and its height was also around one metre.

One could imagine what degree the Short Legged Leopard’s legs being very short yet its height still reaching around one metre represented.

“Behave yourself, or I’ll strangle you to death!” Ban Ye forcefully tugged the vine in his hands.

He did not want to directly end the other party’s life. Instead, he found this very interesting.

Because Ban Ye felt victory was now in his grasp, there was also no need to directly strangle this Short Legged Leopard to death. Instead, he even wanted to befriend it.

Ban Ye had taken a fancy to the Short Legged Leopard’s speed. Otherwise, relying on himself to advance, who knew how many days it would take.

But the Short Legged Leopard’s advancing speed was extremely fast. Sometimes distances of three or four hours only required one hour for it.

*Roar roar roar…* The Short Legged Leopard was still struggling with all its might, trying to throw the person on its back onto the ground. As a dignified Ferocious Beast, it absolutely would not tolerate being reduced to this threatened state.

The Short Legged Leopard kept roaring. Its gaping maw constantly tried to bite towards the vine, but each time it exerted force to bite, it came up empty.

“I already told you to behave.” Ban Ye forcefully twisted his wrists, and the vine instantly became even tighter.

*Roar roar roar…*

The Short Legged Leopard’s previous roaring sounds immediately turned into wailing sounds. It felt somewhat unable to breathe.

“I told you to behave, didn’t I?” Ban Ye had no intention whatsoever of loosening up for the Short Legged Leopard.

The Short Legged Leopard had no solution either. Who told the person on its back to clamp so tightly? His legs were just like pincers unwilling to release.

Not to mention the vine around its neck. If slightly more force was applied, it would completely be unable to breathe.

The Short Legged Leopard submitted. It slowly lay on the ground, no longer twisting its body or emitting roaring sounds. It never imagined that the prey it had selected would ultimately subdue it instead. If other Ferocious Beasts knew about this, it would definitely be extremely shameful.

“I already told you not to move. Get up and keep running straight ahead in that direction.” Ban Ye absolutely would not loosen the vine.

He knew Ferocious Beasts were all cunning. Submitting now did not mean it would still submit after loosening the vine.

He only relaxed slightly, not letting the other party’s breathing be too difficult, then controlled the other party to run towards the direction he wanted.

*Roar roar roar…*

The Short Legged Leopard had no choice either. It could only obediently stand up and run towards the designated direction.

Its four short legs ran particularly powerfully. Even with a person sitting on its back, it wasn’t affected in the slightest.

One person and one leopard rapidly ran towards the Flame Dragon Tribe’s direction. During this time, quite a few Ferocious Beasts poked their heads out and, upon seeing this situation, retreated.

They didn’t know what the current situation was. Why was a Ferocious Beast being controlled by a Human like this?

Ban Ye was naturally sitting on the Ferocious Beast’s back laughing heartily, feeling this sensation was absolutely wonderful.

He could also understand what those young women felt that day riding the Six Eyed Red Birds. His single-minded desire was just to visit that Tribe.

But the Short Legged Leopard didn’t think this way. It felt extremely humiliated right now. Baring its fangs and snarling would actually be even more embarrassing…

*Step step step…*

*Roar roar roar…*
