I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 900, Status Can Rise

Translator: Silavin

The Sun slowly rose. The lush primitive forest welcomed a new day, and the Ferocious Beasts that moved at night quietly withdrew.

Bo and Luc also opened their eyes, tidied their clothing, ate a simple breakfast, and continued on their way.

Last night they were delayed by something. They should have arrived at the Flame Dragon Tribe yesterday.

But it was not a big problem. After all, they hadn’t been late for the agreed upon meeting time.

“We can’t delay any more today. If we don’t arrive today, Ga will think we are not going.” Bo couldn’t help shivering at this thought and continued, “Then our days ahead won’t be horrendous. She is famously terrifying.”

They did not understand much about Ga, only knew she was famously terrifying in the Dark Scorpion Tribe, with a mission success rate that could be said to be perfect.

Especially her Younger Brother, who was equally famously terrifying. They dare not fail to arrive within the agreed upon time.

“I naturally know this. Can’t you see I’m constantly rushing along? Better not talk so much.” Luc sped up his advance again. Besides worrying about being targeted by Ferocious Beasts in the forest, he also worried about being late.

Even if they had doubts about the success of this mission, they dare not miss the time set with Ga.

“Good that you know.” Bo also stopped talking.

The two kept their heads down and rushed along. Even when lunchtime arrived, the two didn’t stop to eat lunch.

After all, they’d never been to the Flame Dragon Tribe and didn’t know exactly how long they needed to travel.

They had only heard about news regarding the Flame Dragon Tribe, so now they could only rush desperately.

As time passed second by second, the two had already begun getting closer and closer to the Flame Dragon Tribe.

However, where they had reached now was still the outer region of the Flame Dragon Tribe, the outer region being the place where the city walls were under construction.

The two stopped rushing and stood watching those people constructing the city walls.

“What are they doing?” Bo asked curiously.

Because it was sealed off here, the two couldn’t get very close and could only observe from far away.

“I don’t know either. I can only see they seem to be holding stones in their hands. I can’t see anything else.”

Luc shrugged, squinting his eyes to look into the distance. He saw them standing on a high wall.

And that wall seemed to be constructed from stones. This scene left both of them feeling very shocked.

“Could they be building a stone wall? How is this possible?” Bo said in shock.

“There aren’t any Tribes nearby. Could it be the Flame Dragon Tribe? But looking around, there’s no one.”

Luc frowned and continued, “What are they building this wall for in the great forest?”

The two could not linger for too long, because the Flame Dragon Tribe constantly had people patrolling the surroundings.

Noticing the two, those patrolling quickly drove them away. If they hadn’t heard they were intelligence agents from the Dark Scorpion Tribe, they would probably have been captured on the spot.

Fortunately, people from the Special Forces Department had all received orders from Sha Hong. That is, if they saw intelligence agents related to the Dark Scorpion Tribe these two days.

They must be very respectful to them and guide them to the direction of the Flame Dragon Tribe.

“Did you just see? The Flame Dragon Tribe’s Totem Warriors were very polite to us.” Bo couldn’t believe what he saw. Originally, he did not want to say he was an intelligence agent. After all, sometimes revealing one’s identity was a very dangerous thing, especially when they were not certain whether the Flame Dragon Tribe truly belonged to the Dark Scorpion Tribe.

But in the end there was no choice, because seeing the Flame Dragon Tribe’s Totem Warriors were all very strong, they did not want to die here.

So, they could only try their luck. Unexpectedly, it actually let them leave directly.

“Never mind that for now. What’s important is that stone wall they’re building. If it’s really made of stone, it could probably resist many Ferocious Beasts.”

Luc was still immersed in the shock of that stone wall he had just seen. That feeling of shock still lingered.

Of course, because the route the two were advancing on wasn’t heading straight towards the Flame Dragon Tribe.

Their route of advance was along the direction of one of the city walls. So, the city wall they encountered was one of the front-facing walls of the Flame Dragon Tribe.

Su Bai did not want to enclose the Flame Dragon Tribe so quickly, so he kept extending the walls on both sides forward.

He thought if he reached a degree he was satisfied with, then he would enclose it. That way he could save quite a bit of effort, at least not having to enclose it then demolish it again.

“Wait until we see Ga to ask clearly. Ask about what’s going on with that wall,” Bo was equally shocked.

When the two were just warned by the Flame Dragon Tribe’s Totem Warriors, besides revealing their identities, they also enquired about that wall.

The Flame Dragon Tribe’s Warriors did not hold back. Although they knew they had to cooperate with the act, they would not reveal the Flame Dragon Tribe’s secrets.

They just casually made up an excuse to fob them off, then quickly had them hurry to the Tribe.

They could not handle this matter much more than this, so could only have the Tribe’s Shaman deal with it.

“We must record this matter and tell the Shaman when we return. Perhaps our status can rise.” Luc couldn’t help feeling secretly pleased.

“This trip wasn’t in vain. We haven’t even reached the Tribe entrance yet and already saw such a shocking thing.” Bo also felt he had something to report.

The intelligence they transmitted back before was always neither here nor there, or else overlapped with other intelligence agents’ intelligence.

Now this intelligence was unique to them. If they could get the Dark Scorpion Tribe’s people to verify this news was true, their status would definitely improve.

“I don’t know if that wall is for blocking Ferocious Beasts. If so, why build it so far away?”

Luc still could not help thinking about it and continued, “No matter what, it should be built near the Tribe. Did you hear that just now?”

“Of course I know. Our current position is still some distance from the Flame Dragon Tribe, so we need to hurry.”

Bo looked up at the sky and asked, “You don’t want to continue living in the wilderness today either, right?”

“Living in the wilderness is still a minor matter. It’s just that missing today’s agreed upon time, no matter how much intelligence we have, it’s useless.”

Luc shivered again and continued, “When we can strive for credit is today. Let’s go quickly.”

“Exactly.” Bo followed close behind.
