Chapter 46 -46: You’d Better Beg Me on Your Knees

After he left, Fang Rujing felt sleepy and lay down on the bed to sleep.

As for Huang Wude, after returning to his department, he was just about to follow Lin Dong’s instructions and issue an apology letter.

However, at that moment, he saw some messages in the chat group.

This group consisted of some wealthy people from Jianghai.

At that time, they were discussing something.

“Do you guys know? Lin Hu had an accident? He died!”

Upon seeing this message, Huang Wude was stunned and quickly asked, “Is that true or not?”

“Of course, it’s true. I’ve got insider information. People from the Black Dragon Society revealed it; he just died not long ago.”

After seeing this message, Huang Wude’s expression immediately changed.

“Lin Hu is already dead, why should I be afraid of that kid?” Huang Wude decided not to send the apology letter anymore.

Instead, he planned to return to Mayor Fang’s special care ward.

To ‘teach Lin Dong a lesson’ there!

However, upon arriving at the door to Fang Rujing’s sickroom, the First Lady of the city, Liu Yun, thanked him profusely:

“Director Huang, thank you for recommending that person. He has cured the Mayor’s sickness.”

“What?” Upon hearing this, Huang Wude was dumbfounded.

In such a short period, had Lin Dong already cured Mayor Fang’s sickness?

Could his medical arts really be that incredible?

At that moment, he hesitated before saying, “First Lady of the city, there’s something I’m not sure if I should say or not!”

“What is it?” Liu Yun, curious, hurriedly asked.

“Actually, that kid’s treatment is only initially effective. In fact, it doesn’t cure the root cause. You know about Lin Hu, right? He had a brain tumor, and it was him who was asked to treat it. It seemed cured at the time, but not long after, Lin Hu died,” Huang Wude said.

“Ah, Lin Hu is dead?” She had just received this news as well.

Being the First Lady of the city, she definitely knew about Lin Hu. She quickly made inquiries.

Using some connections, she confirmed it was true.

Her face turned pale immediately, “Does this mean the Mayor’s sickness hasn’t been completely cured?”

“Yes, that kid is completely a scammer!” Huang Wude nodded.

Liu Yun’s face panicked, and she reprimanded quickly, “Director Huang, why didn’t you tell me sooner? What should we do now? The Mayor won’t end up like Lin Hu, will he?”

Huang Wude awkwardly responded, “First Lady of the city, you can’t blame me. I was also deceived by him, and I just found out about Lin Hu’s death.”

“What should we do now?” Liu Yun was very anxious and also angry, “Right now, the Mayor still has needles in him, we need to pull them out quickly!”

Having said that, she hurried into the room.

Huang Wude followed her in and found Mayor Fang sleeping very comfortably.

As for the medical equipment, all the readings surprisingly were normal, which left him unexpectedly uncertain of how Lin Dong had achieved this.

Huang Wude continued, “We still need to use Western medicine for the treatment. I can make a phone call to invite my instructor from overseas to come and do the ‘Flying Blade.’ He can be here in half a day!”

The so-called “Flying Blade” is a professional term among doctors, meaning to invite an awesome doctor to take an airplane and perform surgery.

Seeing this, Liu Yun didn’t hesitate any longer.

Having a foreign expert to perform the “Flying Blade” could surely cure the Mayor.

As for Lin Dong, she had never trusted him from the start.

“These needles in the body look painful…”

Liu Yun murmured and, taking it upon herself, pulled the needles from Mayor Fang’s body while he was still asleep.

“Beep beep beep~~~~”

The moment she had just removed the needles, the medical equipment instantly emitted a severe alarm sound.

All the readings showed abnormalities.

As for Mayor Fang, who had been sleeping, he instantly fell back into unconsciousness.

“What… What’s happening?” Liu Yun was startled and quickly asked.

Huang Wude was clueless too. Being unfamiliar with Traditional Chinese Medicine, he didn’t know that removing the needles could lead to such severity.

However, judging by the medical equipment’s data, it didn’t look good; it seemed as if the person could pass away at any moment.

But he wasn’t panicked and said, “Madam, it’s okay. I’m going to contact my instructor overseas immediately, so he can come and do the ‘Flying Blade’!”

“Alright, hurry up.” With the so-called foreign expert around, Liu Yun was no longer panicking.

At this moment, Qiao Bing just happened to return with Lin Dong.

Qiao Bing had helped Lin Dong and had made arrangements with the HR Department.

With guarantees from Mayor Fang and Qiao Bing, academic qualifications were no longer an issue.

They agreed to hire Lin Dong at the hospital right away.

Of course, even with their endorsement, the process still had to be followed step by step.

For now, he could only start as an intern!

His performance would be assessed, and if it was good, he could become a regular worker within three months.

Just as he came in, Qiao Bing was discussing this matter with the First Lady of the city, Liu Yun.

However, the First Lady of the city Liu Yun coldly said:

“Your hospital can’t hire him, because he is not fit to be a doctor!”

Qiao Bing was puzzled by Liu Yun’s statement. Hadn’t everything been fine just now? Why had she changed her mind so soon?

Lin Dong then looked towards Mayor Fang.

Immediately, his expression darkened and he spoke sternly:

“Who removed the Silver Needles from Mayor Fang’s body? Didn’t I say they shouldn’t be removed?”

No sooner had he spoken than Liu Yun coldly scoffed:

“I removed them. Don’t think I don’t know that your treatment is only superficial and doesn’t address the root of the problem. It looks like you’ve cured it, but in reality, it’s useless!”

Huang Wude also nodded repeatedly and started lecturing Qiao Bing:

“Director Qiao, you really have quite the nerve. He has only a high school diploma, and you dared to vouch for him and hire him. Aren’t you afraid of an accident happening?”

Qiao Bing was taken aback and hurriedly said, “I’ve witnessed his medical arts myself. Just now, the First Lady of the city, you saw it too. Lin Dong has already cured the Mayor! Why would you remove the needles?”

“Director Qiao, you have been deceived by him. His so-called medical arts are actually witchcraft…” Huang Wude said, “The Mayor just woke up, and it was probably just a temporary improvement.”

Liu Yun trusted Huang Wude more and firmly believed that Lin Dong had only temporarily cured the illness.

Without removing the needles, in a few days, the Mayor would end up dead like Lin Hu!

Only with Western medicine could they completely cure the Mayor!

Qiao Bing was exasperated: “I’m so frustrated with you all. The man was cured, and you went and removed the needles, which made the Mayor sick again. How can there be people like you!”

“Hurry and ask Lin Dong to treat him one more time; otherwise, the Mayor doesn’t stand a chance!”

Lin Dong also spoke gravely: “If you keep removing the needles like this, the Mayor won’t live till tomorrow! Unless I intervene again…”

“Don’t even think about deceiving me again, I’m not that stupid! And you, this scammer, you can go to prison!” Liu Yun sneered dismissively, commanding the people behind her to arrest Lin Dong.

Seeing this, Lin Dong replied coldly, “First Lady of the city, if you want your husband to survive, and you want to ask me to treat him again, then you’d better kneel down and beg me!”
