Chapter 43: Chapter 43 Your Dad Has Knelt Down to Me!

Chapter 43 -43 Your Dad Has Knelt Down to Me!

“What nonsense are you spouting here? You think you can cure Mayor Fang? Who do you think you are? Even our Director can’t do it, and you think you can?” Wang Meimei was the first one to speak up.

She rolled her eyes immediately!

Bystander Huang Hua also snorted coldly and said, “Boastful!”

As for Liu Yun, the First Lady of the city, she aggressively asked, “Which School did you graduate from? And where have you worked before?”

“What position?”

Lin Dong replied, “I didn’t graduate from a Medical School. What I learned is Traditional Chinese Folk Medicine.”

“So, you’re saying you didn’t even attend university?” Liu Yun’s face grew uglier. A person who hadn’t even been to Medical School dared to claim they could cure sickness?

Where was his confidence coming from?

Lin Dong nodded, “I didn’t attend university, but I can treat Mayor Fang’s condition.”

Huang Hua couldn’t help but interrupt, “Don’t believe in Traditional Chinese Medicine, First Lady! Traditional Chinese Medicine is witchcraft, totally unscientific. Not only does it not cure diseases, but it can also take lives!”

Hearing this, Lin Dong’s eyes grew colder. Why did so many people think Chinese medicine was witchcraft?

Traditional Chinese Medicine had been handed down for thousands of years. Our ancestors used it to treat countless people. Why had it become something that took lives in the eyes of some people?

Lin Dong was angry and said to Huang Hua:

“The last person who spoke about Chinese medicine like you did, just shortly before, knelt before me and admitted that Chinese medicine could cure diseases. Oh, right, he was also a doctor from your hospital. Seems like some Neurosurgery Expert…”

“What’s his name… I remember now, his name is Huang Wude!”

“You’re full of shit!!!” Just as Lin Dong finished his sentence, Huang Hua immediately got agitated and sprang up.

That Huang Wude was his dad!

Both he and his father staunchly believed that Chinese medicine was witchcraft and took people’s lives.

However, now Lin Dong was saying his father knelt before him, admitting that Chinese medicine could cure diseases. Wasn’t that nonsense?

Lin Dong didn’t know the relationship between Huang Wude and Huang Hua. Seeing his agitation made Lin Dong a bit surprised.

“What I said is true. If you don’t believe me, you can bring Huang Wude here to confront me. Oh, and he also promised me that he would write an article apologizing to the field of Chinese medicine when he got back,” Lin Dong recalled the matter.

Huang Hua was jumping in anger, naturally not believing a word Lin Dong said.

Who was his father? How could he possibly admit that Chinese medicine could cure diseases!

Kneeling before him? Who did Lin Dong think he was?

Qiao Bing also shook his head, finding Lin Dong’s words unreliable.

He hadn’t even been to Medical School, yet he claimed he could treat Mayor Fang’s condition.

Now, he was saying that their Neurosurgery Director, Huang Wude, had knelt before him, admitting that Chinese medicine could cure diseases.

This was simply talking nonsense!

If he kept talking, she estimated that if the First Lady got angry, she might throw both him and Bai Jue in prison.

She was trying to be kind, reminding him:

“You’re Lin Dong, right? It’s okay to boast anywhere else, but in front of some people, you better be careful with your words.”

“As for treating diseases, you don’t even have a medical practice license. If you cure the disease, that’s fine, but if something goes wrong, if you cause someone’s death, you’ll have to pay with your own life!”

Bai Jue felt the same way, better to lose a job than end up in prison.

The patient in front of them was the Mayor. If he failed to cure him, his own life wouldn’t be enough to compensate.

She quickly pulled Lin Dong aside, whispering, “Forget it, Dongzi. I’ll quit my job. Let’s go!”

But at this moment, Huang Hua persisted, “You think you can just leave?”

“Didn’t you just say that our hospital’s Neurosurgery Director knelt before you? You slander a man’s reputation and think you can just walk away?”

“It’s not that simple! You don’t know? The person you were talking about, he is my dad!!”

“I’m calling him over right now to face you. You dare to smear my father’s reputation, you better be ready to go to prison!”

Having said that, Huang Hua hurriedly turned to Liu Yun and said:

“The First Lady of the city, please allow me to call my father over. Besides proving his reputation, he can also help consult for the Mayor!”

Liu Yun nodded. She had heard of Huang Wude, the neurosurgery expert, and knew he was very capable.

Having one more expert like him for the consultation would also be helpful for her husband’s sickness.

Moreover, she also disliked Lin Dong, who was truly spouting nonsense. If his slander against the expert’s reputation was confirmed, she would be the first one to send him to prison.

“Go ahead!” She agreed.

Huang Hua was overjoyed, took out his phone, and dialed his father Huang Wude’s number.

“Dad, the First Lady of the city has come to ask for your consultation.”

“Yes, at our department’s intensive care bed. Besides that, there’s another matter, you’ll know once you’re here…”

After he finished the call, he looked at Lin Dong with a cold expression, thinking that once his father arrived, Lin Dong would be dead for sure.

Wang Meimei, looking as if she enjoyed stirring up trouble, spoke up:

“If I remember correctly, for the crime of slander and libel, severe cases can lead to fixed-term imprisonment of up to three years… His actions qualify as severe, don’t they? After all, the one slandered is an expert!”

“Certainly!” Liu Yun also said coldly: “Moreover, he has an extra sin. Impersonating a doctor and trying to treat the Mayor! All these combined, it would be no problem to sentence him for three years!”

Hearing that the consequences were so serious, Bai Jue was so scared that she turned as pale as if her face were coated with lime.

Even her voice carried a sobbing tone: “I don’t want this work anymore, let’s just go…”

“Heh, leave? It’s too late now!” Huang Hua said coldly, feeling certain that Lin Dong would definitely end up in prison.

Wang Meimei was overjoyed inside. She had just been at a loss with Lin Dong yesterday, and now she felt she had regained her face. And Lin Dong might even end up in prison, thinking about it made every cell in her body ecstatic.

Qiao Bing shook her head. There was nothing she could do now. She thought it was all Lin Dong’s fault for not watching his mouth!

At this moment, a pot-bellied man with a receding hairline, wearing a white gown, walked in with his hands behind his back.

This person was none other than Huang Wude.

Seeing him, Huang Hua quickly went over, “Dad, you’re here!”

Huang Wude responded in a deep voice, “At the hospital, call me by my position!”

“Yes, yes, yes, Director Huang, you’re here. There’s something funny I have to tell you…”

He was just about to tell Huang Wude what had happened, but then Huang Wude saw Lin Dong.

Instantly, his face changed dramatically.

“You… What are you doing here??” Huang Wude blurted out.

Lin Dong said in a deep voice, “I came to see if you have kept your promise. To publish a statement apologizing to the tradition of Chinese medicine!”

This was previously promised by Huang Wude after Lin Dong cured Lin Hu’s disease!

At that time, he spared him from swallowing the Silver Needle, which was the condition!

Huang Wude turned deathly pale; of course, he hadn’t gone through with it after he returned.

He thought Lin Dong was just talking big and never expected Lin Dong to actually come to the hospital specifically to confirm this matter.

“I… I was just about to publish that statement!” Huang Wude, still unaware of the internal affairs of the Black Dragon Society, had no idea Lin Hu had died.

He thought Lin Hu was completely cured by Lin Dong and, believing that Lin Dong had the support of Lin Hu behind him, he didn’t dare renege!

But his statement undoubtedly stunned Huang Hua and the others, their eyes wide and mouths agape!

What’s going on?

From my father’s reaction, is what that kid said true?

Did my dad… really kneel before Lin Dong?

He was completely dumbfounded!

Could there be anything more absurd than this?
