Urban Divine Doctor Descends the Mountain

Chapter 9: Chapter 9 Keeping Promises

Lin Dong walked to the nearby small alley, intending to take out his phone and open that private album.

Suddenly, at this moment, a series of footsteps approached.

Lin Dong was startled and felt the nervousness of someone watching a movie illicitly and getting caught.

He quickly pocketed his phone and looked in the direction of the footsteps.

What he saw was an extremely beautiful and aloof woman, whose bodyʼs curves were soft and elegant, her tight black clothes outlining a beautiful parabola that tightened into an astonishing straight line at her lower abdomen.

A pair of long legs in tight trousers looked slender and pleasing to the eye, but unfortunately, her situation didnʼt seem too good at the moment.

Lin Dong noticed at a glance that the stunning woman in black was poisoned, and she was also injured.

Beyond that, several black-cloaked assassins were chasing her.

”Who exactly is the person behind you guys, to even bribe my close aide and poison me?” Blood spilled from her corners of her mouth as she coldly questioned the black-cloaked assassins.

One of the assassins sneered, ”Tu Yanzhi, you are about to die, whatʼs the need to know these things?”

Tu Yanzhiʼs face darkened, and had it not been for the poison rendering her weak and feeble, these mere assassins would have been nothing to her.

”All right, itʼs time for you to go!” said one of the assassins, advancing towards Tu Yanzhi.

Lin Dong awkwardly touched his nose.

He cleared his throat to hint, ”You guys... are you blind? Didnʼt you see thereʼs a live person right here?”

Lin Dong had been standing in the dark, and indeed, they hadnʼt noticed him just now.

When Lin Dong spoke, everyone turned to look at him.

”Gouge out his eyes and roll!” one of the black-cloaked assassins glared at Lin Dong and said coldly.

Lin Dong shrugged his shoulders, ”What if I say no?”

”No? Then you can go ahead and die!” The black-cloaked assassin sneered; he didnʼt mind killing one more person.

They wasted no more words and rushed towards Lin Dong.

Tu Yanzhi felt somewhat apologetic, ”Young man, you better run! These people are all professional assassins...”

”Crack, crack...”

”What?!!” Tu Yanzhi was utterly shocked to find that in the few seconds she spoke, those professional assassins had their hands and feet twisted and broken by Lin Dong.

”You...who are you?” The assassins were immensely frightened, this was more terrifying than an uninjured Tu Yanzhi.

Lin Dong didnʼt respond to them but twisted them together like ropes into a bundle.

The assassins, limbs broken, now looked at Lin Dong as if they had seen a ghost or god.

Lin Dong dusted off his palms.

For him, not to mention a few assassins, even mercenaries from overseas battlefields would be easy to deal with.

After dealing with them, Lin Dong approached Tu Yanzhi.

Tu Yanzhi, in astonishment, curiously asked, ”Who are you?”

Lin Dong did not reply, but instead landed a palm on her chest.

”You...bastard!” Angered, Tu Yanzhi could only watch helplessly as the palm struck her, poisoned as she was.

Bang!

She was thrown backward, spitting out a mouthful of blood.

”You dare to hit me; I will kill you!” Tu Yanzhi, in her rage, clenched her fist and rushed at Lin Dong.

Suddenly...

Mid-charge, she froze.

Because she realized that the strength in her body had been restored.

She instantly understood that the palm from before wasnʼt meant to hurt her but to cure her poison.

That palm strike had expelled the poison from her body as black blood!

With such skills, who on earth was he?

Realizing this, Tu Yanzhi no longer advanced to attack Lin Dong.

Instead, she clasped her fist in gratitude, ”Thank you, capable person, for your help. Today, I, Tu Yanzhi, owe you a favor!”

Lin Dong was indifferent.

When he saw the need to act, he acted—much like his cultivation of the Nine Shift Longevity secret, which emphasizes spontaneity and naturalness.

”No need for courtesy,” Lin Dong replied nonchalantly.

He didnʼt linger and turned to leave.

Only after Lin Dongʼs figure had completely disappeared did Tu Yanzhi come back to her senses.

She muttered to herself in annoyance, ”I forgot to ask for the great manʼs name, to leave contact information!”

”Hopefully, weʼll meet again if fate allows. At that time, I, Tu Yanzhi, will spare no effort to repay this favor!”

Because of saving Tu Yanzhi, Lin Dong arrived home late.

As for the album on his phone, Lin Dong had temporarily forgotten about it.

At home, Bai Jue had long since returned from work, still dressed in her nurse uniform.

When she left in the morning, she had agreed with Lin Dong that he would help her tonight when he got back wearing the nurse uniform.

”How come heʼs not back yet?”

Bai Jue wondered if Lin Dong had lost his way.

Feeling a bit worried, she prepared to go out looking for him.

However, just then, there was a knock at the door.

Opening the door, Bai Jue found it was Lin Dong.

”Dongzi, youʼre back.”

Bai Jue, dressed in the nurse uniform, had a different charm.

Lin Dong at the door gazed at her, momentarily lost in thought.

Shaking his head, Lin Dong was about to tell Bai Jue about the six hundred thousand he had earned, but at this moment, she pulled him into the room.

”Dongzi, did you check in with home?” Bai Jue asked.

”I did.”

”Then you havenʼt told your family about Sister Bai Jue, right?” Bai Jue was somewhat nervous.

”No, I havenʼt...” Lin Dong quickly said.

Relieved by his words, Bai Jueʼs tension eased.

She was scared that Lin Dong would spread word about her.

”Dongzi, you kept your promise. Sister Bai Jue will also keep her promise... I said during the day, I would help you tonight at home...”

As she spoke, she pressed her body against Lin Dongʼs...
