Chapter 39 -39: Helping Sister Bai Jue with Moxibustion

Lin Dong didn’t hide anything from her and told Sister Bai Jue all about going to the Qiao Family to dissolve the marriage agreement, without omitting any details.

“I see…” Bai Jue felt indignant for Lin Dong after hearing this.

“Dongzi, if they look down on you, it’s their lack of vision. You’re a potential stock, and Sister Bai Jue believes that with time, your achievements will surpass the Qiao Family,” Bai Jue said resolutely.

Lin Dong didn’t care about the Qiao Family’s opinion. He said, “Let them think what they want of me; anyway, my plan is to dissolve the marriage contract with Qiao Xue as soon as the half-year agreement is up.”

Bai Jue nodded, offering her unconditional support for any decision Lin Dong made.

However, since Lin Dong hadn’t dissolved his marriage agreement, Bai Jue felt awkward about giving herself to him.

Lin Dong also felt awkward, after all, the marriage was still not dissolved.

“Dongzi, in this half-year… except for the last step, I can satisfy you in everything else,” Bai Jue said, her face blushing red, and then she quickly grabbed her clothes and headed to the bathroom.

Lin Dong scratched his head, feeling somewhat embarrassed.

“Ding~~” Suddenly, his phone in his pocket rang. Lin Dong took out his phone and discovered a message from Li Qingcheng.

“Young Miracle Doctor, how is it going? You’ve entered, right?”

Lin Dong replied in haste, “I’m in, President Liu, you are too kind. Giving me such a big suite.”

“Hey, it’s nothing. As long as you like it,” Li Qingcheng responded.

After a moment of silence, Li Qingcheng asked again, “Young Miracle Doctor, do you have time in three days? To treat my friend’s illness.”

“Yes, I do,” Lin Dong promptly nodded.

“Great, you know, she’s also a doctor. But she can’t cure the sickness she has!” Li Qingcheng sighed before replying.

Lin Dong grew curious and asked, “Do you know what the specific issue is?”

Li Qingcheng shook her head in response, “I don’t know the specifics, only that she often suffers from liver pain. But Western doctors haven’t found anything wrong!”

“I see, I’ll need to examine her in person to understand,” Lin Dong replied.

And so the two of them set a time for the appointment.

They agreed on eight o’clock in the morning, three days later.

After setting the appointment, Li Qingcheng started joking with Lin Dong, “Divine Doctor Lin, you’re not looking at my photos again, are you?”

Lin Dong’s face turned red as he remembered the last time he was caught by Li Qingcheng looking at her photos.

Now that she was joking about it again, Lin Dong felt awkward.

“No, no…” Lin Dong quickly replied.

“Hehe, have you finished looking at those photos? I’ll send you some of my latest ones.” Shortly after sending that message, Li Qingcheng indeed sent several more photos to Lin Dong.

They were her recent portrait photos, though not as revealing as before.

But they were very attractive, even more so than some of the portraits taken by stars.

Lin Dong couldn’t help but stare.

It was at this moment, suddenly, the bathroom door made a creaking sound as it opened.

It turned out Sister Bai Jue had finished her bath.

Lin Dong quickly replied ‘talk later’ to Li Qingcheng and put his phone away.

Dressed in a sheer nightgown, Bai Jue walked over.

“Dongzi, let’s order some take-out,” she said.

Since they had just moved in that day and hadn’t bought any groceries, take-out was the only option for the night.

Lin Dong was reminded of his first night in the city, at the train station. At that time, he was so innocent, thinking that ordering ‘take-out’ was simply ordering food.

After Bai Jue ordered the take-out, she too thought of that night, and her cheeks flushed red.

“Dongzi, this take-out is genuine take-out, don’t get the wrong idea,” she quickly explained.

The explanation only made the two of them more awkward.

Silence ensued.

“Dongzi, you’re so skilled in medical arts, have you ever thought about becoming a doctor at our hospital?” Bai Jue said.

Lin Dong was somewhat interested in the idea, but he didn’t have a medical practitioner’s license, so he figured they wouldn’t take him.

He conveyed this thought to Bai Jue, who laughingly said, “Why don’t you give it a try?”

“Hmm, I’ll try that tomorrow,” Lin Dong nodded.

Soon, the take-out arrived, and after finishing their meal, Bai Jue stretched lazily.

“Dongzi, can you treat insomnia?” Bai Jue suddenly asked.

“Yes, it’s quite simple,” Lin Dong said.

“Could you help me with it? I haven’t had a normal night’s sleep for years, always suffering from insomnia,” Bai Jue said with a hopeful look.

Insomnia was truly unbearable; sometimes she couldn’t sleep all night long, and it made her want to die.

Lin Dong nodded, “Sister Bai Jue, lie down on the bed, and I’ll treat you with moxibustion!”

As instructed by Lin Dong, Bai Jue lay down on the bed.

Moxibustion is the technique of burning mugwort or moxa sticks to stimulate acupoints or specific parts of the body, thereby treating illnesses. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it’s a very common treatment method!

Almost every student of Traditional Chinese Medicine is required to master it.

Lin Dong took several moxa sticks out of his bag.

Then, he lit one.

Next, he approached Bai Jue, who was lying face-down on the bed, and exposed her back.

The fair-skinned curves of her back were fully revealed.

Especially her waistline, supple as a snake.

Lin Dong was taken by surprise.

He discovered that Sister Bai Jue, like Li Qingcheng, had a special constitution.

This special constitution was known as the ‘Soft Bone Constitution.’

Women with this constitution have bodies as flexible as if boneless, with extraordinarily supple waists, possessing once-in-a-thousand-years flexibility.

In history, there was a famous woman with this constitution; her name was Zhao Feiyan.

The allegory ‘Dancing Swallow in my Palm’ originated because she had this constitution and thus could perform such feats.

Lin Dong never expected Sister Bai Jue to have this kind of physique.

If he could become her man, that would be sheer bliss.
