Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 151: Chapter 150: Arceus vs. Sengoku Buddha

But at least this change will only happen after Kong officially hands over his position as Marshal.

They still need to learn; there are many things a qualified Navy leader must master.

Currently, Kuzan spends most of his time with Garp, Borsalino with Sengoku, and Sakazuki follows another veteran Vice Admiral, though this position isn’t fixed and often changes.

Besides Sengoku, there is another Vice Admiral on the ship, but his strength doesn’t match Borsalino’s at this moment. Having the Glint-Glint Fruit, he is more suited to exploiting his advantage in the air. ℯℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

Under Sengoku’s command, Borsalino transformed into a flash of light and ascended into the sky. But before he could act, Zeraora came charging at him.

”Fur Race little brother, or should I say, little buddy, could you please step aside? My mission target isn’t you.”

Looking at the much smaller Zeraora, Borsalino’s words carried a hint of complaint.

His personality was somewhat enigmatic within the Navy, but because he chose to join the Navy and his strength was formidable, the Navy tolerated his behavior.

Unless it was a life-or-death situation, he would often haggle over commands from the Admirals. Many did not understand why someone like him joined the Navy.

”This is my lord’s leisure time; unrelated individuals are not to interfere.”

”It seems the negotiation failed, but that’s fine, Yata no Kagami.” Borsalino turned into a beam of light, refracting several times to bypass Zeraora, intending to quickly complete Sengoku’s orders and return to the battleship.

The effort now is for better slacking off later; completing the orders first is necessary to go back.

However, things didn’t go as smoothly as he thought. As he turned into a flash, Zeraora’s voice reached his ears.

”I said you’re not allowed to pass, didn’t you hear me?”

A tail wrapped in Armament struck at him, directly disrupting Borsalino’s Yata no Kagami.

”Today’s youngsters are getting scarier...”

Looking at the approaching Zeraora, Borsalino adjusted his glasses, realizing he needed to be serious because this wasn’t a regular pirate he could easily dispose of.

The abilities of the Glint-Glint Fruit allowed his speed to stand out in the Navy, with almost no one able to match his velocity.

It’s the speed of light granted by the Glint-Glint Fruit, but that speed couldn’t shake off Zeraora because Zeraora could move at lightning speed, a kind of light like Borsalino. In terms of speed, Zeraora was not inferior to Kizaru.

The crackling of thunder echoed as Zeraora and Borsalino clashed intensely, giving him no opportunity to interfere with Arceus. In close combat, Borsalino couldn’t shake off Zeraora; even his lasers were blocked by Zeraora’s electric light.

Most of the people on the Navy battleship couldn’t discern what was happening in the sky; all they saw were two beams of light colliding back and forth.

”Admiral Sengoku, Junior Admiral Borsalino seems to be entangled. He can’t break through the enemy’s obstruction. Shouldn’t I...”

”No, you take over the command. Defending for too long leads to eventual loss; we can’t just keep defending.” He had blocked many waves of Draco Meteor, but they kept coming. If they couldn’t solve the problem at its root, they’d always be on the defensive.

And Sengoku seemed to have discovered a pattern: the formation of those meteors had intervals. Catching a gap, Sengoku’s figure disappeared from the ship, and in the next moment, a hand imbued with endless Buddha light smacked toward Arceus.

Rokushiki skills were shared by the Navy and the World Government; as an Admiral, he naturally knew how to use Moonwalk. Zeraora, seeing Sengoku appearing near Arceus, wanted to stop him too, but Borsalino copied his action.

”Hey, Fur Race little brother, where do you think you’re going?”

”Get lost.”

”Such scary language, but no can do. Otherwise, Admiral Sengoku will scold me later. By the way, have you ever been kicked at light speed?”

A glowing leg collided with a fist wrapped in electric light, leading to even fiercer conflict in the sky.

Indeed, Sengoku’s attack had some results; the battleship no longer came under Draco Meteor attacks, but he missed. His palm passed through Arceus’s body, causing no harm; the feedback was identical to striking air.

As the hit Arceus gradually vanished, his real form reappeared; what Sengoku had struck was a fake body made by a shadow clone, Arceus’s true body had already shifted location.

”Who are you really? Someone like you can’t be an unknown nobody.”

”Interesting question, but unfortunately, I don’t wish to answer you. However, as an Admiral, how confident are you in your own power?”

In just a blink of an eye, Arceus disappeared from where he stood, and Sengoku felt a sharp pain surge in his chest.

Extreme Speed, an offensive move, according to Borsalino’s often-cited phrase, speed is power. With the boost from Extreme Speed, a powerful force penetrated Sengoku’s Golden Body, significantly affecting his internal organs.

”Your Golden Body seems to be more than just an empty shell. It’s indeed quite tough.”

Sengoku didn’t speak, but his body grew more massive, gradually transforming into a gigantic Buddha seated in the air. A huge hand inscribed with a swastika symbol reached for Arceus.

”I’m not a monkey, you know. But if it’s a Buddha, how about trying this move?”

A multitude of plant roots appeared out of nowhere, coiling together to form another giant Buddha. Influenced by Electromagnetic Floating, this Buddha also hovered in the air, with Arceus standing atop its head.

Subsequently, thousands of massive vine-formed arms rained down on Sengoku.

Frenzied Plant Modification - True Thousand Hands: Top Transcendence into Buddha.

This might not make the move stronger, but it does make it more spectacular. Previously, one could only imagine this, but now he can truly recreate those moves.

Mere vine strikes lack the intimidation of a tree Buddha of this magnitude. However, perhaps it was an illusion, but Arceus seemed to hear the sound of a camera shutter.

At the same time, Zeraora returned to Arceus’s side, having used an abundance of electrical energy to temporarily repel Kizaru, because his remaining energy couldn’t sustain further combat.

”I apologize, my lord, I...” From birth to now, over three years, Zeraora hadn’t recharged. If not for his battle with the younger Kizaru, he could have fought longer.

Arceus naturally noticed Zeraora was out of power; given that, it was time to end this battle.

”Sengoku, let me give you a parting gift then.” A Judgment of grass attribute was shot at Sengoku from atop the Buddha’s head; Sengoku in the gigantic Buddha state couldn’t avoid it, and his Golden Body couldn’t withstand the power of this Judgment.

Massive cracks appeared in his Golden Body, while the attack from Frenzied Plant hadn’t ceased; countless fists rained down upon him, and Sengoku’s figure plummeted from the sky.

Although Borsalino caught the falling Sengoku, Arceus and his group had already vanished without a trace....
