Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 192: Chapter 191: VIP Seat at the Bow

Some things might not have any effect if spoken, but they can’t be left unsaid completely, such as the situation with Kaidou.

As someone who loves drinking, without Arceus around, probably no one can control him. But as long as he doesn’t get drunk and play with Eruption in Flower Capital, it’s not a big deal.

The sudden change in destination had some pirates busy for half the night, replenishing supplies, adjusting routes, and planning new Nautical Charts. At first, they had no idea where Gaya was.

But they weren’t like those isolated people in Wano Kuni. According to the Nautical Charts, they quickly figured out the new route. Although they didn’t have the Eternal Pose for Gaya Island, they did have the Eternal Poses for some famous islands in the First Half of the Grand Line.

Due to the search for Plates, random sailing was a common occurrence in the Hundred Beasts Pirate crew. Eternal Poses of key locations were essential supplies, allowing them to first reach a nearby area and then readjust their course.

This time, he only took Zeraora, Setsuna, and Mandfeish. Setsuna needed more field experience, and Mandfeish was brought along for convenience.

Mandfeish had become increasingly skilled in the Scout profession, and he had pretty much explored the ruins beneath the Inner Sea of Wano Kuni, so it was the perfect time to give him something to do.

The pirates preparing the sailing supplies were not the same batch as those setting out tomorrow. Those people were resting up, but some were still awake.

Like Yamato, she was tossing and turning in her room, unable to sleep. She was very excited because this was the first voyage she could remember.

Though she had been taken out once when she was much younger, she no longer remembered that trip.

”Lucky!”

Unable to sleep, she intended to see if Maria was still awake, but as soon as she lifted her blanket, she was met with the gazes of four Chanseys.

”I can’t sleep, you know? I just want to see what Maria and the others are doing, I’ll be right back.”

This request was naturally denied, and in the next moment, a gentle song began to sound in her ears.

To ensure this overactive little one fell asleep on time, the four Chanseys had mastered the hypnotic skill ”Sing.” Under the song’s hypnotic effect, she eventually couldn’t fulfill her plan.

The next day, a pirate ship that looked more like a touring group than a pirate crew set off from Ghost Island.

Along with Yamato, Maria, and Jack, were the four Chanseys, a Miltank, and Riko.

Technically, they were weaned by age, but Miltank’s milk was suitable from 0 years to old age, providing the nutrients needed for growth.

Riko simply couldn’t bear the thought of Maria being out for so long alone, as Maria had become her emotional support after White’s death.

This was also Kaidou’s idea; they couldn’t grow if they stayed on Ghost Island indefinitely.

Even in the original timeline, Yamato and the others didn’t stay on Ghost Island forever, or the Navy wouldn’t have put bounties on them.

With suitable people leading them, their set sail time was significantly advanced. Today’s renowned powerful figures showcased extraordinary talents in their youth.

Allowing them to experience the wonders of The Sea a bit earlier was nothing bad.

...

In Hidden Port, the Origin sailed out from the waterfall. The helmsmen of the Hundred Beasts Pirate crew were already accustomed to the complex and varying currents nearby. Even the most rapid currents didn’t affect their navigation.

”Wow, such big Magikarps, Jack, what are they saying?”

”I don’t know... I’m a Fishman, not a Mermaid...”

The Mermaid Race viewed fish as companions, so they could understand the language of common fish and wouldn’t eat fish or Sea Beast meat, only consuming clams and other shellfish.

However, the Fishman Race was different, with fish and Sea Beasts included in their diet. Most Fishmen couldn’t understand fish language, only a few with kind hearts could communicate with fish.

Although those boat-sized Magikarps circled the Origin continuously and occasionally jumped up with Splash, as if wanting to say something, Jack couldn’t understand what the Magikarps were trying to convey.

”Those are creatures created by the Great Beast Lord; when the Origin sets sail, they always escort the ship out of Wano Kuni’s seas. You’ll get used to it after a few times,” Mandfeish explained to Yamato and Jack. In terms of combat, he wasn’t the strongest in the Hundred Beasts Pirate crew, but his understanding of human relations was unmatched.

He knew very well the relationships between the high-level officials. Of course, the biggest conflict among them was Queen possibly getting beaten up, which was no longer a significant matter in the current Hundred Beasts Pirate crew.

Some pirates didn’t like kids, but Mandfeish thought those people were fools. The future belongs to the youth, and these young ones favored by Kaidou and Arceus were surely going to go far.

If you don’t forge good relationships while they’re young, when they grow up, you can only gamble for war merits with your life.

Yamato, who had just set sail, was extremely excited, curious about everything in the outside world. Even the passing News Birds fascinated her, but the ship’s high railing obstructed her view of the outside.

She soon discovered a good spot. After the ship sailed out of Wano Kuni’s dangerous waters, she swiftly climbed to the bow when the Chanseys weren’t aware.

The best view on the ship was undoubtedly the lookout tower on the mast, but she couldn’t climb up there, so she settled for the bow with the widest view.

The bow of a ship typically features iconic items indicating its ownership; the Origin had undergone modifications, and the current bow featured a horizontally placed modified Thousand Cosmos Bracelet, resembling an elongated cross.

The intersecting point in the middle provided her with enough of a platform.

Looking down, she saw the turbulent ocean, but she didn’t feel afraid.

”I’ve decided! From now on, this will be my seat! Right, Father Lord!”

The bow was built considering collision factors, so it was very sturdy. Even with several adults sitting on it, it wouldn’t collapse, let alone Yamato, a child.

If it were an ordinary family’s child, they would be directly pulled down for being dangerous, but in this world, this wasn’t a big deal.

”Sure, that will be your special seat from now on. Setsuna, keep an eye on her and make sure she doesn’t fall off.”

Even though he agreed, leaving her there alone was impossible. No matter how strong Kaidou’s bloodline, she was still too young, so having someone watch her was necessary.
