Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 165: Chapter 64: Kurozumi Orochi, I Hate You...

However, a shadow darted into the sky from within the flames, and its figure had become much more bloated than before.

As it rushed out of the sea of fire, its whole body was burning, but those burning parts quickly fell off, revealing its original appearance.

It seemed that the Stone Edge attack didn’t inflict effective damage, and perhaps it managed to dodge it somehow, while the flames left by the vortex were blocked by something...

”An ability user?”

”CP0, huh? It’s not surprising if they’re ability users. These guys are annoying, but they’re not weak. However, it seems he’s trying to escape, and he’s getting quite good with Moonwalk.”

”Then let’s pursue. Mary Geoise is not convenient to go to, so how can we let someone who comes to us on their own just leave?”

Two figures, one red and one black, simultaneously chased into the sky, thus beginning a chase.

Rokushiki is a basic skill of CP0, but although Moonwalk allows one to walk and jump in the air, it’s still far from true flight.

Aerodactyl was the master of the sky in ancient times, and in the recent battle, Shaina’s acceleration had reached its peak. Her developed leg strength and Blaziken’s traits gave her the ability to leverage air, making her flying speed at least as fast as King’s.

At this moment, the CP0 member had a belly full of curses he wanted to hurl at Kurozumi Orochi and his relatives.

”I have close ties with Kaidou, he’s supporting my actions.”

”The Hundred Beasts Pirates are behind me, they won’t agree to this price.”

”With the Beasts guarding here, you can’t get in.”

The determined tone of Orochi echoed in his mind, and now he could only reply with two words: ”Bullshit!”

If relations were even a bit good, such actions wouldn’t be possible. Initially, their attacks carried lethal intent, but after claiming to be a partner of Kurozumi Orochi, they seemed to want to tear him apart alive.

This was no collaborator; they were sworn enemies.

During his escape, he pulled out the Radio Snail in his hand. Based on the current situation analysis, he found it difficult to leave, but at the very least, he needed to transmit the news about Wano Kuni. They had severely misjudged the situation there.

For some reason, the Radio Snail in his hand suddenly stopped responding, unable to connect with the outside world.

....

At this moment, on Ghost Island, Arceus, who was coaxing Yamato, gazed in the direction of the Flower Capital. From a distance, he could only see two small flames, yet this was sufficient to explain what was happening - an invasion.

Otherwise, such a battle wouldn’t unfold, so he jammed the signal frequency over Wano Kuni. In terms of abilities, many of Pokemon’s pulse-related capabilities were used, such as Water Pulse, Dark Pulse, and Dragon Pulse.

The working principle of the Radio Snail is to convert a person’s voice into the Radio Snail’s voice for long-distance transmission, which is a unique wave frequency.

The power of these pulses combined with the electromagnetic waves from the Zap Plate resulted in the complete disruption of the signal over Wano Kuni, making it impossible to make calls.

Moreover, this interference specifically targeted snails, so if there were internal affairs within the Hundred Beasts Pirates, the whelk’s calls could still go through.

”Lucky? Fly? Fire?”

Watching the distant points of light, Yamato uttered these words intermittently, showing considerable interest.

”Kaidou, is there supposed to be some kind of fireworks display here in Wano Kuni? Let’s have one tonight; Yamato seems rather interested.”

”Suit yourself, but do you want to wager? See how long it takes them to deal with that insect?”

”Not interested. From the moment he exposed his back to the hunter, death was already a certainty. The length of time is meaningless, after all, this is our headquarters.”

To Kaidou and Arceus, the intruder wasn’t a significant concern, just entertainment at most.

...

CP0 tossed the Radio Snail aside in anger, and it plunged into the canal near the Flower Capital, puzzled and bewildered. By then, King and Shaina had caught up.

Though they still had some distance, their attack had already commenced.

”Blazing Star Flying Emperor!”

In Aerodactyl form, King’s back sprouted Rock Blades, naturally imbued with the Lunarians’ flame. At this moment, King was akin to a supersonic fighter jet.

The CP0 member’s body underwent a transformation similar to when he burst out of the flame vortex; his body became slightly bloated, and was also covered in Haki. This change slowed him down, and King’s Rock Bomb barrage hit its mark, though the damage was limited.

Then, his hair rapidly grew, forming a vast net in the manipulation of Life Return to trap King. However, hair-based attacks couldn’t stop King.

Though Haki covered his hair, its coverage was limited. Before he could harm King, King had already broken free. However, the CP0 member still revealed a slightly smug expression, as if he had achieved some goal.

He crossed his arms, taking Shaina’s kick head-on. The materials on his body began to peel off again, revealing fresh skin below.

”I am the Growth-Growth Human who consumed the Growth-Growth Fruit, allowing me to freely proliferate the contents of my body—hair, epidermis, skin, and including the virus inside.”

”These viruses were specially injected into my body, dormant under ordinary circumstances. However, in the recent battle, you’ve inhaled a sufficient amount of the viral powder, and now, as soon as I activate my ability again, you’ll immediately show symptoms!”

Upon hearing his words, Shaina’s body tensed, though not because of the so-called virus.

According to his explanation, his method of blocking her attack was likely through the rapid growth of the skin on his body surface, forming a buffer layer with a large amount of dead skin, which was also his way of escaping the flame vortex.

This also implied that she had just kicked a pile of dead skin... When this thought surfaced in her mind, a feeling of disgust washed over her. She was a girl, and upon realizing what she had kicked, she immediately felt unclean.

Engulfed in flames, her speed increased once again. Flare Blitz, even if it caused some recoil damage, didn’t matter, as she wanted to cleanse herself with fire and swiftly send that disgusting guy to his death.

Seeing that Shaina had no intention of stopping, he immediately triggered his ability, intending to activate the viruses within them. But until Shaina pierced through his chest, his ability had no effect.

It wasn’t because the flames killed the viruses. The substances within him were specially cultivated biological weapons by the World Government, possessing inherent high-temperature resistance. His failure was due to the Lunarians Race’s bloodline.

Their bloodline had extraordinary resistance, practically immune to all known bacteria and viruses...
