Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 194: Chapter 193: Sky Island Exists!

Children, beastmen, walking eggs, that was their most direct impression.

”Are you guys pirates too? Is this a game of house?”

Judging people by appearance is a common problem for most people. Three children were already quite rare, not to mention creatures like Zeraora and Chansey, which they had never seen before.

However, there were also a dozen pirates from the Hundred Beasts Pirate Crew present, which made them not too bold with their words. Seeing the other party show no interest in engaging, they awkwardly left.

Those muscles and scars didn’t look easy to mess with, no need to get into unnecessary trouble.

”Boss, do you have anything suitable for kids? Bring up three portions, and you can handle the rest as you see fit.”

With that, a stack of Belly was tossed onto the counter, and Mandfeish then signaled for a few people to clear an area near the bar.

This was reserved for Yamato and the others. This time, Arceus didn’t bring many people; besides Zeraora, Mandfeish was the highest-ranking officer on board.

Although Mandfeish’s expression seemed unchanged, he was very tense now. Arceus had them bring three children along, though with Zeraora beside him, he knew nothing could go wrong.

But even if Yamato lost a single hair, he would worry about whether it would displease Arceus. This was an opportunity, but one wrong move could also affect his career path.

”Four portions.”

”Zeraora, I’m not a kid anymore!”

”Talk to me when you grow taller than I am.” Arceus had helped adjust his height issue, so he once again surpassed Setsuna in height and had the qualification to say that.

”Understood, dear customers. Our specialty is cherry pie and cherry juice, are these okay?”

Unlike ordinary taverns, which typically feature various spirits or wines as their main products, this place mostly sold cherry products due to the local environment.

The island’s vast cherry forests prompted people here to use local materials, in addition to cherry wine and various cherry-related cuisines like cherry sea beast pie.

He was in business to make money, as long as people paid, how strange they were didn’t matter, it wouldn’t affect his profits.

The cherry pie and cherry juice of Demon Valley Town, the magical foods that could spark disputes among future Four Emperors.

Since it was a signature dish, the cherry pie was already a semi-finished product, quickly brought out.

Yamato and Maria liked it quite a lot, Setsuna found it acceptable, but Jack was different, losing interest after just one bite.

”Um... could I get some meat instead? I’m not really into this...”

The confident Jack of over twenty years later was as humble as current Jack. Although Arceus showed no bias against him, granting him what he deserved, others received more.

Like the care from Chansey, he could look forward to a cooked Chansey egg with every meal, and Maria was the same, each got one as standard. However, since Chansey laid several eggs each day, the extras naturally went to Yamato.

After all, they were creations of Arceus, personal preferences somewhat influenced these initial forms.

Yamato’s requests, even if a bit willful, would be granted, allowing her to do some things as she pleased. Maria also had a slight allowance of her own benefits, and he was already accompanying Mandfeish in underwater exploration.

But such small requests weren’t an issue, especially with Mandfeish present, nothing else mattered. Jack had become the most familiar with Mandfeish, as Mandfeish had been diving with him lately.

Money was already in place, whatever they wanted, the boss could have the cook prepare. Soon, several large steaks were brought up, seemingly from some kind of small sea beast.

The bar area was virtually commandeered by the Hundred Beasts Pirate Crew, even Chansey was eating some food. Everything would have remained uneventful until Yamato asked a question.

”Uncle, have you ever been to Sky Island?”

”Sky Island? Never been, are you planning to go to Sky Island?” He didn’t believe in Sky Island’s existence, but it was clear these were major customers’ children, he naturally had a high EQ to keep his tavern running around here.

It was merely a matter of a few words, treating it like pacifying a child.

”Yeah, we’re setting off tomorrow, I wonder what Sky Island looks like.”

”Maybe it’ll be beautiful, if you really reach there, remember to let Uncle know.”

Some pirates felt differently, Yamato’s voice wasn’t low, so it reached their ears naturally.

”Hahaha, what a little brat, Sky Island is just a fairy tale for kids, it doesn’t exist.”

”Exactly, Dote, you’ll say anything for money, huh? Didn’t you say you didn’t believe in it before?”

The people here had all been drinking, laughter like a chain reaction rippled through the tavern, reddening Yamato’s face.

”Nonsense! Sky Island is right above us!”

In volume, Yamato prevailed, nearly alone suppressing the tavern’s laughter, but then even louder laughter erupted, some even knocked over the bottles on their tables.

”Kid, don’t be naïve, Sky Island is just a ploy to deceive children, it doesn’t exist, understand?”

”Impossible, Sky Island is right above! My foster father wouldn’t lie to me!!”

”Looks like you still don’t understand reality, kid.”

The pirate who had just spoken stood up and approached. If Sky Island indeed existed, they, who had wasted so much time here, would truly be fools.

So everyone staying here had a consensus that Sky Island unequivocally didn’t exist.

Even if it was just a child’s claim, they were unwilling to accept it.

Mandfeish, however, grabbed his wrist.

”Friend, I advise you to think carefully. We’re with kids today, we don’t want things to go too far.”

Yamato and the rest would inevitably experience bloodshed, it was unavoidable for those born into the Hundred Beasts Pirate Crew. Kaidou and Arceus both intended to raise them into strong individuals.

But he had no right to determine when the bloodletting would occur, before Arceus or Kaidou decided so, he was to safeguard their innocence as children.

”Who’s your friend? Three years ago, I was a Great Pirate with a bounty of thirty million! Never heard of the name Jackal Harlot? You fools who believe in Sky Island.”

With that, he tried to shake off Mandfeish, but the other party’s hand was like a vice, firmly gripping his wrist.

”Sorry, I’m not interested in the names of small fry. Lord Zeraora, I think the next scene might be unpleasant to watch, perhaps you should first take Miss Yamato and the others away.”

This person reeked of alcohol, clearly intoxicated, and his companions had also started to move, making it challenging to peacefully resolve what ensued.

If they couldn’t even handle these small fry from Paradise, then they truly would have no face to remain in the Hundred Beasts Pirate Crew.
