Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 166: Chapter 165: Dying with Eyes Open

”King, go report to Lord Sacred Beast and Mr. Kaidou.”

Although the Flare Blitz has some backlash, the Lunarians’ physique combined with Haki makes the damage negligible, yet Shaina assigned this task to King.

”What are you going to do?”

”I’m going to take a bath; that bastard’s ability is... too disgusting.”

”The bathhouses in the Flower Capital are said to be good.”

”Forget it. You do know those are mixed baths, right? I can’t stand that. There’s a hot spring in Hakumai, and I’ll be back in a few hours. Tell them for me.”

Saying this, she left. The kick had already pierced through the opponent’s chest. Forget regeneration, he should be dead even with extra lives.

So Shaina left directly, leaving the wrap-up to King. Just looking at that CP0 made her feel sick.

However, for some reason, when King removed the mask, he found the person showed a look of dying with regrets, and his eyes were fixed towards the direction of Orochi’s residence in the Flower Capital.

”This guy seems to have died unfulfilled, but why would people from the World Government be here?”

King did not immediately deal with the corpse. Instead, he called Queen, since according to the dead man’s last words, there seemed to be many dormant viruses within him. King was unsure whether high temperatures could kill those viruses.

If not, carelessly handling the body would only cause the virus to spread, which would be a disaster for Wano Kuni.

The Radio Snail’s signal was not affected, so after listening to King, Queen quickly led a small team, everyone dressed in sealed Chemical Protective Suits, looking like spacemen.

”Do you really need to be this scared of something like this?” Looking at Queen, who looked like a large barrel under the protective suit, King couldn’t grasp this mindset.

”Do you think everyone is a freak like you? Who knows what kind of impact whatever the World Government has will cause? My bananas aren’t harvested yet, so of course, I need to be cautious.”

He said while taking out a strange device to scan the surroundings. Only after seeing no reaction did he breathe a sigh of relief, then brought over a large sealed cover, encapsulating both him and the ground below.

”There’s a volcanic crater on a nearby island. Go and throw him in there; that should resolve everything.”

”I need to report the situation here to Brother Kaidou, so this guy is left to you. Oh, right, during the previous fight he seemed to have thrown something, it probably fell into the river. You can look for it yourself.”

With those words, King left, throwing this troublesome matter over to Queen.

As the only one present with the ability to fly, Queen had to take on this troublesome task, while the remaining underlings started searching along the canal, eventually finding the Radio Snail by evening.

The Radio Snail, having its own survival instinct, struggled its way to the riverbank in that situation, but when it was found, it was nearly dead.

At this moment, Kurozumi Orochi was in a panic, having witnessed the battle over the Flower Capital. The Hundred Beasts Pirates had a fierce fight with the agents sent by the World Government, even killing one of them, making Kurozumi Orochi realize he might have misjudged their relationship.

He knew pirates and the World Government were adversaries, but thought that interests could make Kaidou compromise, only to be proven wrong.

Not long after, the residents of the Flower Capital saw a blue dragon flying straight into Kurozumi Orochi’s residence.

...

”Mwahaha, Orochi, you’ve been doing quite a few good deeds in secret, haven’t you?” Although Kaidou was laughing, the pressure from his laughter was immense. If Kurozumi Semimaru weren’t right behind him, he’d want to flee right away.

Ever since entering, Kaidou had been playing with his Wolf Fang Club non-stop.

”Ha... I was just trying to find some sales channels. The weapon factory has already started production; we need to sell them to make money.”

”You think of many things. Since you’re so busy, let’s change our share to 40-60, you four, me six.” Initially, the businesses in Wano Kuni were split 50-50.

But with this incident, Kaidou directly demanded an additional ten percent of the profits, and this was already considered generous.

This generosity stems from Kaidou considering Orochi as a dead man, and there’s no point in quibbling with the dead. However, a statement needed to be made, so Kaidou decided on adjusting the profit distribution.

Under pressure from Kaidou, Kurozumi Orochi had no choice but to agree to this demand.

”By the way, this is the first time; if you dare contact people you shouldn’t again, watch your head.” As he spoke, a powerful aura emanated from Kaidou.

The Supreme King Haki pressed hard on Kurozumi Orochi, making the people in Orochi City fall one by one, as few could bear Kaidou’s Haki.

In the period after Kaidou left, the place was unprecedentedly silent, with Orochi’s residence turning into a ghost town.

Meanwhile, the World Government realized something was wrong. Training a CP0 agent takes a lot of time, and their tasks are often related to the secrets of the World Government, so their superiors hold their Life Cards.

When the CP0 agent died, his Life Card disappeared, leaving the superiors puzzled.

Moments before, he had reported that the Hundred Beasts had formed an alliance with Kurozumi Orochi to settle in Wano Kuni, claiming to have secured a deal related to Seastone, and yet right after, such a major incident happened.

Investigating his cause of death became a necessity.

CP0 typically operates in squads, so with one dead, the remaining members naturally took over this mission.

Now, three masked figures of varied appearances were discussing their next move.

”He didn’t send back any information before dying; that’s unreasonable.” CP0 facing unexpected incidents isn’t rare, but as per their training, if it’s a certain death situation, they must try to relay the information back.

”Now that Wano Kuni is under Kaidou’s control, if they really did reach an agreement, why did he die there? If there were other enemies, the Hundred Beasts wouldn’t stand by idly.

Any pirate wouldn’t tolerate anyone making trouble on their turf, and it’s impossible to believe no information came through; I think it’s more likely Kaidou did it.”

”Do we have the contact information for Kurozumi Orochi? Maybe he knows why.”

”No, it was a one-sided contact last time, and the only Radio Snail that could reach Wano Kuni was with him.”

The World Government wouldn’t choose to attack Wano Kuni, as they had refrained from doing so for hundreds of years. Despite the loss of a CP0 agent, it wouldn’t provoke the World Government’s wrath.

Faced with the unknowns in Wano Kuni, they dared not enter rashly. Finally, with a probing mindset, they called that CP0 agent, and unexpectedly, someone answered the phone.

”Who are you? Where’s the owner of the Radio Snail?”

”He’s dead. Wano Kuni is not a place for you to meddle in. Do you actually trust that loser Kurozumi Orochi?”
