Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 496: The Viciousness of Demons Far Exceeds Your Imagination

As the news that the joint exam was continuing spread, many people found it hard to understand.

They were basically experiencing this kind of situation for the first time, with a sense of absurdity like an act turning into a real crisis.

Yet, they had to face these terrifying creatures.

The tide-like little demons fell from the sky.

The first batch to fall to their deaths formed a flesh and blood cushion, creating a safe landing zone for the demons that followed.

As the lowest and most inferior demon species at the bottom of the Abyssal Demons, the little demons had an extremely low status and were a low-level demon that would almost never go extinct.

The flesh and blood they turned into after death could be reassembled into the flesh and blood egg sacs of imps with just a few rituals.

It could be said that the bottom-level demons utilized their inferior flesh and blood to the extreme, and also challenged the limits of a normal person’s cognition.

The reason why the Abyssal Demons infused such a large number of inferior demons into the main world was, on the one hand, that the establishment of the Abyssal Demon Transcendent Academy required a sufficient flesh and blood foundation.

After all, different races also had different perceptions of building materials.

On the other hand, the consumption and death of these little demons would also not make them feel heartache.

Of course, the Abyssal Demons had originally intended to use these little demons to harvest the flesh and blood of the main world’s natives.

As natives, the integration of the main world people’s flesh and blood could make the flesh and blood nests built by the Abyssal Demons more compatible with the main world.

As for what kind of negative impact this would have on the eventually established Transcendent academy?

Would they, the Abyssal Demons, be afraid of this?

Would the students they actively recruited be afraid of this?

This world was inherently unequal.

Under the temptation of the Transcendent, there would always be people who harbored wishful thinking.

If the ”enrollment” number was not enough, they could learn from the Witch Academy and poach people.

How could they be suffocated by this kind of thing if they had strength?

They were, after all, a Transcendent race, on par with the three great top-tier academies in status, at least that’s what they thought.

As for why the original Transcendent academies of the main world had anticipated that the Abyssal Demons would do such a thing, it was more of an insurance than an anticipation.

The current situation in the main world was somewhat precarious.

The mere existence of Transcendent life would bring great pressure to the world.

Even the total number of Transcendent individuals in each Transcendent academy was maintained at a relatively balanced value.

If the Abyssal Demons wanted to enter the main world, then before the main world expanded outwards, the other academies would need to shrink the total number of their Transcendent mentors.

So the ”number” of Abyssal Demons that could enter the main world was actually fixed.

Why use the Grand Sorcery of the False World Space to catch these little demons?

Naturally, it was to prevent a massive number of external little demons from causing additional impact on the fragile main world.

After being intercepted by this Grand Sorcery, they would turn into nourishment and feed back to the main world in another way.

As for why there were so many Transcendent mentors standing guard here?

Of course, it was because the number of Transcendents allocated to the Abyssal Demons had strict restrictions.

For every extra one that came, one would be cut down.

It was considered... a show of force from the seniors to the newly arrived ”newcomers.”

If they didn’t abide by the agreement from the beginning, the Witch Academy wouldn’t mind taking the lead in teaching the Abyssal Demons what it means to follow the rules.

After all, the Abyssal Demons had previously begged and pleaded to enter the main world in a subservient manner.

Now that they had succeeded, they were acting up, even becoming arrogant.

Naturally, anyone who saw this would want to punch them.

They were really being given too much face.

The name ”Abyssal Demons” just sounded intimidating.

The witches knew best that they were just bullies who feared the strong and preyed on the weak.

If they were truly terrifying, then their attitude towards the main world should be tough, and they should learn from the witch race and fight their way in, instead of being disgusting like they were now.

...

Inside the false world.

At this moment, many candidates had already come into contact with the scattered demons to a certain extent.

This demon tide naturally did not only consist of little demons.

There were also imps hatched from their flesh and blood, parasitic demon worms, and element-wielding flame demons, ice crack demons, and so on.

Their strength was very ordinary.

Now, after being suppressed by the Great Weakening Spell, they felt that their power was greatly suppressed.

Coupled with the Curse of Misfortune, many people felt that killing these guys was very easy.

But there were just too many of these demons.

And if the demon flesh and blood were not completely destroyed, they would turn into flesh and blood egg sacs and hatch into low-level imps and other demons.

This act could hardly be called the breeding of life, but rather the reshaping of flesh and blood.

In the end, these reshaped flesh and blood monsters could hardly be seen as belonging to any branch of the demons.

Their bloated bodies were like wriggling balls of flesh, yet they still wanted to devour all the candidates.

”Quick... use evocation spells to violently destroy this flesh and blood! Otherwise, if these things breed into flesh and blood bombs, we might all be affected!”

Tan Han said urgently.

At this time, she could no longer care about the broken flesh and blood of these monsters and shouted.

As the one with the strongest combat power at the moment, she naturally became the main force against these monsters.

And the so-called flesh and blood bomb referred to the special demons that, after dying, their inferior flesh and blood could no longer gather into an egg sac and would instead turn into a flesh and blood bomb.

After being stretched to the limit, it would explode, and the splashing power and accompanying corrosive effect were extremely terrifying.

Tan Han had just suffered a loss from this a short while ago.

Fortunately, she had many methods, but healing herself also consumed a large amount of her magic power reserves.

At this time, the resources obtained earlier, the recovery potions, and the magic storage alchemical items were all used up.

”Be careful!”

On such a fierce battlefield, any mistake could cause irreversible losses, and even the loss of life.

”...Thank you.”

Facing such a desperate rescue, Tan Han, who was in deep danger, swallowed the words ”don’t mind me” that were originally on the tip of her tongue.

She knew very well why the other party was risking everything to save her at this moment.

As long as she, the core pillar of this team, was still here, then this team would not fall apart.

”It’s okay... run.”

Xiao You covered Tan Han without any hesitation, and several spells cleared out the demons behind them.

Tan Han was also a little surprised by the large number of spellbooks Xiao You had, but it was obviously not the time to think about these trivial matters.

”Take it...”

Tan Han took out a magic storage jar.

This was an alchemical item that could store magic power in advance and could replenish magic power in the shortest amount of time.

It could be said that this kind of thing was a more precious resource than recovery potions.

After seeing Xiao You’s combat power, Tan Han also understood that just carrying this thing on her own body could no longer exert its maximum effect.

At the very beginning, everyone felt that this resource should be given to Tan Han, because she was the main output and consumed the most magic power.

And Xiao You was stunned for a moment when she took this magic power reserve, but she quickly reacted.

She no longer hesitated.

With the instantaneous replenishment of her magic power, she extravagantly cast a high-consumption spell, and a Flame Lord with terrifying flames was summoned.

The terrifying flames bought everyone a chance to catch their breath, and in the end, they led everyone away from the pursuit of these demons.

”Quick! Over there! That’s a resource point. Let’s take shelter there first!”

Tan Han shouted loudly.

But she turned sideways to look at the Flame Lord that had bought time for everyone, and she was in a daze for a moment.

The next moment, she didn’t say anything and directly covered the rear with Xiao You to help everyone enter the resource point.

With that, the Flame Lord devastatingly cleared out all the pursuing demons.

Even the flesh and blood were burned to charcoal in the flame domain created by the Flame Lord, emitting a foul stench.

In the end, Tan Han, dragging her exhausted body, entered the resource point with Xiao You’s support.

At the beginning of this battle, they were practically crushing those demons.

But as the consumption intensified, they were gradually delayed and consumed until their advantage was completely gone.

And they had not expected that the flesh and blood could also secondary-hatch imps, and that the flesh and blood would eventually explode and corrode...

Any unexpected event was frantically offsetting the advantage they had gained in the early stages... until now... their confidence was almost shattered.

”I’m sorry... this time, it was my mistake...”

Tan Han said with a somewhat embarrassed tone.

And Xiao You also collapsed onto the ground, looking at the empty magic power jar in her hand, somewhat lost in thought.

”Sister Tan Han... don’t take all the responsibility on yourself...”

”That’s right... those monsters are just... just too... disgusting...”

Everyone also quickly comforted her.

In this confrontation, Tan Han had output the most firepower, endured the greatest damage, and protected more people, testing out the terror of those demons for them.

They had no right to complain about this.

But they had to admit that these demons were really too disgusting.

Their strength was not very strong.

A weak demon could really be taken out in a small area by the explosion of a fireball.

But it was this kind of existence that had worn them down to this state.

For a moment, the not-so-large resource point shelter was filled with a repressive atmosphere.

They couldn’t believe that these demons were really at a level that the academy said they could deal with.

Tan Han subconsciously looked at the illusory figure that appeared in front of her.

It was the Shadow of Knowledge.

After getting used to it for this period of time, she had gradually adapted to such a subconscious assistance provided by a ”Little Han.”

Although the other party had Little Han’s appearance, she understood that these were all her own decisions.

And at this moment, the illusory figure in Tan Han’s eyes overlapped with a suddenly appearing figure, which made the dazed Tan Han almost fail to react.

”Hmm... sorry, I don’t come to this place often. I just left a teleportation marker at this resource point. Seeing you all looking like you’ve just survived a disaster... you haven’t been beaten to the point of losing confidence by those disgusting demons, have you?”

My relaxed tone was somewhat out of place with the atmosphere here.

”Sister Xiao Han? Is it really you?”

”Sister Xiao Han... are those demons really something we can defeat?”

”They’re so disgusting... I’m even thinking of quitting the joint exam...”

It was obvious that these girls didn’t have much strength left to complain.

Even those who had originally wanted to vent their emotions were now crying.

Perhaps they felt that my arrival had made this place completely safe.

Otherwise, this suppressed emotion would not have been released after subconsciously relaxing at this moment.

”If you want to cry, then continue to cry. It’s good to vent your emotions. But for now, don’t talk about actively quitting the joint exam. Although I don’t want to break the current atmosphere, I still want to remind you that this is still being broadcast live. The senior students of the academy are silently cheering for you in places you don’t know. You’ve already done great to persevere until now. They’ve seen everything you’ve gone through, and they will understand any choice you make. So you just need to be responsible for yourselves. The most important thing is not to regret it...”

At this point, I also paused to let everyone calm down a bit, and then continued, ”So... is there anyone who wants to quit now?”

I scanned the crowd, but in the end, no one really chose to quit.

Even the girl who was just crying had already secretly wiped away her tears.

”Alright it seems there are none. Since there are none, then it’s time for the next segment. Now is... resource distribution time.”

I said with a smile as I took out a storage card and then took out all the supplies.

Among these supplies were some food and water.

The water source at this resource point had been polluted by the Wizard Academy’s voodoo and curses and could not be used, so I deliberately brought food and water for them to replenish.

Of course... this time, the resources were naturally not just food and water.

The key was the resources that came after, powerful one-time alchemical items, recovery potions, healing potions, and so on, and most importantly, magic power jars.

Resources were fought for by oneself, and this kind of special resource that each academy needed was exchanged for with the amount of resources they had fought for.

It could be said that this time, I had almost looted the resources there.

Everyone was shocked to see the resources that were almost piled up.

”Sister Xiao Han? This... are there so many because the academy deliberately sponsored it?”

”Hmm... no.”

I shook my head and said.

”It’s the same as usual, but the total amount of resources for the entire joint exam is about this much. I’ve almost moved them all here. I still have to leave half for the other places. Don’t thank me, thank your perseverance. It’s your own efforts that have allowed you to persevere until now. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have been able to help you fight for so many resources.”

”What does that mean?”

”Of course it means you’ve outlasted all the other academies you’re so lucky. The Wizard Tower Keepers of the Wizard Academy basically don’t compete for resources. Now the Aphrodite Forest Elves are busy with rescue efforts, and the Preaching Angels of the Holy Angel... I made a little move, and they’ve all been found in violation and expelled from the exam field so you can enjoy these resources slowly. Good luck, I have high hopes for you.”

After taking out most of the resources, I played with a magic power jar with a thousand points of magic power reserve and said to them with a grin.

”Oh I almost forgot. I fought for it for you, but this time, killing the Abyssal Demons doesn’t count for points. However... this time, if you clean up those demons, the academy will give each of you who participated a reward. Hmm... as for me personally, maybe I’ll give you some rewards too. It doesn’t matter what means you use, even if you blow up the volcano, it’s fine. Just completely clear out these demons.”

As I spoke, I walked around.

Finally, I stopped here.

I had finished what I had to say.

Finally, I bent down and placed the magic power jar in front of a girl, and then my figure directly disappeared from everyone’s sight.

Only Xiao You was left staring at the thousand-point magic power reserve jar in front of her, somewhat lost in thought... a thousand points... just enough to cast a... Super Consumption Spellbook.
