Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 484: The Witch Academy’s Numerical Deterrence

When Liffia and I returned to the initial island of the Witch Academy, the first thing we sensed was more than one powerful aura.

It was a display of life level, with a faint sense of caution, enough to make people notice such an existence from a great distance.

This time, the aura of the life level was not in the form of pressure to deter the whole scene, but a reminder that I was always there.

I didn’t expect that any level could be used like this.

This behavior was like a beast marking its territory to scare away natural enemies, reminding people that there was someone here.

And after we got close enough, we found that the island where our academy was located had been ”occupied” by two other unfamiliar guys!

Of course, they were not occupying it as candidates, but as patrolling teaching assistants.

At this moment, they were standing on the highest peak of this island, overlooking everything below.

”What’s the situation? Our home has been stolen? Why didn’t Lin Yi and Edaline notify us?”

Liffia, who was the first to notice the abnormality, cursed loudly after sensing it.

”Don’t be impulsive. It’s normal for teaching assistants from other academies to come to our place. Maybe... they came to the Witch Academy to prevent us from cheating,” I guessed.

After getting closer, we discovered the current standoff.

Lin Yi was standing alone on the side peak, and opposite her were two people.

The easiest to distinguish was the bird-man image of the Holy Angel, while the guy shrouded in black mist next to him made me stunned for a moment.

It should be... a wizard?

After all, the one qualified to stand with the Holy Angel was either a Forest Elf from Aphrodite or a wizard.

The wizard’s methods were very strange, and their strength was often linked to their strange wizarding tools.

The tattered clothes and strange various decorations, from the transcendent fluctuations emanating from them, it could be seen that they should be various wizarding tools.

”Are you two here at our Witch Academy to cause trouble?”

Before Liffia said this, they had already sensed our arrival and looked over, seeing the two of us.

Seeing the number of people suddenly reversed, their expressions also became solemn.

”We naturally wouldn’t dare to cause trouble. We are just fulfilling our duties on this trip, to supervise and ensure that there are no violations or cheating during the joint exam.”

In response to Liffia’s provocative question, the Holy Angel in the standoff answered her question, his tone matter-of-fact.

”Then may I ask you to leave?”

At this moment, I reached out and took Liffia’s arm, and stepped forward to ask.

”You’re kidding. You don’t have the authority to make us leave,” the other party glanced at me and didn’t feel any aura or pressure from me at all, then said in an unhurried tone.

”Is that so? We just came back from the Holy Angel’s place. They drove us away with firm words, saying that the two of them were enough. Now that three of us from the Witch Academy have gathered here, isn’t that enough?”

”Leaving was your own choice. I believe my companions will follow the rules of this time and will not force you to leave. As for the rest... you have to understand that we are not doing anything that violates the rules.”

This Holy Angel threw the blame without blushing, making himself completely clean.

”Alright then I left a teleportation marker there. If you say so, I’ll record it and go back? I remember... hehe they are at a critical moment of attacking the main island. Even if they have temporarily gained a foothold, their losses are not small, and they could be pushed back to the shore at any time. Hmm... I also remember seeing the opportunistic Sea Race there. I wonder if my arrival will make them deliver a fatal blow to the Holy Angel Academy?”

I played with my phone, and the recording just now was also played very loudly, looping his words that he believed his companions would not force me to leave.

This made their holy and sanctimonious faces a little unable to hold up.

And my threat was also very obvious. I described the Holy Angel Academy as being in a very dangerous stage.

Although they had the advantage of attacking the main island first, they were the first to eat the crab, and had to face the most ferocious first wave of monster attacks on the main island.

Their main strategy was to use the time difference with other academies to gain a foothold quickly with their intelligence advantage, and then expand.

As for the Sea Race, they might not believe it, but would they dare to gamble on the uncertainty of the intelligence?

With the main force of the monsters on the main island intercepting them in front, and the Sea Race cutting off their retreat from behind, if I were to stir up trouble, the situation I described to them made this Holy Angel’s calm expression finally unable to hold up.

”You angels occupied the main island overnight?”

At this moment, the wizard next to him also spoke in a cold tone, looking sideways at the bird-man next to him.

”The actions of the Holy Angel Academy’s candidates, we Preaching Angels will not interfere with them in any way.”

This Holy Angel felt the wizard’s suspicion.

If he didn’t explain, then their temporary cooperation against the witches might collapse.

And the worst result would be that the wizards and witches would join forces against their Holy Angel Academy!

That was what he had to worry about.

”Really? Then the students of your Holy Angel Academy are really amazing. You didn’t go to the coast of the main island directly opposite you, but took such a big detour to attack the weakest point of the monsters. After occupying it, you even happened to occupy a resource point. If we hadn’t arrived in time, you would have almost succeeded.”

”You! Don’t confuse the concepts!”

”This is not confusing the concepts. I don’t care if you were lucky or if a bird-man violated the rules. The fact is that your bird-men occupied the main island and even found a resource point. It’s just such a coincidence. You have already become the target of everyone. Good luck will attract disaster.”

”Hmph...”

The other party snorted coldly, his inner anxiety having reached its limit, as if he had no reason to stay here.

”Are you leaving? Why are you in such a hurry? You can only watch when you go there, you can’t have any helping behavior, otherwise it’s a violation. What’s the use of you going back?”

”That’s none of your business.”

As he said this, he flapped his wings, and his entire figure turned into a stream of light, heading in the direction we came from, towards the rising sun.

”Hey, hey are the Holy Angels so easy to fool?”

I gently touched Liffia’s arm and asked in a very low voice.

”I don’t know, maybe his brain isn’t very good.”

”I heard you. Your voices. You were lying to that bird-man?”

At this moment, the wizard who had been awkwardly left behind spoke up.

”There was indeed a bit of lying, but they did occupy the main island, gained a foothold, and even found a resource point with fresh water,” I shrugged and said.

I didn’t expect the other party’s ears to be so sharp.

But I looked at the cloak covering his entire body, and the wizarding tool between his ears faintly flickered with the dark brilliance of wizard power.

It should be the effect of the wizarding tool and sorcery.

”Then how much of what you told me was a lie?”

”Our Witch Academy hasn’t had any contact with you wizards yet, so of course I didn’t lie to you at all.”

”Is that so? Alright then, this farce should be over. I should go too.”

As he said this, his entire figure disappeared into the black mist.

But this black mist could block ordinary vision, but it couldn’t stop my Spirit Vision.

This was a spatial teleportation sorcery, a truly powerful means.

”He just believed it and left?”

Liffia was a little incredulous.

”If he didn’t leave, should we have kept him for breakfast? And I didn’t lie either.”

As I said this, Liffia and I went to Lin Yi’s side.

After a simple greeting, we began to understand the situation.

She quickly recounted the whole story in concise sentences, which also allowed us to understand the general situation.

And Liffia immediately complained that such a big thing wasn’t even notified to us in the group.

I didn’t mind this.

After all, Lin Yi was already very tired from facing the two teaching assistants from the two top-tier academies alone.

She probably didn’t have a chance to edit a text message to notify us.

As for Edaline’s whereabouts, I only learned from Lin Yi that she had gone out, but she didn’t say where she was going.

After understanding the situation here, we also shared the intelligence we had obtained.

For example, what Liffia did at the elves’ place, and then what she saw when she went to the Holy Angel Academy.

It felt like Liffia was playing a high-stakes game, confronting two top-tier academies from the start.

As for me, I briefly described the situation of the beast academies, and also briefly described the tragic fate of the Sea Race, which made Liffia laugh.

After all, what fun can’t be built on the pain of others?

And when I was talking to them, I was also taking over the Shadow of Knowledge on the other side, and simply told Tan Han all this information.

It could be seen that Tan Han was a little anxious about the Holy Angel Academy’s first occupation of the main island. What happened last night meant that the witches had started much slower.

If they were not suppressed later, they would be unstoppable like a snowball.

And when I was talking with Lin Yi, I also learned a piece of information, which was the issue of the number of people in this joint exam.

The number of people from the Witch Academy in this joint exam had an absolute advantage.

Lin Yi also learned from the other party that... only our Witch Academy treated this joint exam as a final exam for the whole grade.

Other academies did not seem to think so, because students with no strength in other academies were not qualified to participate in this joint exam.

So this led to the Witch Academy’s candidate group being a bit too bloated...

Having a large number of people was not a good thing.

Sometimes it was also a trouble.

The consumption of food and water was huge.

Even if someone had a water-type spellbook, it would be a bit of a stretch.

The attack of a water-type spell and creating and condensing water are two different concepts.

One is a spell effect at the transcendent energy level, which will dissipate.

The other is to gather water to form a drinkable water resource.

For the reserve witches who still relied on spellbooks to cast spells, they could not use spells so freely.

And at this moment, after accepting the current situation and intelligence of the entire Bobapus Archipelago, Tan Han directly overturned her previous plan.

If she had initially wanted to be more conservative and enter the main island and push outwards, the desperate actions of the Holy Angels had forced her to choose another plan.

”We may have to change our battle plan temporarily. We will abandon the original landing point and cut in from here.”

”Eh? Isn’t this going the long way around?”

At this moment, someone asked in confusion.

It was almost dawn, and such a temporary change of plan, and a major one at that, was indeed unexpected.

”Yes, the original plan was indeed a good one, but we were too wishful. We don’t know if any academy suddenly landed on the main island last night. If so, then the most likely suspect is the Holy Angel Academy. They have a great innate advantage,” Tan Han was not shaken by others’ doubts.

She just chose a plan that could best persuade others and explained it in front of the results.

”Our Witch Academy cannot be complacent. We also have to think about the future. After cutting in from here, this is the beach, and then there is the residential area, where we can get a lot of supplies. You have to understand that our Witch Academy has too many people, and our demand for supplies is also huge. Occupying this side of the residential area can also quickly allow most people to be temporarily settled.”

”And the key is that the main road here leads to the dormant volcano scenic area on the highest peak of the entire main island. It can be said that by controlling this place, you can occupy the high ground of the entire main island in the most convenient way.”

Of course, Tan Han had many things she didn’t say, and couldn’t say.

The route here looked winding, but it was connected to several resource point supplies.

The supplies of the resource points were not just food and water.

After she occupied the resource point they had found, she found many potions, recovery potions, strengthening potions, powerful alchemical items, and so on.

She also learned from Xiao Han that these precious resources of the resource points could be replenished, replenished by their teaching assistants, and the type of resources to be replenished needed to be fought for by the teaching assistants of their respective academies.

As long as she had these continuous resource supplies, even if the Holy Angels had taken the lead here with their innate advantages, she had the confidence to fight against them.

And she had learned about the location of the main island occupied by the Holy Angels.

If they dared to fly in large numbers and occupy the high ground, they would definitely be besieged by the flying monsters in the sky.

They would not be so thankless.

Although the positioning of these monsters was a food supply, their aggressiveness was extremely strong, and the monsters on the main island were even more terrifying, with their attack power rising in a straight line, and even large-sized monsters.

So Tan Han quickly finalized the battle plan.

Although there were still many people who had doubts about it, as the absolute core at this moment, even if someone refuted the plan she had finalized, they could only offer suggestions.

And as the largest force organized by the Witch Academy, Tan Han naturally also set an example.

Her plan also needed the joint help of other forces, such as Ninglan Qiuyue or Lucianne.

As the Children of Destiny of the Witch Academy, they still gathered a force that could not be underestimated.

Of course, there was also a very special small group, that is, Xiao Han’s staunch supporters...

The number of people from the Witch Academy this time was indeed bloated, but if used well, it could also spread out the Witch Academy’s formation, occupy more resource points, and sweep away more monsters to get scores.

It was precisely because of the Witch Academy’s numerical advantage at the beginning that it attracted the teaching assistants from the three top-tier academies to come and check the situation one after another.

If anything was wrong, they would quickly report it.

The reason why the Holy Angel Academy left so decisively was because they had already landed on the island, and the early advantage was already in their hands.

And the Wizard Academy did not dare to face the three teaching assistants of the Witch Academy alone, just like the Aphrodite Forest Elf who came first.

The essence of this matter was that they were really afraid that the Witch Academy would be reckless from the start, and then quickly use their numbers to spread their advantage on the main island.

This would cause great obstacles and deterrence to their landing.

After all, the dangers in the sea could not be underestimated either.

And now that they were all gone, they also passed the current information back.

Today, they needed to temporarily avoid the Witch Academy’s vanguard.

This was not only because of the Witch Academy’s official attack, but also because they saw that almost every student of the Witch Academy had a disposable large-scale destructive alchemical item.

They were a little scared, so if anyone was headstrong and went up, they would definitely suffer a big loss first.

Only after they were almost exhausted and their overall strength was weak would a collision be more acceptable, and the advantage might even be on their side.

After all, even if the Witch Academy had many people, the advantage of numbers brought uneven strength.

Even students with not-so-good combat power had entered the examination hall, and this was their opportunity to defeat them one by one.

After all, who wouldn’t know how to pick a peach?
