Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 478: The Sudden Visit of the Aphrodite Forest Elves

The witches responsible for circling their affiliated island to gather intelligence had also returned one after another.

”Big Sis Tan Han, I’m back. In the direction I went, there were no traces of a large-scale arrival of other academies. However, on another island very far away, an elven creation appeared. That island should be the location of the Elf Academy.”

”Is that so?”

Tan Han looked at the prepared map of the Bobapus Archipelago, picked up a pen, and began to mark it.

As the girl continued her account, she also marked more information.

And based on their location and the location of the main island, she quickly understood which affiliated island the Witch Academy had first landed on.

Then, she began to number these affiliated islands, and the one they were on was number one.

Then, she also marked the adjacent affiliated island with the word ”Elf.”

”Have you seen any other academies land?”

”No, it’s too far. We didn’t dare to cross the sea rashly, so we didn’t even see how they arrived, let alone analyze which academy it was.”

”Being cautious is right. Did you encounter those monsters mentioned in the rules while flying? What were they like?”

Tan Han continued to ask.

At this moment, as the absolute core of the largest group gathered by the Witch Academy, she didn’t need to do many things herself, but to understand what she wanted to know, she needed to constantly ask questions, summarize intelligence, and analyze the current situation.

”We did, and we found that these guys are not only on land but also in the sky. Several of our sisters were almost attacked by these insidious things in the sky.”

”Are they alright?”

”They’re all fine. The most seriously injured one only suffered minor injuries, but they’ve almost healed with potions.”

”That’s good. Did you bring back the corpses of those monsters? I want to understand what those things are,” Tan Han continued.

”We don’t know what they are either, but many of the monster corpses are huge, and our storage equipment can’t hold them. Also... those monsters gave me the feeling of being cobbled-together creatures from animal experiments, which is very much in line with my understanding of the Wizard Academy’s animal modification methods.”

”Then what is their strength? Is it easy to deal with them?”

”It’s quite easy. I seriously injured them with just a casual spell. Their main strength is their sheer numbers and surprise attacks.”

After hearing this, Tan Han had a rough idea in her mind.

She naturally couldn’t completely believe this subjective information and had to think for herself.

For example, the number and strength of the monsters on their island might have a considerable discrepancy with other islands, and also... the main island must be even more terrifying.

”Then can the meat of these monsters be eaten?”

Tan Han then asked.

The island where the Witch Academy was initially located had not yet found a resource point, so scoring was not a concern for now.

Resources were necessary, and food and water were the top priorities.

The food and water they initially brought would definitely be consumed quickly.

Even with a small-scale seawater desalination alchemical item, that little water was like a drop in the bucket.

But after this question was asked, no one answered.

It wasn’t their fault; after all, this matter was not specifically mentioned, and after personally seeing those monsters, they instantly lost their appetite, let alone taking the risk to see if they could be eaten.

”That... probably not... that thing is so ugly...”

Finally, a girl who had returned with them broke the awkward silence.

”We have to stay in the Bobapus Archipelago for at most a week. We don’t know how many supplies the resource points have, so some things must be confirmed. By the way, have you had contact with this time’s patrolling teachers? Did you get any information from the teachers?”

Tan Han glanced at everyone and didn’t blame them, just reminded them slightly, then the topic turned to another.

”We did, but the other party only answered some basic questions. As for other questions, we couldn’t get anything out of them.”

”Maybe the teachers are also restricted and can’t provide students with information support outside the rules. Never mind that, tell me all the information you currently know, and I’ll integrate it all.”

Getting this answer, Tan Han was not surprised, but accepted this setting.

After spending some time, she quickly integrated the basic information she had heard from the other party.

After finishing these things, she prepared to go into action herself.

This was a joint exam.

She couldn’t just sit in the back and be a commander.

From the fact that scores could not be transferred, it was destined that large-scale grouping and commanding from the rear had no future.

You know, Tan Han’s support group was not just the people in her class; other classes were even more so.

After seeing Tan Han gather so many people, it would naturally attract a large number of people from other classes to join.

This kind of alliance was even uncontrollable.

As long as she did not explicitly state that she would not accept them, they, as members of Tan Han’s support group, would spontaneously form a group.

After all, the idea that there is strength in numbers was an inertial way of thinking from when they were ordinary people.

But Tan Han knew that this was not necessarily true.

A large group could also be wiped out in one fell swoop.

At this moment, she had to be calm.

She needed to spend more energy to fully utilize the power she currently possessed.

Then she took out her phone.

The phone issued by the Witch Academy also showed that it could be used here, but it couldn’t connect to the Witch Academy’s academy network.

It wasn’t that there was no network, but a reminder that it was inaccessible during the joint exam.

This was not surprising.

At this moment, they were being broadcast live.

If they could connect, then the Witch Academy, as the rear, could completely use the advantage of the god’s-eye view to provide them with strategies.

It would be like having the entire academy’s think tank helping them.

Such a big loophole would not be tolerated by any academy.

But unfortunately, they couldn’t do this.

But she could contact people she had added as friends through her phone, but... only within this archipelago.

She estimated that this archipelago should be covered by something to cause this situation.

But fortunately, with this communication condition, they were not afraid of information transmission problems after being scattered over a long distance.

”I will create a group chat, and you pull all those people into the group chat. Remember, divide them into small teams, with the team leader entering the group chat. Then create a large group to unite everyone from the Witch Academy and share information in it.”

”Share information? Wouldn’t this benefit other small teams?”

”But others are thinking the same way. The group we have gathered cannot represent the Witch Academy. Information sharing at least provides a platform. As long as we have an intelligence advantage, we can exchange it for other intelligence from others.”

Obviously, in Tan Han’s judgment, she felt that understanding the overall situation was better than hiding it, and what she needed to pay was only the known intelligence.

After explaining some precautions, someone soon went out to implement this idea.

Tan Han was right.

Their Tan Han support group could not make decisions on behalf of the Witch Academy.

The groups formed around the Child of Destiny in the Witch Academy were not just them.

The remaining students still formed cooperative teams of three or five and began to advance towards the periphery and the other side of this affiliated island until this small island was completely taken by the Witch Academy.

But in the end, this island would not belong to any group, but to the Witch Academy as a whole.

The only thing to be aware of was whether the resource points on this affiliated island would cause infighting among the students of the Witch Academy.

Although this joint exam was said to be individual scoring and encouraged teaming up, this was both a conflict between academies and a personal war.

The words ”the big picture is the most important” were not worth mentioning in the face of interests.

So the only solution now was for Tan Han herself or the members of her support group to find it.

This could maximize the suppression of infighting caused by interests, because at present, no one dared to provoke her support group alone.

Of course... after solving these trivial matters, she still needed to personally find a mentor to ask about the situation.

The first thing she thought of was that familiar figure.

According to that riddle-like way of speaking... perhaps she could reveal some imperceptible information.

She had a very thorough understanding of the rules, so she understood that there were really many loopholes to be exploited with the patrolling teachers.

While no other academies had interfered yet, she had to seize this opportunity to learn more information.

The only trouble might be the live broadcast footage.

At least in the live broadcast, the other party would definitely not reveal any useful information to her.

...

After receiving hundreds of classes, the task of the four of us in the teaching assistant team was more or less completed for this stage.

The start time of this joint exam officially began after they set foot on the Bobapus Archipelago.

The only variable was whether they would be reckless or cautious.

But I didn’t rush to leave this place to go elsewhere.

Instead, I stayed to answer basic questions for the newly arrived students.

However, I was too lazy to answer some outrageous questions.

Just a moment ago, a student actually came over and asked me if I could tell her where the resource points were, because they had forgotten to bring food and water.

Well... to say the least, this was indeed outrageous.

Didn’t you see Tan Han and the others had already set up their tents?

But speaking of food, besides the food and water provided in the resource points, the animals that were released could also be eaten.

Those seemed to be the handiwork of the Wizard Academy, biological sorcery experiments.

This was not strange.

The Witch Academy also had biological alchemy.

Weren’t they doing similar things?

Food was easy to solve, but water was the top priority.

Seawater is not drinkable; most people know this common sense.

As for those who don’t, reality will teach them.

Actually, the most important thing in the resource points was not those supplies.

Those supplies were actually only enough for a large team of a dozen people for a few days.

That’s right, according to the regulations, a gathering of more than a dozen people was considered a large team.

After all, the academy encouraged cooperation in small teams of two or three, or at most five or six.

This configuration was the most reasonable.

More people would be bloated.

But Tan Han and the others started with a big one, letting all the academies know what ”united” meant!

But Tan Han quickly reacted and began to sort this large group into small teams as the basic unit of deployment, and then used the group chat established on their phones to exchange information and achieve the purpose of remote command.

Actually, there was only one resource point on the initial island.

This was to force everyone to go to the main island, because that was the biggest place, and its size was even larger than the land area of the 13 permanent islands combined.

But you can’t say that the resource points on these affiliated islands are useless, because the location of the resource point is an additionally placed, immovable seawater desalination alchemical item, which can produce enough fresh water for many people to use.

So if this is used well, you can directly grasp most of the say.

If it is not used well... then it will be attacked by the group, and internal strife will directly begin, resulting in self-consumption.

”Hey, Xiao Han, I plan to leave here first and go to other islands to see the situation of other academies.”

After being annoyed by a group of people, Liffia was the first to lose her patience and prepared to leave.

”Mhm, be careful,” I didn’t stop her and said to her.

”It’s fine no one dares to attack a patrolling teacher. Xiao Han, want to go with me? To scout out some information about other academies and see their current situation.”

”Me?”

Being told this by Liffia, I was indeed tempted.

After all, we had said more or less what we should say.

The questions were repeated too many times, and I was also very annoyed.

It was better to let them spread this basic information, which was better than me slowly saying it alone.

But I happened to see a familiar figure appear in a tent in the distance.

As soon as she came out, her gaze turned to me, and we even met eyes for a moment.

”Actually, I’d like to, but it seems I have something to do now. You go first. But where are you planning to go?”

I asked.

”Of course, it’s over there. That was the Aphrodite Forest Elves’ Floating Tree of Life, right? I haven’t seen it up close before. I’ll go see if they’re still there.”

”Is that so? Then good luck. If you run into trouble, you can try to summon me, but I might not respond,” I said a simple goodbye.

”Alright then, it would be too heartless not to respond.”

Seeing Liffia just leave like that, riding a flying broom, today Liffia was wearing a standard witch’s costume.

The huge witch cat paired with the flying broom really fit the outside world’s stereotype of a witch.

I hope her hat doesn’t get blown away by the sea breeze.

After seeing Liffia off, Tan Han also walked over from a distance.

With the appearance of this legendary figure of the academy, the surrounding students also quieted down a bit.

It was obvious that these people had a deep fear of Tan Han, who had pulled together a thousand-person group as soon as she arrived in the Bobapus Archipelago.

But fortunately, she did not start an internal strife.

Of course, there should be an even more terrifying existence in front of them than Tan Han, but I was now shackled by the title of ”patrolling teacher” and would not do any harm to them.

The difference in level made them subconsciously ignore the possibility of me attacking them, but Tan Han could really attack them!

Now was just the beginning.

They hadn’t even left the beginner’s village.

If they were forced to be eliminated at this time, they could really only wait for the make-up exam!

”Long time no see... Teacher Xiao Han?”

”I like that title. Is there a problem you want to ask me? I personally think you should have learned a lot from your companions,” I said with a calm and even slightly smiling expression, welcoming Tan Han’s arrival and the initial pleasantries.

”No, I still have many details I want to ask about.”

After a simple greeting, Tan Han had roughly figured out the other party’s attitude towards her, which could more or less be considered... treating everyone equally?

And just at this moment, a figure suddenly appeared in the distant sky.

I didn’t pay attention to Tan Han’s words and directly focused on the anomaly there.

I have to say that the arrival of this figure immediately attracted my attention.

Seeing the other party’s unique elven features and that strand of green hair on their forehead, as well as the badge representing the identity of a patrolling teacher this time, I roughly knew the other party’s identity.

This badge could barely be considered a wizarding tool, but it was combined with alchemy, allowing anyone to use it.

It represented the identity of a patrolling teacher and was also the credential for traversing the Grand Sorcery of the False World Space.

”Welcome... elf from the Aphrodite World Tree Guard. Why are you in such a hurry to come to our Witch Academy’s territory? Is there something you need?”

”I’m just here to check if the Witch Academy’s teaching assistant has violated the joint exam patrol rules and provided your academy with information beyond the permitted scope. Also... when did this place become your Witch Academy’s territory? Do you really think that just because you arrived first, this affiliated island is yours?”

This elf’s tone was not friendly from the start.

”Is that so? I think so too. Your elf island is very close to ours, and it doesn’t have your Aphrodite Academy’s name on it either,” I retorted unceremoniously.

”But you’re so eager to start investigating our Witch Academy’s situation. Are you going to go back and secretly leak the intelligence? What a coincidence, we also have a teaching assistant who went to your Elf Academy. From the looks of it, you didn’t meet? Your eyesight is really bad.”
