Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 244: Troubles That May Be Encountered After the Exchange Competition

“Yang Yuehan… this little one is really unexpected. It seems the script kill wasn’t triggered this time?”

“It’s like this when one has destiny on their side. The power of a script kill is strongest against those without destiny. Now that Yang Yuehan has acquired destiny, a leap from nothing to something, this is the treatment for those who enter the game.”

At this moment, after I left, a group of witches also started chatting.

Various topics came up, but the most important one was still about the destiny-related topics this time.

The biggest winner of this exchange competition, apart from the Witch Academy, seemed to be only the Holy Angel Academy and the Mengmao Academy, which was just there to make up the numbers.

Although on the surface, the Mengmao Academy was a small academy among the Beast Academies, and the Holy Angel Academy was the first of the Three Great Top-tier Academies to be completely eliminated, they both didn’t seem to be much.

But this was all just a facade.

“Xi Lan… you saw it, right? Xiao Han is already starting to try constructing a domain.”

Lina was sitting next to Ji Niang at this moment.

This grade director, although she said she was very busy, still came to the competition venue at this moment.

“I saw it. Didn’t it fail?”

Ji Niang said.

“An interesting little one. The level of a domain is not something that a non-transcendent can touch. She’s clearly a newcomer who doesn’t even know much about runes… is this the confidence that a Floating World-level Spirit Vision gives her? And that Fire Rain Domain Spellbook… it must have cost you a lot, right? The value of a domain-type Spellbook… this is not a toy for a newcomer to play with.”

“So much nonsense. Go do your own thing, I should be leaving.”

“You should be leaving. This time, Xiao Han has gotten herself into big trouble. The destiny of the first place is on her head…”

“I will explain it to her. Also, don’t you guys have any ideas about Xiao Han.”

“That depends on whether you have the ability to keep her. Your Xiao Han has shone brightly in this exchange competition. This has attracted too many people… even other academies are the same. Innate Spirit Vision… you know what this means.”

Ji Niang naturally knew what Lina’s words to her before leaving meant.

Big trouble.

If it weren’t for the battle for destiny, the label of an Innate Spirit Visionary would probably have become the most dazzling focus of this session.

But this thing called destiny is related to many things, such as tributaries of destiny, the river of cause and effect, the will of the world, and further development of the Main World… Outsiders have never belonged to the Main World, and they know this very well.

Logically speaking, a Child of Destiny controlled by a script would definitely grow up smoothly.

Originally, it should have been like this, but with the intervention of outsiders, the will of the world would also realize this.

Although the abnormal development of the script this time was not without the intervention of the Abyssal Demons, the will of the world was the core that dominated.

The will of the world would deliberately reject outsiders.

Lives of a non-transcendent level descending on this world would be rejected.

Even if they were forced to stay, they would be cursed by the world, their luck would become extremely bad, and the power they mastered might be diverted by the world at all times.

Even a long-term stay would mark them with the mark of this world and put on the shackles of the world, making them unable to leave.

So, the outsiders who descended on this world were basically of the transcendent level, or people of this world, so that they could stay in this world safely.

This was what led to the phenomenon that the teachers of the Transcendent Academies were all of the transcendent level.

At this moment, I was eating at a restaurant with few people with Big Sis Bai.

This was a private restaurant opened by another senior sister that Big Sis Bai knew in the academy.

It was the kind that you wouldn’t even know existed without an introduction.

This place specialized in high-end dishes.

Originally, this senior sister had no intention of opening, but she was forced to open by Big Sis Bai.

This senior sister was already in a graduated state.

She had no ambition to strive for the transcendent and planned to spend the rest of her life here in this private restaurant she opened with her own connections.

After all, everyone has their own aspirations, and this cannot be forced.

However, upon hearing that it was for me, the other party immediately made arrangements.

It seemed that the other party was also the type who paid a lot of attention to me.

“This time, it’s thanks to your light, Xiao Han, right? I have to call this person senior sister too,”

Bai Yu said with a smile.

“Also, let me formally introduce her. She is Yisha Yuan. Just call her Big Sis Yuan.”

“Oh my Bai Yu, you’re really something. Why didn’t you tell me earlier that you and Xiao Han knew each other? Otherwise, there wouldn’t have been that misunderstanding just now. Don’t you think so, Xiao Han.”

“You should change your personality of falling in love with everyone you meet,” Bai Yu retorted.

Because Yisha Yuan had already experienced the “retired” life in advance, in order to find some fun, she would pay extra attention to the most popular newcomers in each session, to the point of falling in love with everyone she met.

Of course, this was also her investment in every talented newcomer.

At this moment, if Bai Yu didn’t think her cooking was really great, she wouldn’t be willing to bring Xiao Han here for an experience, because Bai Yu felt it would be too much of a pity not to experience it here.

“Hello, Big Sis Yuan”

I said softly from the side.

“Eh haha, Xiao Han is so cute. The contrast with how she was during the competition is really too great. I love it.”

“Go prepare your ingredients, you!”

Bai Yu directly intervened, slapping away this person’s groping hands.

“I know, honestly. You guys coming at this time makes me feel so rushed. Do you know that?”

“Then bring out all your best stuff. It’s not like I’m not paying.”

“What a joke. I’m treating Xiao Han to a meal. What money are you, a moocher, paying? Just sit there quietly and watch me perform.”

Yisha Yuan directly backstabbed Bai Yu, making her an outsider.

But to be frank, it was still a free meal.

After my comfort, Big Sis Bai felt a little better.

But I have to say, this kind of restaurant with only three people in total, the guest and the chef, felt really good.

And Yisha Yuan really did bring out all her best stuff.

It was a piece of beast meat stored with a long-lasting solidifying preservation spell, and it was obvious that it was not an animal from this world.

“You guys are in for a treat today. I got this piece of meat from outside the world through my connections. It’s transcendent-level meat. Although the texture is not particularly amazing, the taste is definitely superior to most of the ordinary meat in our world. The key is its rarity. Rarity is where its value lies.”

Yisha Yuan sighed as she wiped the long knife in her hand with a cloth, then carefully cut a slice from the meat, and then very carefully put the meat back.

“You’re only cutting that much?”

“Rarity makes things valuable, don’t you understand? I would sell this piece of meat for at least Arcanite Gold, you know?”

“I don’t understand, but I’m greatly shocked,” Bai Yu said very directly.

Even she didn’t know that Yisha Yuan had such good stuff.

It seemed she had gotten a great deal this time.

“Today, I’ll use this piece of meat as an appetizer sashimi. You can just laugh to yourself. Come on, Xiao Han, this is yours.”

Yisha Yuan complained to Bai Yu for a while, then turned to me with a completely different attitude.

“Thank you, Big Sis Yuan.”

“It’s fine, as long as you like it. If you want to come for a meal in the future, you can contact me directly. By the way, let’s exchange contact information.”

“Okay.”

Bai Yu didn’t stop her from the side, because Bai Yu knew that Yisha Yuan had a wide network of contacts.

Making such a connection would also save some trouble in the future.

“Here, take this sauce. It’s made through the means of Elixir preparation. It’s my exclusive secret recipe.”

“Preparing Elixirs?”

I was slightly shocked.

After all, preparing Elixirs and concocting Potions were completely different fields.

Just from the price, the price threshold for Elixirs was much higher than for ordinary Potions.

“Yes, Big Sis Yuan used to be a Potion master, and the certified kind. Later, she switched to Elixirs and got a certificate in Elixirs too,” Bai Yu explained for me from the side.

“That’s amazing?”

“Of course, there are many amazing things about your Big Sis Yuan. Hurry up and try it. This dipping sauce is, in a way, also an Elixir, an Elixir that can make delicious food even more delicious.”

“Hmm…”

I picked up my chopsticks and took the exquisitely arranged piece of sashimi, then dipped it in this dipping sauce.

Perhaps it was subconscious, but I could see the flow of energy in it through my Spirit Vision, faintly carrying the meaning of a ritual.

“Awu…”

As the sashimi entered my mouth, a texture like ordinary raw meat wandered between my lips and teeth.

The sauce spread out at this moment, and then they stimulated my taste buds.

Suddenly, a peculiar taste occupied my mind.

It was like a wonderful symphony, with each flavor jumping on the tip of my tongue, harmonious and rich.

My taste buds were entangled by the rich fragrance, making me intoxicated.

The texture became delicate and rich under the effect of the sauce, and the delicious taste spread in my mouth, as if it had instantly filled the entire world.

Is this… the high-end cuisine that combines transcendent power?

It’s indeed much more delicious than ordinary food!

And this was just an appetizer.

This sauce was the most important part, right?

That so-called sashimi of a transcendent creature, on the contrary, became a foil.

“Xiao Han, your performance in the exchange competition this time was really amazing, you know? Those academies looked like they were sitting on a cold bench the whole time in the audience seats with gloomy faces. It was hilarious.”

“Actually… it was okay…”

“Don’t be modest. Excessive modesty is conceit, you know? By the way, how are you so amazing? The moment you started the forest fire in the exchange competition, the whole thing fell into your rhythm!”

“Actually, I was just taking it one step at a time…”

“What about that ex-girlfriend of yours? Did you find her particularly annoying?”

Yisha Yuan continued to ask.

After all, that was the turning point of the fire.

Who would believe that there wasn’t some personal grudge involved?

“Um… actually…”

“Xiao Han, if you don’t want to talk about her, you don’t have to. Big Sis Yuan, what kind of question is that?”

Bai Yu also spoke up at this moment.

“Actually, it’s nothing. We just broke up peacefully during the vacation and ran into each other here again. That’s about it,” I sighed and said simply.

“Is that so… long-distance relationships are indeed unreliable. It’s normal to break up. But… if I may ask, was Xiao Han a boy before?”

“Yi… sha… yuan!”

Bai Yu reminded her from the side.

“Oh, I was just asking. After all, Xiao Han’s performance in the exchange competition was really too eye-catching, and her style of doing things is very boyish. Of course, when making desserts, she’s also very… okay, I won’t say any more.”

Under Bai Yu’s murderous gaze, Yisha Yuan finally shut up.

“Xiao Han, after this exchange competition, you may encounter a lot of trouble, but it’s okay. If anyone gives you trouble, just call me.”

“Give me trouble?”

I looked at Big Sis Bai in confusion, not knowing what this meant.

Could there be senior sisters in the Witch Academy who were not happy with me and would give me trouble?

“Since Bai Yu has brought up the topic, I’ll say a few words too. Xiao Han, this exchange competition involved many academies, so the rewards are also very generous and cover the resources of various academies. It can be said that it is very tempting.”

“If you encounter more polite senior sisters, they might ask you to exchange, trade, or even buy in a fair way. The impolite ones will just come and ask for it. I hate this kind of person the most. Of course, if they can’t get it, they might challenge you. Don’t underestimate the lower limits of those people in the Witch Academy.”

“Doesn’t the academy manage this kind of thing?”

I asked curiously.

“Of course, it does. The teachers will definitely take care of a talented student like you. But what about after that? They bother you once, you go to the teacher once? This is overdrawing your value in the academy. You will be considered to have a timid personality, and you only think of finding a teacher when you face problems, without the ability to solve problems on your own. Your ability will be questioned.”

“Alright… I can already imagine the disgusting faces of those people!”

I said quickly.

It seems that the Witch Academy is indeed a very realistic academy.

Sure enough, once you become famous, a lot of trouble comes with it.

“It’s fine, you can come to us. Although those people are disgusting, there are still a considerable number of people in the academy who are reasonable. But it mainly depends on your methods.”

This meal was a full-on experience.

Although it was said to be a meal, it later turned into a lecture from Big Sis Bai and Big Sis Yuan to me.

And I also began to pay attention to the various troubles I might encounter next.

It was just the beginning of the semester, and before the troubles could find me, they were interrupted by the academy competition, and then the exchange competition of so many academies.

But these were not the normal state of the Witch Academy.

When it came to understanding the Witch Academy, these two senior sisters of course knew more than me.

Of course, besides these troubles and trivial matters, we also talked about many other things, such as an analysis of my current situation, how to use my advantages to get along well in the academy, and so on.

But I still want to spend my time in the academy in my own way.

After all, for other matters, I’ll deal with them as they come.

At worst, I’ll find a teacher.

They are worried that my value in the academy’s eyes will decrease, which is naturally not worth mentioning to me, and I didn’t refute this point.

What’s more, even if they are senior sisters, I am not afraid either.

They have already resorted to such means to bully a newcomer.

Can you expect the other party to be some powerful senior sister?

It’s not certain who will be robbing whom then.

“Oh why not chat a little longer? You’re leaving so soon. But, come and patronize my place more next time. But remember to make an appointment in advance. Anyway, I’ll see you off here.”

“Okay, goodbye, Big Sis Yuan.”

After bidding farewell to Yisha Yuan, I touched my stomach, feeling satisfied as if I had eaten all the good things I had missed in the past few days at once.

At the same time, I also had a higher understanding of the technology of Elixirs.

If I had the opportunity, I wouldn’t mind trying to learn some related knowledge.

“Big Sis Bai, that Big Sis Yuan is really an interesting person.”

“Yes, she is also a very amazing senior sister that I know. She hadn’t graduated yet when I met her. At that time, I thought she would become a Transcendent Witch, but I didn’t expect her to make such a choice in the end.”

Speaking of Yisha Yuan, even Bai Yu was a little regretful, but she was just sighing.

“Let’s not talk about her. Let’s talk about something else. Xiao Han, you said during the exchange competition that it was wasting too much of your time. Are you going to continue to study your Spellbook?”

“Study the Spellbook… no. Studying the Spellbook is too metaphysical. I haven’t understood the specific essentials yet. And I found that it’s best to study the Spellbook during battle. I still have more important things to make up for now.”

“Is that so? More important things? Then do you mind telling Big Sis Bai?”

“Of course I don’t mind. The more important thing is naturally… combat skills…”

“Combat skills?”

“Yes, I lack the kind of combat skills that can maximize the power I have mastered,” I said with a nod.

This was what Tan Han taught me.

Of course, this was also because Tan Han mainly used transformation spells as the core of her combat system, which was why she attached so much importance to the role of skills in battle.

But I couldn’t completely imitate Tan Han’s combat skills.

Although I also liked close combat, I didn’t have many transformation spells, nor were they strong.

It was impossible to use them as the core of my combat system.

But I still have to learn these skills.

This is a way of thinking, and it’s also about having enough understanding of an opponent who also uses skills as their core, so that I won’t be crushed by them in this aspect.

And at this moment, on the other side.

In the residences provided for the various academies that came to the Witch Academy for exchanges, there were also many people facing difficult choices.

Aqier of the Holy Angel Academy, the price he paid for his willfulness had brought shame to the entire Holy Angel Academy.

Even though the instructor did not punish him, the criticism from other classmates could not be ignored.

And he himself was also reflecting on himself, constantly praying to the Holy Light and his faith.

Although it was called praying, it was actually a kind of self-exploration and cultivation.

This kind of prayer was similar to the Witch Academy’s Witch Meditation Method, but the form was different, and the effect was also different.

And on the other side, at the Wizard Academy, the atmosphere was even more oppressive.

As one of the Three Great Top-tier Academies, they had turned in such a report card in this exchange competition.

Their own Wizard Tower had even been split open by someone!

Now, the outside world was laughing at them for being useless trash worse than birdmen, and they had completely become a laughingstock.

They couldn’t even imagine what kind of treatment they would receive after returning.

Would they be swept out of the Wizard Tower?

This was probably the best result possible.

The Wizard Tower was an honor for the Wizard Academy!

There were a total of ten people in the exchange competition, and they even selected three to control the Wizard Tower, not just one!

And yet, someone still took down their Wizard Tower!

Even their Wizard Academy’s school emblem, the Wizard Tower that represented supreme glory, had been maliciously vandalized with a sword splitting it open.

The key was that this was spread from the Witch Academy.

From this, it can be seen how humiliatingly they were shamed.

“Before returning to the academy, you all better behave yourselves, and while you’re at it, use those brains of yours that you haven’t used in a long time to think about why your performance in the exchange competition was so pathetic!”

“And you, Lu Si’en, you can be said to be the one I have the highest hopes for. You volunteered to be the team leader. You should reflect on yourself even more!”

Andrew snorted coldly and moved his gaze away from Lu Si’en.

If it weren’t for the seed of destiny on him, he wouldn’t have wasted a single moment on this person who had shown extreme mediocrity since enrolling.

As Wizard Andrew left, Lu Si’en tightly clenched the hem of his clothes.

He only felt that all of this was very ironic.

As the team leader… he couldn’t enjoy the treatment of a team leader in the slightest!

Just go back like this?

No… he couldn’t go back like this.

In that case, his fate would be worse than death.

All his efforts in the exchange competition were a joke… He had naively thought that by trying his best, he could reduce his punishment, but in the face of the rational and profit-driven wizards, all of this was just his own self-comforting fantasy.
