Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 234: The Finale of Holy Angel Academy and the Wizard Tower

“Impossible, this is impossible, the heat source detection didn’t even react!”

Faced with the sudden appearance of a second enemy, the Wizard Academy was thrown into a panic.

They originally thought that with Lu Si’en’s transformation into a troll, instantly suppressing that witch, the situation had stabilized.

But who knew the reversal would come so quickly!

This was the first time the wizard apprentices here had seen Tan Han like this.

Not every wizard apprentice would go to great lengths to look up opponent information after arriving at the Witch Academy, not to mention that to the Wizard Academy at that time, the Witch Academy was a trash academy that wasn’t even a top-tier one.

For many students from top-tier academies, this mentality was basically common, and it was especially true for those who were only half-full barrels sloshing around.

“It’s Tan Han! Get into the Wizard Tower! That’s Tan Han!”

The only wizard apprentice who returned with Lu Si’en shouted loudly upon seeing this scene.

At this moment, it was no longer about them and Holy Angel Academy joining forces against Tan Han; if they didn’t rely on the Wizard Tower, they would just be slaughtered by her outside.

Moreover, this apprentice was also heavily injured, and the Sorcery Gu life worm inside his body was still backlashing against him.

He wasn’t the team leader, so he didn’t have enough quota to exchange for resources in the Wizard Tower to pay the price required by the life worm after being severely injured and near death.

At this moment, the Protection of the Elemental Spirit of Fire on my body transformed into the Protection of the Elemental Spirit of Ice, and I gave Tan Han a blessing.

Protection of the Elemental Spirit is a high-consumption spellbook.

Its attack power isn’t strong, its defensive power isn’t high, and its buffs are barely passable, but it is a jack-of-all-trades spell.

With the help of elemental spirits, many things can be accomplished.

Actually, in the beginning, the elemental spirits could only control their corresponding elements, but that’s fine, who let this spell fall into my hands?

After casting the elemental spirit’s blessing on Tan Han and increasing her affinity, we also faced the Wizard Tower, as it was our ultimate goal.

But we both knew that relying solely on Tan Han’s spell would likely make it very difficult to topple the Wizard Tower.

The Wizard Tower was no longer just a building, but a representation of the highest honor for wizards.

Its own construction couldn’t possibly be as fragile as an ordinary building.

Apart from the outer protective barrier, the tower was solidified from top to bottom with a dense application of sorcery and runes.

This was why I needed to use a floating island to crush a tower before.

Only absolute physical crushing could possibly destroy it.

Otherwise, against a normal building, I could have just summoned a giant sword and pierced the tower through.

But against the Wizard Tower, this was impossible.

Otherwise, why would I have needed that Holy Angel, Aqier, to use the entire Holy Light Source Spring to empower the giant sword?

Because only a transcendent power of the Holy Light Source Spring’s energy level could shake the foundation of the Wizard Tower.

The Wizard Tower also had significant limitations in the initial design of the exchange competition.

Destroying the Wizard Tower was also a legitimate and optional path.

Breaking through from the inside, destroying the core within the tower, but that required completely crushing the Wizard Academy and breaking into the Wizard Tower to carry out suicidal destruction.

This was completely outside my range of options.

Isn’t it better to just crush it from the outside?

Besides, it looks good too.

Actually, if Tan Han and I used a super-consumption spellbook together right now, we might be able to shake the Wizard Tower.

But… we wouldn’t do that.

Even if it was a very stable option, we wouldn’t choose it.

The one to destroy the Wizard Tower could only be Lu Si’en.

His existence was an unstable factor.

Wouldn’t it be better for us to take a step back and let Aqier send the Wizard Tower away?

Otherwise, if Aqier stayed, he would only be a nuisance to us.

Fulfilling the contract was just giving him the resources he deserved to send him away early.

And Lu Si’en also needed a reasonable way to exit the exchange competition that was in line with his and his academy’s status, as a finale.

Taking down the Wizard Academy, another top-tier academy, all by himself, no one could say anything, because in such a topic, the victim had changed from Holy Angel Academy to the Wizard Academy.

The wizards became the biggest clowns.

This was already the best possible outcome they could choose at this stage.

And now, we just needed to press our advantage, and by the way… take another look at their Atypical Lightning Grand Sorcery.

I heard from Tan Han that this kind of sorcery even affects the wizards themselves, so they either have to stay far away or hide in the Wizard Tower.

And now they had already hidden in the Wizard Tower, they had the prerequisite for using it.

The outer layer of the Wizard Tower had a protective layer that insulated it from this atypical lightning element, isolating the effects of the atypical lightning, so the Wizard Tower would not be affected.

Otherwise, the wizards themselves would be affected, and their Sorcery Tools would definitely be damaged.

“These witches… are just like stink bugs in a gutter, one after another… all of you can just die!”

“They took the bait so quickly…”

I looked at the Grand Sorcery already charging on their Wizard Tower, muttered in a low voice, then placed a teleportation mark on Tan Han and turned to run.

Let’s leave the job of attracting fire to Tan Han.

Bait out their ultimate move, and then it’ll be a pleasant reaping time.

“Mm.”

Tan Han also nodded in agreement with my view.

In their impression, the Wizard Academy couldn’t possibly be this pathetic.

At least, judging from the previous performance of that team leader, it shouldn’t be like this.

But since they were running straight into the line of fire, there was nothing to be done.

“Now you know to run! What were you doing earlier!”

Such an arrogant voice faintly came from within the Wizard Tower, but in the end, he still aimed at Tan Han, who hadn’t run yet.

“Since your companion has run off and abandoned you, then pay the price for your recklessness!”

As the sorcery at the top of the Wizard Tower finished charging, a ritual pattern appeared over the entire area where the tower was located.

The light from the transcendent power penetrated the earth, forming a huge sorcery formation.

All the runes and solidified sorcery on the entire Wizard Tower lit up at this moment.

Power gathered within the tower, using the Wizard Tower as a giant Sorcery Tool to converge the elemental energy with the properties of atypical lightning.

Even the flashes of lightning that appeared during the actual charging phase illuminated the entire area.

The lightning pierced the air, creating an arc in the sky, and even a humming electrical sound rang through the air.

Even though this was the second time Tan Han had seen such a scene, she still had to marvel at this kind of attack.

In terms of destructive power alone, it had completely surpassed the destructive power of her Ancient Glacial Ice.

And to be able to withstand such simple, crude, and direct destructive energy was also a huge test for the structural and material strength of the Wizard Tower itself.

And this was the main reason why Tan Han had doubts about whether the Wizard Tower could be toppled.

If the Wizard Tower could withstand this level of sorcery energy, then it must also be able to withstand a spell attack of an equivalent level.

It was precisely because this atypical lightning element was too rare and powerful that the Wizard Tower’s use of this method could only be the most basic “throw”.

In other words, its area of effect was limited.

It would actually be very simple for the Wizard Tower to launch this kind of energy, just needing to add a structure, but other academies would never give the Wizard Academy such an advantage, so the Wizard Tower ended up like this.

“Die! Hahaha! Last time I let you escape, but not this time!”

That standard villainous laugh and speech came as the ball of atypical lightning was thrown at Tan Han’s position.

Tan Han also didn’t hesitate; she didn’t want to experience this attack a second time.

“Little Han!”

Sometimes communication is just that simple and unadorned.

After Tan Han called out my name, her figure disappeared from the spot.

And on the other side, where I had already run far away, a ritual lit up beside me, and Tan Han fell to the ground in a slightly disheveled manner from the Teleportation Summoning Spell ritual.

Before there was any reaction, an explosion that made even the earth tremble slightly erupted not far away.

The lightning exploded in the most direct way, but it wasn’t as piercing as imagined.

Instead, it was somewhat muffled, but the resulting shockwave still reached us.

Even from a distance, one could see the residual atypical lightning in the air after the explosion.

It was as if lightning was continuously flashing there, causing the clouds in the sky to rumble.

That ball of atypical lightning wasn’t thrown very far; more than half of the Wizard Tower was included in its range.

“Time waits for no one. It’s my turn now.”

I snapped my fingers, and a Protection of the Elemental Spirit of Thunder enveloped me.

No matter what kind of lightning it was, atypical or synthetic, under the protection of lightning, at least the damage I received would be minimal.

And at this moment, having just launched a ball of atypical lightning element, they began a self-check of the Wizard Tower, and also to see the results of their work.

“The second time, the second Grand Sorcery was just to hit two damned witches, and one of them even ran away. What a waste. Is the other one dead?”

“Not sure, but I can’t see any trace of living people outside.”

“Hehe, taking a Grand Sorcery of this level head-on, she’s definitely dead without even a scrap left.”

There were a total of three apprentices responsible for controlling and maintaining the Wizard Tower, and even the troll-transformed Lu Si’en hadn’t been spared from their previous attack.

At such a critical moment, they naturally wouldn’t show mercy.

Besides, he had used those forbidden Grand Sorceries; death was the best end for him.

But now they also had to face a problem: they no longer had a strong individual, or team leader, who could confront the outside world head-on.

Relying on those few guys who followed Lu Si’en was definitely not an option.

The good news was that the area affected by the atypical lightning was long-lasting and also included the Wizard Tower.

The enemy would have to pay a great price to enter this area, and even long-range spells fired over would be interfered with by the atypical lightning.

“Activate heat source detection, see if she’s been completely killed.”

“Can’t detect anything. Damn it, this cursed atypical lightning… does it really not distinguish between friend and foe.”

The apprentice who was about to investigate cursed under his breath after the failed attempt.

“Just let those guys in the tower go check for us. Useless trash should naturally be put to use.”

Although these apprentices had only been in the Wizard Tower for a few days, the values originating from wizards had influenced their various behaviors.

But indeed, no one in the Wizard Academy would care what happened to trash.

At this moment, I rode my broom across the sky and arrived high above.

Even at such a great height, positioned above the very top of the Wizard Tower, I could still feel the crackling sound of electricity.

As I flew over, my hair stood on end, and my face would inexplicably make crackling electrical sounds.

And this was the effect even with the Protection of the Elemental Spirit of Thunder active and after leaving the main affected area of the atypical lightning element.

And I would eventually cast the sword of judgment upon the Wizard Tower here.

If that previous ball of lightning had been aimed at the Sword of Holy Light empowered by the entire Holy Light Source Spring, I wonder who would have won in the end.

Although I was very curious, I still knew what was important.

The plan is the most important thing; there can be no accidents.

“Come on, Aqier, it’s your time to perform.”

I reached out my hand and a ritual appeared.

Then, a figure stepped into the air out of nowhere.

That pair of wings with fully-cranked special effects shone with a holy luster at this moment, along with a larger shadow of golden wings.

This was his flight Divine Art that allowed him to fly and float.

And at this moment, the position of the Angel Halo on Aqier’s head had been completely replaced by the Holy Light Source Spring, and the Holy Light Source Spring had now transformed into an exaggeratedly huge Angel Halo.

Just one look at it gave people a feeling of heart palpitations.

Aqier could be said to be ready at any moment.

This would be the finale for himself and all the Holy Angels, and it would also announce the withdrawal of the Holy Angel Academy.

Since it was a withdrawal, it naturally required a grand judgment as a finale.

At this moment, he didn’t know how to face the witch before him.

Should he thank her for providing him with such an opportunity and stage, as well as a convenient weapon?

Or should he hate her for forcing him into this situation.

Regardless, she had played both the good and the bad person.

“I understand, let’s begin.”

Aqier nodded, his speech extremely brief.

He looked down at the tower below him.

He had never thought that one day he would stand above this tower and deliver an angel’s judgment upon it.

Although this was all under that witch’s plan, it was also a blow to the Wizard Academy.

Among the Three Great Top-tier Academies, Holy Angel and Wizard Academy could be said to be the most at odds, while Aphrodite Academy was relatively neutral.

But it wasn’t good to think too much at this time.

At this moment, outside the arena, everyone was holding their breath for this exciting and memorable scene.

And the ones with the darkest expressions were naturally from the Wizard Academy.

They never expected their academy’s contestants to be so pathetic, doing nothing in the tower while a sword was hanging over their heads.

The external students of Holy Angel Academy also looked bad, because their Holy Angel Academy was about to become the first academy to be completely eliminated!

No Holy Angel was unaware of the importance of the Holy Light Source Spring, but all of this had been calculated to death by that witch!

They were watching their own academy walk towards elimination step by step.

They had a God’s perspective, standing at the highest point, pointing fingers and cursing them.

On the contrary, the Transcendent Holy Angel teacher from Holy Angel Academy had a calm expression.

Although it was a pity that all this happened so hastily, the goal of the exchange competition had already been achieved.

The Seed of Destiny had obtained a trace of destiny to take root and sprout.

Seizing the initiative was the most important thing, but he would not show it at this moment.

In the Dream State.

As the ritual reappeared, the tip of that sword was also the first to emerge.

I maintained the ritual.

Summoning such a big guy required modding the spellbook, otherwise it wouldn’t come out at all.

And at this moment, Aqier also came forward.

Looking at this giant sword, the width of the exposed tip alone already exceeded his height.

“Oh, Holy Light… you are everywhere. You shine upon the newborn child, and you shine upon the dying person. You receive the worship of ascetics in the morning. The fog cannot hide you, and the darkness cannot tarnish your glory…”

Aqier began to pray.

Even though he had already mastered the Holy Light Source Spring, he still chose the most stable method.

His prayer at this moment transformed into a chant ritual, echoing in the surroundings, resonating with all things, reverberating with his faith.

And the Holy Light would respond to his prayer.

At this moment, the giant sword in his hands glowed with a golden luster, even though he appeared incredibly small in front of the complete sword.

But the entire source of Holy Light was poured into this one sword at this moment.

I could feel the giant sword transform into a divine artifact at this moment, glowing with a sacred radiance.

Terrifying Holy Light energy churned violently, and the scorching Holy Fire from the Holy Light ignited along the blade’s edge.

The Holy Fire pulsed along with Aqier’s unfinished prayer.

This scene was truly breathtaking to watch, but I still couldn’t help but complain: isn’t the prayer for a Divine Art too time-consuming?

Or was it to satisfy his own sense of ritual at the last moment?

But none of that mattered anymore.

At this moment, the wizard apprentices inside the Wizard Tower also heard the echoing prayer and the Holy Light blooming above their heads.

At this moment, those inside the tower finally understood what despair was.

The atypical lightning outside was blocking their escape route, and it was too late for the Wizard Tower to charge up for another consecutive shot.

What they faced now was a truly desperate situation.

“Is this the weakness after over-consuming one’s power… I should go.”

Aqier turned his head to look at me.

“Also, you, Yang Yuehan, I’ll remember you.”

“What for?”

I shrugged and complained, “Just don’t forget Tan Han.”

“Hehe…”

Aqier shook his head.

She didn’t understand what he meant, but he didn’t have time to explain either.

This was his most glorious moment in the exchange competition, and also the moment he paid the heaviest price.

When all of the Holy Light Source Spring was injected into this one strike, the Holy Angel students elsewhere also felt the abnormality in their Angel Halos.

It was a sign of the source spring’s depletion.

This was the last of the power they possessed, and also their moment of final madness.

“This sword… is a judgment from the Holy Light! Wizard Academy, we have fought for so long… please accept our final gift!”

Aqier’s figure was now at the end of the sword hilt, his expression calmer than ever before.

His spread angel wings flapped at this moment.

As he fell, the holy wing shadow gradually dissipated.

This was a sign that he had used up his last ounce of power.

The moment he personally watched the holy sword plunge into the Wizard Tower, he had already become an ordinary person with his power exhausted.

At that final moment, he chose to withdraw from the competition.

Up until this moment, he had not died even once.

This was the answer sheet he had submitted early in this exchange competition.

And he was prepared to face the ridicule and boos of everyone in the arena after withdrawing, as well as any scolding or lessons from his mentor.

He would accept it all calmly.

Because he deserved all of it.

And at this moment, I had already run far away.

After all, you could only get the full sense of such a grand scene by viewing the panorama from a distance.

Watching the giant holy sword plunge straight into the Wizard Tower, this simple and clean crush—this feeling of satisfaction was what I pursued.

The only pity was that I wasn’t the one who pushed it myself.

“Looks like the plan was a success.”

At this moment, Tan Han also rode her broom over to meet up with me.

“Mm, it’s time to clean up the battlefield. Don’t forget that guy’s share of the spoils there. Seeing as he put in so much effort, I won’t fuss over it,” I said with a smile.

Tan Han looked at me like this, and for a moment she didn’t know what to think.

This was something Little Han had pushed forward single-handedly.

She didn’t know what a sensation it was causing in the outside world, yet she spoke of it so lightly.

Tan Han also looked back at the ruins of the battlefield.

At this moment, it did indeed look spectacular…
