Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 232: Forcefully Assaulting the Wizard Tower

At this moment, the Wizard Academy, having lost too many members at once, could only temporarily retreat to the Wizard Tower in the face of the current situation, and constantly observe the surrounding movements.

Previously, from a distance, they had witnessed the fall of the Flying Floating Island, but the distance was a bit far, so they couldn’t see it very clearly, only knowing that a terrifying power of Holy Light had erupted there.

But this also served as a warning bell for the Wizard Tower.

That damn Witch Academy, a single witch could actually bring down that bird person’s flying island.

So what about their Wizard Tower by analogy?

Their Wizard Tower couldn’t fly in the sky.

If no one was guarding it, didn’t that mean it could be stolen by that group of wandering witches at any time?

At this moment, the Wizard Academy had never placed the threat level of the Witch Academy so high.

They had seen Tan Han before and had witnessed her combat power during the defense of the Wizard Tower.

And this time, they had witnessed Tan Han at full power, such a powerhouse, plus that witch, was the powerhouse who blew up the flying island.

Wouldn’t it be very dangerous if the Wizard Tower was besieged like this?

It wasn’t their fault for having such speculations and worries.

Although they knew that speculation was a very dangerous behavior, the wizards had to respond with the worst-case scenario.

They couldn’t lose the Wizard Tower.

Without the supplies from the Wizard Tower, their predicament was actually similar to that of the angels.

The angels were without a source of Holy Light power, while they lost the supplies for wizards to use their means, and the consequence was a significant drop in combat effectiveness.

“How is the battle between that witch and that bird person over there?”

“It’s been a while since we’ve seen any movement, the battle might have ended.”

The wizard apprentice in charge of observation responded.

But as the team leader, he had to have the worst-case scenario in mind.

The other side might not have finished fighting.

Besides, that bird person named Aqier had not died even once until now.

What if they shook hands and agreed to deal with their Wizard Academy together?

Whether it was the Wizard Tower, the Flying Floating Island, or even the World Tree, they were never the ultimate trump cards that could be relied upon, but the most important things that needed them to stand up and protect.

This couldn’t be reversed.

If they couldn’t even figure this out, then they deserved to be like those elves and bird people.

But even if he knew this fact, unfortunately, the control of the Wizard Tower was not in his hands, and they had to face the fact that the combat power of the Wizard Tower was indeed stronger than them wizards.

And their condition was not good at the moment.

Although wizards were crazy in battle, they also needed a lot of time to recover afterwards.

Some damages were even useless against so-called recovery potions.

The Wizard Academy could be said to be in a precarious situation at this moment…

Look at what the Three Great Top-tier Academies had become now.

Aphrodite’s World Tree was burned by a witch, and the entire forest was set on fire.

Holy Angel Academy’s Flying Floating Island had crashed, and even their Wizard Academy was on edge.

No matter which one, the figure of one academy was indispensable, that Witch Academy.

When the Wizard Academy decided to go to the Witch Academy for an exchange, many people wondered what the Witch Academy was, and why the Three Great Top-tier Academies all had to go there to compete.

Now they finally understood.

Whether it was the so-called Magic Power Source or the Spellbooks, or those reserve witches with terrifying strength, and even this magical dream state, these were all things that the Wizard Academy couldn’t compare to.

Thinking about returning to the Wizard Academy, the repressive atmosphere, doing all kinds of chores for the Transcendent Wizards in the Wizard Tower, and even the possibility of students unintentionally becoming experimental materials for a certain wizard.

And for this group of students from the Wizard Academy who came for the exchange, if they ultimately returned with such a performance, none of them knew what they would have to face.

The fact that they could be contestants in the exchange competition was in itself a result of a combination of their own skills and luck.

Even in the Wizard Academy, there were plenty of newcomers who were not qualified to be noticed by Transcendent Wizards.

Even being brought into the Wizard Tower to do chores was an enviable job.

Because that way they could come into contact with higher-level wizards.

Whether it was Transcendent Wizard tutors or senior students, the manuscripts, waste paper, and calculation drafts that they might not want or look down upon were all treasures to them.

In the environment of the Wizard Academy, which emphasizes equivalent exchange and leveraging knowledge for transcendence, the value of knowledge is always the most precious.

Even resources had to be ranked behind.

After all, for wizards, resources could always be obtained, but if knowledge couldn’t be obtained, there would be no chance.

If they relied on themselves to study slowly, there would be absolutely no way.

Any knowledge that was given value was basically piled up with resources that were higher than its value, and this was often accompanied by failure.

In this exchange competition, the Wizard Academy’s desire for so-called resources was on the same level as their desire for knowledge, because they were newcomers, and the resources in the initial stage could quickly raise their foundation.

Although the wizards participating in the competition were very strong at the moment, if any wizard from the Wizard Academy was given the same resources, they could also reach their level.

So that was why it was said that luck was also a very important part of them being able to get to the exchange competition.

So resources determined their current height, but the height they stood at now gave them a broader perspective, knowing to prepare for the future.

For wizards, useful knowledge was the most important thing.

Anything useful could be knowledge for a wizard, and what the Wizard Academy valued most in this exchange competition was naturally the Witch Academy’s “Spellbook”.

In the eyes of the wizards, the Spellbook was the culmination of the witches’ use of knowledge, and the knowledge and skills contained within it had even reached the point where it could be used upon acquisition.

Even Transcendent Wizards were very eager for Spellbooks, but the number of Spellbooks circulated by the witches was not large.

And the so-called True Editing technique was not something that could be learned just by reaching True Time.

It really depended on talent.

“All of you, calibrate the Sorcery Turrets for me. Those crazy witches could really attack at any moment.”

“Lu Si’en, if that group of witches was really besieged by three sides as you said, then they should be at their weakest right now, right?”

At this moment, the wizard apprentices who were still in the Wizard Tower had quite a few opinions about this team leader.

And the apprentices who were in charge of operating various things in the Wizard Tower, although their own combat power was not strong, from another perspective, their mastery of the skills of using the weapons in the Wizard Tower was enough to prove their talent.

Only apprentices who were valued by Transcendent Wizards and brought into the Wizard Tower were qualified to come into contact with these things.

Even the apprentices who did chores in the Wizard Tower had no experience in using such weapons.

They were the truly valued geniuses, and were even well protected by the Wizard Tower.

“You haven’t seen those witches at all, you don’t understand their terror!”

Lu Si’en emphasized.

“Come on, last time we faced that witch and those bird people, we managed to defend the Wizard Tower. Instead, you guys lost the ritual. I highly doubt your ability to serve as the team leader.”

Although the apprentice who was picking a fight spoke in a very aggressive tone, he had no intention of becoming the team leader.

The team leader of the Wizard Academy was the one who took the blame.

Not only could they not stay in the Wizard Tower all the time, they had to bear the responsibility of battles, struggles, resource grabbing, and holding rituals with fewer people than the other academies outside.

It could be said that if Lu Si’en hadn’t seen that the team leader could get more resources, and he was confident in his own strength, otherwise no one would want to be this sucker.

And at this time, Lu Si’en was also feeding the Sorcery Gu Life Worm inside his body.

This was a life-saving thing at a critical moment.

It had been consumed too much in the previous battle with Tan Han, and it had already caused serious effects on his own body.

Even after feeding it until now, that strange condition had not been eliminated.

At this moment, he felt lucky that this was a dream… If it was reality, this level of damage would be enough to leave a mark on him for a lifetime.

Everything here in the dream state was fake, including this Sorcery Gu Life Worm, but the burden it brought also made him uncomfortable.

Even though every wizard apprentice was required to be implanted with a Sorcery Gu Life Worm before enrollment, all in all, he hadn’t spent too much time with this worm.

The transcendent power mastered by wizards was completely different from their beautiful fantasies, and he finally understood what his teacher meant before the college entrance examination when he said that if he chose to apply to a Transcendent Academy, he had to be prepared to pay the corresponding price.

But no one had any room for regret.

“A heat source has entered the visible range! Everyone, pay attention!”

A sudden reminder instantly broke the thoughts of Lu Si’en and several other wizard apprentices.

The original luckily was immediately put away.

No matter who the other party was, or if it was some contestant who happened to get lost here, it was worthy of attention.

Even a lost contestant, most of them came here after dying and resurrecting.

It could only be said that he was unlucky to have encountered the Wizard Academy.

Perhaps they could obtain information about other places from the other party.

“Wearing a wide-brimmed hat, it’s from the Witch Academy!”

As the voice of the apprentice in charge of observation came, Lu Si’en’s heart instantly sank.

“Everyone pay attention! Highest alert status!”

Lu Si’en shouted loudly.

“It’s just one witch, no other heat sources are shown elsewhere. Watch me kill her.”

At this time, Lu Si’en did not hold any dissenting opinion towards the apprentice operating the Wizard Tower, because he also felt that there was no need to waste words with the other party, and direct fire suppression was the best choice.

As the roar of the Sorcery Turret sounded, that area was completely blasted apart.

Even so, Lu Si’en did not breathe a sigh of relief.

“Oh my, is this how you welcome my arrival?”

At this moment, my voice came from within the dust.

With a wave of my magic wand, the dust scattered with the wind, revealing my original figure.

“It’s you!”

“That’s right, it’s me. Are you surprised? Aren’t you glad I didn’t steal your Wizard Tower? It was the closest one to me.”

“Can’t you see the other party is still alive! Quickly suppress him with firepower!”

Lu Si’en didn’t give me a chance to speak at all, turning to the apprentice on the tower.

Because he felt that the other party’s appearance was very abnormal.

To dare to come here alone, there must be a trap.

To start a conversation right away, was definitely to stall for time and gain something.

So at this time, there was no need for too much nonsense.

“Oh? Is this the fire suppression that can hold back Tan Han?”

Facing the fire suppression from the other party’s Wizard Tower’s Sorcery Turret, I was still very shocked.

The power of this Sorcery Turret was different from the dwarves’ simple use of the principle of thermal weapons, driven by transcendent power.

It was indeed tricky.

The Sorcery Turret, the reason why it was named Sorcery, was naturally because it was a weapon that was activated by solidified sorcery.

Generally, this kind of turret was loaded by means of evocation, but the attacks fired by the Sorcery Turret were even more bizarre.

They might not focus on explosions or direct damage, but things like Acid Corrosion Sorcery and Burning Sorcery were even more terrifying than ordinary explosions.

And I also saw traces of Cursing Sorcery in it.

If I were to be tainted by some of these things, I might suffer a great loss.

The threat to those guys from the Beast Academy was probably the greatest.

“Where’s the accuracy you usually brag about? How come you can’t hit the witch at all! The splash didn’t even get on her!”

“Stop barking! You operate it if you’re so good!”

At this moment, the apprentice in charge of the Sorcery Turret directly cursed.

He really wanted to quit, but if he really did that, what he would have to face when he returned might be even more terrifying punishment.

Besides, aiming with the Sorcery Turret was not easy in the first place, and this cannon was used for fire suppression.

That Lu Si’en was now asking him to aim better, wasn’t this just picking a fight and making things difficult for him?

“This is it? The Wizard Academy’s Wizard Tower is just this? Don’t tell me it only knows how to bully the weak, and can’t do anything when facing a strong enemy?”

At this moment, I was walking through the bombardment of such turrets.

I believe Tan Han could also do it, but the most troublesome parts of the Wizard Tower were still the Grand Sorcery that was charging at its top, and the super protective shield that covered the entire tower and the surrounding area.

Although I was already engaged with the wizards of the Wizard Tower at this moment, I was still some distance away from the Wizard Tower, and I hadn’t even reached that semi-circular shield.

The other party’s so-called Heat Source Detection Sorcery was indeed a cheat, it was like having thermal imaging, but this was an effect they achieved with their own handcrafted Sorcery Tool and sorcery, which was within the rules.

Sorcery Tools were really unreasonable.

If I wanted to topple the Wizard Tower, then I had to face two problems.

One was to break the protective shield on the outer layer of the Wizard Tower.

Last time when Tan Han came here, so many people barely broke it.

Of course, this was also because Tan Han did not use a Super Consumption Spellbook.

In the end, Tan Han and the others gave up the plan to continue attacking the Wizard Tower under the deterrence of the powerful Grand Sorcery at the top of that Wizard Tower, and turned to target the ritual instead.

So the second problem we need to solve next is that powerful Grand Sorcery at the top of the Wizard Tower.

According to the description of that Grand Sorcery by Tan Han and Lu Si’en, it was a powerful explosive thunderball constructed of variant lightning elements.

After exploding, it would form a super large anomalous thunder element area at an extremely fast speed.

Within it, one would be continuously damaged by that powerful variant lightning element.

Suffering from lightning strikes, loss of control of limbs, dizziness, body stiffness, etc., were all minor things.

It would also affect the spells cast by the caster, for example, a fireball spell would explode directly upon contact with that variant lightning.

This method not only targeted spellcasters, but was also very suppressive to others.

The divine arts of the Holy Angels would also be interfered with, and people with metal on their bodies or holding weapons would become conductors of the variant lightning.

If someone wanted to die, they could try walking in with a lightning rod.

And the adhesion of this variant lightning was extremely strong.

The time it took to naturally dissipate was enough for the Wizard Tower to complete charging for a second such attack.

And the shockwave from this attack was also very deadly.

That was why the Wizard Tower was said to be so cheap.

The attack methods of each Wizard Tower were different.

It could be said that the design plan for this Wizard Tower given by the Wizard Academy this time also cost a lot to install this kind of method on it.

It was currently unclear whether this method had limitations, such as usage limits, etc., but at this moment we couldn’t place our luck here.

Our plan at this moment was actually very simple.

I would make the first move to attract firepower and probe their reality, and Tan Han would break their shield.

If it was broken, everyone would be happy. If it wasn’t broken, then I would also activate my Super Consumption Spellbook to break it together.

I didn’t believe that there was a shield in the exchange competition that couldn’t be broken by two Super Consumption Spellbooks, not even the shield supported by the Wizard Tower.

After breaking the opponent’s shield, their last line of defense, that variant lightning Grand Sorcery, was the final means.

Tan Han would mainly attract the attack.

If an accident occurred, I would be the backup to attract the attack.

As long as this Grand Sorcery was baited out and the opponent entered the charging stage, Aqier would perform the final termination.

It could be said that this plan was not very original, but now, our time was limited, was there really a more effective method than a direct assault?

No, our only advantage was the information gap.

My first appearance would make the other party vigilant.

I would provoke them and pretend to be a reckless youth to launch a strong attack, continuously wearing down their suspicious attitude and attracting all the firepower.

Then, with Tan Han using Ancient Glacial Ice to launch a sneak attack, it would be enough to catch the other party off guard.

This was a straightforward plot.

Even if the other party guessed that I had help, they would have to suffer a blow from me if they dared to hold back while facing my strong attack.

This was a suppression of combat power.

What did those wizards have?

That leader with decent strength, or the Wizard Tower?

Their means would eventually run out.

When Tan Han also came out, it would be considered to have completely eliminated the other party’s worries.

Although they would be attacked from both front and back at that time, they would subconsciously think that we had no more hidden guys.

That would be the time for Aqier to appear and take down the tower.

The main point of this plan was to catch the other party off guard.

Of course, we also had to be careful of Aqier’s final backstab.

Although he had always shown an attitude that he would not do so, who knew what he was thinking in his heart.

Our contract would end at the moment the Wizard Tower was destroyed, or when this plan was declared a failure.

As for the so-called resources Aqier obtained?

Sorry, it was indeed negotiable before, but after Tan Han’s arrival, Aqier had no chance to make exorbitant demands.

The acquired resources would be split equally, this was our agreement, and it was written into the contract.

Even if we killed Aqier or Aqier killed us after the contract ended, regardless of whose hands the resources were in, according to the contract, they had to be “returned” after the competition.

The contract was only for completion, but it didn’t mean that “accountability” couldn’t be pursued.

“Your auto-turrets are really trash. I heard at the tea party that you gave Tan Han a lot of trouble with this, but it doesn’t look like much to me!”

“Witch! Don’t you get arrogant with me! You have the guts to cross the defense line and come over! You talk so easily, but aren’t you still suppressed to the point where you can’t even touch the shield we’ve put up!”

“You said it, so I’m going to get serious! I hope you’re not just a coward hiding inside a shield.”

As I spoke, I activated the Protection of the Elemental Spirit of Fire, and I was also holding a recovery potion in my hand at all times, waiting for Tan Han’s appearance, and to prevent any possible accidents.
