Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 229: The Struggle for Power

“Looks like a good haul.”

After confiscating the storage bags of these two fellows, the contents within left me quite satisfied.

There were recovery potions, but not many supplies could be taken away, and they all seemed to be items from other academies, similar to the life fruit, things I didn’t quite understand.

But it didn’t matter.

I could study them slowly after I got out and had the items in hand.

“A Floating Island is truly a great weapon of destruction. Does the Holy Angel Academy not know how to use it? To maximize benefits and tour around as a deterrent, who wouldn’t be terrified by the sight?”

“I remember the Wizard Tower is in that direction…”

I manipulated the permission, preparing to leave.

Although moving the Floating Island here was already made into a fool-proof operation to accommodate non-professionals, it still required a lot of preparation time before moving.

For example, those floating white jade pillars had to be retracted, and the outwardly extended welcoming walkways would converge, disassembling into uniform giant rocks to guard the very edge of the Floating Island.

After this, the protective shield activated for the entire Floating Island could completely envelop it.

It could be said that if the energy source was sufficient, it was basically an iron shell flying in the sky.

With such an unusual movement from the Floating Island, some nearby contestants from other academies looked up inadvertently and were astonished by the sight.

The Floating Island was transforming!

And it could even move!

This was a very deadly matter.

If Holy Angel Academy’s Floating Island could move, then the entire exchange competition venue could be shrouded in its shadow, a complete dimension reduction strike.

This was especially true for races that couldn’t fly, such as the Beast Academy, some elves, and the students from the Fallen Land who were already scattered across the map.

From high up, I could barely see the outside view through the screens here.

As expected, this was the “control room”.

Otherwise, it would be too troublesome to have to go outside to see where we were heading during movement.

Looking from high above through the screen, I also saw the movement of the Central Ancient Battlefield in the distance.

A dark mass of Phantoms of the Past charged out from within.

A considerable amount of time had actually passed, and the strength of the Phantoms of the Past in the Ancient Battlefield was steadily increasing, no longer the gentle mobs they were before.

Without any other intention, I directly activated the Holy Light Divine Arts Cannon to help clear the pressure for those contestants below who were struggling against the Phantoms of the Past.

However, the power of the Divine Arts Cannon was a bit terrifying, sending those contestants away along with them.

Although it consumed a lot of energy, it wasn’t mine, so I didn’t feel the pinch.

The main thing was to advertise the terrifying means possessed by Holy Angel Academy and to see the power of such means, to get a gauge of it in my heart.

Never mind what limitations this method has, just tell me if you have it or not.

It was like nuclear deterrence.

Don’t talk about whether you have the ability to launch it, just tell me if it will explode.

If it will, then it’s a threat.

Holy Angel Academy was already one of the top-tier academies.

If they were misunderstood, it would be very difficult to clear it up.

Of course, perhaps Holy Angel Academy didn’t need to worry that much.

If I could destroy the Floating Island in one fell swoop and they withdrew from the competition early, they wouldn’t cause trouble for others.

Before this.

When the fiery clouds started burning over the Floating Island in the distance, the team leader of Holy Angel Academy who was rushing back saw it, and his heart instantly sank.

That guy from the Wizard Academy had lied to him before, saying that person went to steal the Wizard Tower.

But look now, they have stolen their way to their Floating Island!

The people from Wizard Academy were truly disgusting.

Fortunately, he hadn’t listened to him.

And the other party had three of their members killed by Tan Han, with only two escaping.

The price was not small either.

But this did not improve his mood.

This time, neither of the two great academies had gained any advantage; they had paid a heavy price for their arrogance.

However, at this moment, the Wizard Academy side was relieved to see that it wasn’t the Wizard Tower that was attacked.

But the cost of this trip was still too great, losing three wizard apprentices at once!

Death represented a cliff-like drop in their corresponding score!

But not long after, the students of Holy Angel Academy noticed the abnormal situation of the Floating Island.

The other party was retracting the Floating Island and activating the shield to leave that sea of fire rain.

Seeing this, Aqier also breathed a sigh of relief.

Fortunately, Elwis was still holding the fort at the Floating Island.

He had the permission, and although moving the Floating Island would come at a great cost, the damage caused to the Floating Island by the spell effect that enveloped the entire island would be even greater.

Thinking about those methods similar to Tan Han’s, if it were Tan Han, she might have been able to dismantle the Floating Island.

If the energy source was gone, it could be obtained again by holding a ritual.

But if the Floating Island was overturned by the other party, that would be terrible.

But the stone in Aqier’s heart had not been set down for long before it was lifted up again.

Whether it was the Wizard Academy flying with Sorcery Tools or the Holy Angel Academy flying with Divine Arts, their speed was not actually very fast, at least not as fast as the highly mobile Flying Brooms of the witches.

You should know that even in the Witch Academy, this thing required a flying license to go up into the sky.

Did you think it was a joke?

At this moment, the Floating Island had already broken away from that blazing sea of fiery clouds.

And not long after leaving, the fiery clouds suddenly disappeared.

It should be that the other party had given up casting the spell, but the crux of the problem was that the Floating Island’s movement had not stopped!

This was really fatal.

The energy required to move such a huge Floating Island was enormous.

Although its floating ability came from the Holy Light source, moving it consumed the energy source!

The same applied to attacks.

Moreover, the Floating Island still had its Holy Light Barrier protective shield active.

“Hahaha! Birdmen, serves you right! Your home got robbed!”

At this moment, the mockery from Wizard Academy arrived as expected.

This place was still a territory of Wizard Academy.

That Wizard team leader had rushed here at the fastest speed at the cost of completely damaging his Sorcery Tool, all to preside over the overall situation at the Wizard Tower.

Seeing that it was Holy Angel Academy that was attacked, how could they hold back from laughing at them now?

Although just a short while ago, they had also lost three students.

Aqier ignored them and quickly used a divine art to rush back.

She didn’t think Elwis was the kind of person who didn’t know the priorities, but even if he had the main permission for the Floating Island, he couldn’t intervene with the Floating Island without entering it.

And at this moment, I, who was constantly monitoring the surrounding situation, also saw the holy angels in the distance with their special effects cranked up to the max.

The effects of their divine art when they flew were truly dazzling.

This kind of divine art was destined to prevent them from carrying out surprise attacks.

They’ve walked a narrow path.

I calculated the current distance to the Wizard Tower; it was still quite far.

And I tried it, the solidified divine art of the Floating Island actually couldn’t lock onto the students of Holy Angel Academy.

This is simply outrageous!

In the end, do I have to watch helplessly as they “seize power”?

At this moment, Aqier was leading many holy angels back, and even they couldn’t believe how the Floating Island was operating at this moment.

They were also marveling at Elwis’s audacity.

Just now, they had seen the Divine Arts Cannon and other defenses in operation, seemingly pointing at them.

“Elwis Ted! Open the Holy Light Barrier!”

At this moment, Aqier’s voice, enhanced by a divine art, became piercing and echoed.

I, in the church, naturally heard this voice as well.

After some deliberation, I also opened the protective shield.

The other party had the main permission, had entered the range of the Floating Island, and could cancel the emergency permission at any time.

Damn it this thing is just annoying.

It seems it’s time to get rid of that guy Aqier.

I took another bottle of recovery potion.

I felt like I was drinking this stuff like water.

But it didn’t matter, I’d just treat it as filling my stomach.

They were only four angels, but I couldn’t be careless either.

After all, that team leader was clearly not comparable to those ordinary weak holy angels.

Tan Han could guard the ritual, and although I don’t know what happened later, I feel it should be about the same.

The advantage in numbers is just a hindrance in a high-end battle.

I am very clear on this point.

At this moment, I looked at the permission guide I had deliberately dug out.

Among them was something I had been looking forward to for a long time.

“Seize Power”.

When Seize Power is initiated, the main permission holder will receive a notification, and the one who is ultimately forced to leave the range of the Floating Island loses the permission.

Of course, the supplementary rules also stated that if the main permission holder is killed, the Floating Island’s permission will be put on hold and needs to be reset.

This was also a method.

Of course, there was a third method, but I directly ignored it.

The other party would never voluntarily transfer the permission; it was their lifeblood.

Oh, no, no, they don’t have that anymore.

The Floating Island is more important than that thing.

To give up voluntarily meant to be eliminated voluntarily.

This was the dilemma Holy Angel Academy was now facing.

I’m now thinking whether to engage in a verbal game with the other party or directly enter a combat state?

The Floating Island was their home ground, but it wouldn’t give them a blessing like the World Tree.

This place was more like a base that needed to be guarded.

Only if it was safe, would they be safe.

From the very beginning when the rules of the exchange competition were set, it only seemed fair.

The unfairness was just a lack of voice.

Any academy that had a say had its own fairness and restrictions given by other academies.

But that was before the start of the competition.

Once the exchange competition started, the so-called fairness would fluctuate with the various choices made by the students.

And now I had Holy Angel Academy by the throat.

Don’t talk about unfairness.

Before talking about unfairness, you should think about how the privileges you haven’t enjoyed are also unfair to others.

I just didn’t give them a chance to use them.

At this moment, I stood quietly in the church, with my hands behind my back, waiting for the final moment to arrive.

I was now in my peak state.

At this moment, the group of holy angels who walked into the Floating Island looked at the surface of the island, which had been destroyed by flames, and the anger in their hearts could no longer be suppressed.

Flames like rainwater burned the exposed surface of the island, the buildings were deformed by the flames, the decorative vegetation turned to scorched earth, and even the central church was now completely unrecognizable.

The decorative glass had melted, the ground was scorched black by the flames.

They couldn’t imagine what kind of means would cause such destruction, but fortunately, the other party did not destroy the power of the Holy Light Source.

He had bet correctly on this point.

It’s just a bit of a pity…

Aqier turned his head to look at the pillar of light in the distance.

That ritual of the Witch Academy had benefited.

By this calculation, even if the Floating Island was preserved, the Witch Academy had already scored three points.

This gap was completely cliff-like.

The Phantoms of the Past in the Ancient Battlefield were getting stronger and stronger, and even the Phantoms of the Past that could fly were causing more and more trouble for the Floating Island.

Originally, he thought that with the energy source, he could relax a little.

Facing those Phantoms of the Past, he could just activate the solidified divine art defense.

But as they walked all the way, they didn’t see a single angel.

He opened the individual rankings, and finally his pupils shrank.

Elwis was dead!

Then who was operating the Floating Island right now?

That witch?

Impossible, that witch couldn’t have obtained the permission.

Last night, he had fumbled with this system for half a day, setting the permission so that only Holy Angel Academy could obtain it.

But at this moment, they had already entered the Floating Island, but the Floating Island was still moving towards the distance.

“Let’s go, to the church, something’s wrong!”

Aqier, who had come to his senses, shouted urgently, and then headed towards the church.

Soon, they arrived at the entrance.

At this moment, they looked inside, and it could be said that it was also a mess here, without the previous solemn and dignified feeling.

Especially that figure made their anger flare up.

“Witch! Yang… Yue… Han!”

“You’re here. Slower than I expected.”

At this moment, I turned around to face their angry faces.

This tone of voice was like adding fuel to their fire, making them unable to maintain the poise and posture of a holy angel any longer.

Especially after seeing the two holy angel contestants lying there dead, and the energy source on the statue being consumed crazily, Aqier’s heart was bleeding!

“Revoke the permission! Stop all operations of the Floating Island!”

No matter how angry Aqier was at this moment, the permission must be stopped.

“Stop for what? Isn’t it nice to walk around like this and enjoy the high-altitude scenery?”

I smiled and continued to provoke them.

“Go to hell!”

At this moment, the angels, who were already furious, would not give me time for nonsense and attacked me immediately.

“Getting so rough right away? Is this the style of you holy angels? Don’t you know how to give way to a girl?”

Although I was saying that, my body had already entered a combat state.

Perhaps they were wary of the church here or the statue behind me, they were just using the power of the Holy Light to vent their emotions and physical strength.

But at this level, I just used a body strengthening spell and maneuvered among so many people.

“Mercy is for sincere believers, but the wrath of the Holy Light will fairly judge every witch who defiles the Holy Light!”

“Good heavens, have you already made ‘witch’ a noun to refer to bad people? There are also many good people among witches, and there are also ascetics who believe in the Holy Light. Do you know how much harm this action of yours will cause to those people?”

“Sharp-tongued! Accept your judgment!”

“Witch! Elwis is dead again. This time, I will definitely make you accompany her in death!”

“Are all holy angels just guys who only care about lovey-dovey things? What a disgrace. If a video like this gets back to Holy Angel Academy, can you still hold your head up high?”

“Holy Angel Academy does not forbid relationships… For my beloved, I will give my life to kill you, you witch…”

This guy was still spouting his set of theories.

Not to mention my current thoughts, even Aqier beside him showed a look of disgust.

However, after seeing me looking at him, Aqier quickly composed himself.

After all, “don’t air dirty laundry in public”.

This matter had to be discussed after they returned.

“Enough!”

At this moment, Aqier let out a loud roar, stopping the fight between us, and also stopping that guy from going crazy.

At this moment, they had vented their emotions.

What they needed to face now was the end of this matter.

“Enough, stop making a fool of yourself.”

Aqier grabbed the guy who couldn’t stop and knocked him to the ground with a punch to calm him down.

“Witch, I admit your plan has succeeded. Just now, your ritual was completed. I think… how about we end this farce here!”

“Oh? Is the ritual over? I didn’t even pay much attention, but… to end it now, how is that possible?”

I said without giving an inch.

“Don’t push your luck! The reason I’m talking to you like this is because you have the strength worthy of it. Now that your plan has succeeded, you’ve saved the ritual, get out of here.”

Aqier’s tone was extremely suppressed.

If not for the current situation, why would he be talking like this?

This was the Floating Island!

It was the territory of the holy angels.

To have such an equal conversation with an outsider was already a humiliation to them.

“Plan? What plan? To save the ritual? Did I say our plan was to save the ritual? The opportunity is right in front of me, the fat meat is right by my mouth. If it were you, would you be willing? The advantage is mine, why wouldn’t I press my advantage?”

“So you choose to fight to the death!”

Aqier’s voice trembled with agitation as he spoke.

He had reached his limit.

“You were so restrained just now, were you afraid of destroying the church and the statue? Now that you’re going all out, you don’t care anymore?”

“The church can be rebuilt, the statue can be remade, but the chance to kill you is only this once! For the Holy Light… Witch! Accept my judgment!”

At this moment, Aqier was surprisingly calm.

He picked up his huge Holy Light cross sword and held it in front of him.

At this moment, the hatred for me turned into killing intent and was contained within his body.

To be able to do this was definitely not something a newcomer could achieve.

As expected of the Holy Light Church that is spread all over the world.

Could this guy named Aqier have been trained since he was a child?

This possibility flashed through my mind, and I immediately reacted.

Protection of the Elemental Spirit of Fire.

Flame Fairy Transformation Spell.
